“Knocked out?” Fatty Big Sea was startled. Was I too hard on it? But it didn’t unleash any attacks.
Fatty Big Sea hesitated for a moment. After some thought, it whirled up some waves and surfed over. Using its fish fins, it pulled back the Dragon Ant’s eyelids.
“Still alive.” Fatty Big Sea sighed in relief. “How could this fellow have Second Baby and Sixth Baby’s powers at the same time?” Fatty Big Sea kept thinking about it, but it had no answers.
“Merged and evolved,” Gao Peng said while shaking his head.
“Huh, merged and evolved?” Fatty Big Sea slapped its big fat head and rolled its eyes. With a longing tone, it continued, “I still miss those little Dragon Ants. Even though they were a little dumb, they were quite obedient. Now, who controls their body?” Fatty Big Sea asked with uncertainty.
Usually, for this type of merging and evolving, several different souls would kill each other for the right to control the body. In the end, only one winner would control the body. Even in special cases, there would be only two souls at most—one main soul and one secondary soul.
“The seven brothers will take turns being in control,” Gao Peng said.
“Huh?” Fatty Big Sea’s eyes widened. “Seven souls?” It had never heard of seven souls controlling one body for as long as it had lived.
Just like a normal human would find it hard to imagine the possibility of a person with seven heads conjoined, this was preposterous. Fatty Big Sea furrowed its brows, a gloomy haze flashing below its eyes. “Could it be that one of the babies was just pretending to be the others to trick you? They were from the same mother and know one another very well, so imitating the others wouldn’t be a difficult thing.”
“Nope.” Gao Peng shook his head. “It’s seven souls.” Since Gao Peng had said so, Fatty Big Sea could only believe it.
“Unbelievable, unbelievable,” Fatty Big Sea mumbled, staring at the Hundred Faces Dragon Ant like it was some kind of wonder.
“Actually, this is quite good. I liked all seven of them, so to exclude any one of them would be sad. Even though their bodies no longer exist, at least their souls are still here. We can still see them anytime.” Gao Peng comforted Fatty Big Sea, at the same time, himself as well.
Fatty Big Sea had a sudden idea. “In the future, if they can evolve into a creature with seven heads, maybe they can all appear at the same time. There are numerous creatures with many heads, such as the Nine-Headed Snake, Multi-Headed Cannibal Devil, Hundred-Headed Griffin, and Three-Headed Dragon.”
“Okay. Since you’re awake, let’s head back first.” Gao Peng patted Fatty Big Sea’s head and smiled.
…
“What are these metal thingies, Lei Jiao? I’ve never seen them before.” At the edge of the Ominous Thunder Tribe, two youngsters who had just made it back from hunting walked swiftly into the tribal grounds. Behind them was a thunder beast that looked like a triceratops. It carried the yields of the day on its back as it headed towards the slaughterhouse.
They smiled and waved to other members of their tribe as they passed them before running curiously to join a crowd of onlookers around a strange structure. It was being constructed by a group of oddly-dressed people who wore yellow bowler hats on their heads.
“What is this? For sleeping?” Lei Can laughed exaggeratedly as he stood up and gestured. He chuckled twice before realizing that no one had paid any attention to him… His laughter became awkward.
“It’s a chicken station!” a senior said firmly.
“Chicken station? To rear chickens?” Lei Can stared at the steel structure, which already had a visible profile intertwined with steel reinforcement bars. He nodded thoughtfully and said, “So it’s a place for chickens to live in. Since chickens can fly, there’s no need to worry about them falling to their deaths.”
“Enough, enough, what nonsensical chatter. Go back and spend time with your wives.” A tribe elder of the Ominous Thunder Tribe came and chased the group of onlookers away.
“My wife is here to see this as well,” Lei Dashi barked.
