Chapter 4501: Absorption

"How are you feeling, Prime Dynvar?" I asked after a few seconds of silence.

"I had never felt, Lord Arys. My body and soul are stronger than it had ever been, and my laws have reached the height I had not expected they would while I am Prime," she replied and seemed surprised by her own words.

"I am glad, and please call me Prime," I said. She looked at me before simply nodding.

"Please give me an hour to gather myself; then you can begin," she said. "Take all the time you need, Prime Dynvar," I replied.

She smiled before closing her eyes, while I looked before sitting down.

There are eyes on me, but they didn’t feel threatening. Not yet; I begin to make arrangements. Though, despite all the preparations, the most significant responsibility is on Dynvar to protect me.

It’s not something I like. I would be an idiot if I said I fully trust her in her short time, but I don’t really have a choice if I want to make use of this opportunity.

I wish I could take the fruit with me and consume it later, but it couldn’t happen.

Not only because I couldn’t pull it inside my core, but also because I had sensed the active part the tree plays; without it, even if someone can fruit out, they wouldn’t be able to get much from it.

I pushed those thoughts away and focused on the data.

I have chosen a pretty powerful fruit. What happened with Dynvar had made me scared, and I want to take every precaution I can.

The power of fruit might have scared me, but it is not the only thing it did.

It had also made me excited. I have seen the tremendous increase that it has given to Dynvar, and I want it as well. I am even planning something, and I hope it will work.

It was a little over two and a half hours, than Dynvar opened her eyes.

"My apologies, L..Prime Arys, it took longer than I had thought," she apologized. "There is no need to apologize, Prime Dynvar," I replied.

I don’t mind, as it has given me time to sort things out.

A moment passed, and I took out the mango-like fruit. I could feel the immense energies of it, and one part of my mind is telling me not to do this.

It’s too dangerous.

I breathed in its wonderful smell before taking a bite of the fruit. As I did, I felt the explosion of the taste.

It is the most wonderful thing I have ever tasted. Even the nectar seemed pale in front of it.

I took another bite before taking another, and then another. Before I knew it, I had consumed the whole fruit, and now I was left with an empty hand.

"It disappears, before we know it," said Prime Dynvar, while I laughed, before closing my eyes and focusing inside.

I saw the fruit turning into energy. It is not the energy coming out of it, but rather the fruit that is turning into energy.

It may feel physical, but the fruit is a construct of pure energy.

Buzz!

As it happened, the formation in my core buzzed, and pure forbidden power was released inside me.

I watched the energy, and I was relieved that it wasn’t reacting, which it often does with energy.

I do not plan to simply get strengthened with it. I took this chance to absorb more forbidden energy into my body. The data I got says

Soon, the whole fruit turned into energy, and this energy began to clash. In that clash, I start to sense the laws, and they become cleaner and more transparent.

It is the laws of the marsh, but as the clash intensified. I begin to see something else through them.

They are still the same laws, but I am comprehending the laws that are not there. The law of swallowing and the sun; I begin to comprehend them all, including healing and killing.

The laws clash, creating insight into the other laws.

Now, the only thing I have to do is understand it, while my body and soul absorb the energy coming from the clash.

It is very comfortable. If I had not been focused on comprehending the insight. I would have focused on the feeling, that is, the most comfortable feeling in the world.

Minutes passed, and the clash intensified, fuelled by the power of energies and the insight of the laws.

I soaked it all in.

My mind and soul seemed to be hungry for it, and they were absorbing the energy quickly. Faster than Dynvar did.

I am not surprised. My body is different; it hungers for such things. It not only absorbs it quickly, but also digests it faster, which makes a world of difference.

Minutes passed, and I lost myself in the insight. Even the small part of me that had focused outside had brought in, and now I only concentrate on insight.

It is flooding inside me. Even the things I had not understood earlier in the centre of the curtain had begun to understand.

I had become so lost that I had forgotten the time. It was too wonderful not to get lost in it.

Still, I didn’t remain lost forever, and the state is broken, when I began to boil inside my body. When I looked inside, I was shocked to find the state of the energy.

Over two hours have passed since I got lost inside.

The energies inside me are clashing hard. The energies created by it are no longer comfortable.

My body is still absorbing them, but not at the same pace as before. The energy is too powerful to be absorbed fast, but it is still being absorbed.

Although I am worried, because the energy has yet to reach its peak power.

It is still growing stronger, and the stronger it grows, the slower the rate of absorption becomes. However, the pace of increase is faster.

When I looked at the increase, I got. I am genuinely shocked. It is huge, greater than I had thought. I would get with the fruit, and it is yet to be over.

It didn’t make me feel good, because energy is powerful and fast. It has already gone beyond what Dynvar had absorbed.

I took a deep breath and calmed myself. Panic would not help; I need to be calm to face the danger that is coming my way.