Typically, the people of the tribe had very little entertainment. Other than going out hunting, they would just stay home and make babies. Sometimes, they would catch a naive crocodile or a blind tiger as a pet to play with. That was their only form of amusement. Obviously, they wouldn’t miss this rare chance to observe new happenings in the tribe.
“This is not for rearing chickens!” Naturally, the tribe elder had more experiences and knowledge than the other tribe members.
“Then what does it rear?” Lei Can’s face was filled with confusion.
“It rears nothing!” The elder was slightly angry now. “Everyone shut up and listen to me.
“This is a gadget from the Huaxia Tribe; they gifted it to us for free, saying it was some base station. It also came with stuff like servers and a network host. They say that after we build this, we can use handphones,” the elder said calmly before coughing. Truthfully, he didn’t know much either. All the technical terms that those people had mentioned sounded like Greek to him. He could only remember so much, but it was enough to fool these lowly b*stards.
“Hand chickens?” One guy was deep in thought, reaching out his left hand and making gestures. He tried grabbing the air and found it hard to picture it as fun. If I squeeze it once, will it make a noise? I can squeeze a chicken to death.
At the same time, groups of people from the Huaxia Tribe support division rushed toward various other tribes, bringing them warm greetings and care from the people of Huaxia.
…
On Earth Star, mountains were trembling and the ground was shaking; the land rumbled loudly.
In the Shuzhong area, deep mountains had turned into monstrous jungles and thick fog rose from the torrents of rivers, as the sun incinerated the surface of the river, vaporizing it into a thin layer of gold mist. The land where the three rivers met was still a piece of untouched land.
Surprisingly, there was a sizeable town at the foot of a mountain. In fact, there were many monster trainers living in this town. It was hard to believe that people still lived on Earth Star even after it had been destroyed to this extent.
“You old bald donkey, you oppressed me for many years. Today, I will destroy everything that you want to protect! Hahahaha—”
The surface of the river whirled, and a great wave rose up. The people by the shore were used to it. They packed up their stores calmly, then shut their doors and windows before retreating to a cave in the mountain behind the town.
Boom! A tidal wave rose into the sky as a gale howled. An extremely long aquatic dragon, ink green in color, boldly stirred and leaped out from the choppy waters.
“That swine.” The Giant Buddha of Joy Mountain who had been sitting steadily on the ground opened its eyes suddenly. It was so mottled that even its mossy outer shell had split open, releasing a terrifying aura from within.
“After all these years, it’s still not safe.” The voice echoed from the sky above.
Boom— Piercing past the layers of clouds, a powerful and enormous hand slammed down from above. The five fingers closed in unison, grabbing the aquatic dragon mid-flight, as if it was catching a mudskipper.
Bang. The aquatic dragon turned into a skyful of bloodied mist. The enormous hand then gradually disappeared from heaven and earth.
The peak of the mountain trembled violently, and the crags on the body of the Giant Buddha of Joy Mountain began to fall off rapidly, revealing gold skin beneath.
“It’s awake.” In a land far away, a Quasi God monster trainer from the Qingshen Tribe stood on the shoulder of a Qing Luan, a mythical bird creature, looking toward the south. The Qing Luan said with a deep voice, “This was the power of the Ancestral Land back when it was still asleep. Should we approach it?” The monster trainer’s eyes were fixed in the direction of the south.
They already knew that the area had a terrifying existence that was asleep, but because the existence had never shown any malice, to prevent any sudden conflict, they never approached it.
“Let’s see what its next step will be.” The Qing Luan shook its head.
The outer shell of the Giant Buddha of Joy Mountain had completely fallen off. A gleaming golden giant that measured up to 330 feet descended into the human realm; it had a face of Buddha with a swastika symbol between its brows.
The enormous Buddha stood up and looked at the people who had ran out from the cave by his feet. It calmly said, “I’ve been here to bless thee for thousands of years. Our fate has ended.”
After finishing the sentence, it lifted its head and marched toward the location of the portal that led to Jiutian Shidi.
