Chapter 2665: You Are Truly An Idiot
Chapter 2665: You Are Truly An Idiot
I could not believe the human had dared to say those words to me, the gall of this bastard to say something like this to me to a yellow vidette.
The rage that was bubbling inside me threatened to burst out and burn this little human bastard with it, but I calmed down. Even with all its abilities, I do not think it is capable of doing anything to me, at least not yet, and I am not out of options.
If the need arises, I will not hesitate to use that thing; it will cost me a lot, but it is still much better than getting disappeared.
"How do you plan to kill me? You did not have the raw strength to do it, and I could still move through your strings," I asked while keeping all my options ready to deal with anything that came in my way.
My videte energy is trying to destroy the strings, but these strings are acting like they did not exist. My energy had just passed through them without affecting them even the slightest.
"Oh, it is simple; I will make you disappear," the human replied with a smile, and I shuddered and nearly activated my last option before realizing it was all joke.
"You joke quite well, Zaar; as I have said before, I could still move through your strings, and I know for certain you won't be able to make me disappear till you stop all my movements," I said and took a step toward it.
It is very straining to move with all these strings wrapped around me, but as long as I am willing to use my strength, I can move.
"Oh, we can rectify that," It said, and immediately, I saw the new strings become visible to my horror. I had been extremly careful, even using a very powerful consumable sensory artifact to make up for the mistake I made earlier, but even it couldn't sense the strings.
I used every speck of strength I had in my body as I tried to move, but to my horror, I could barely twitch. The only part of my body I could move freely is my mouth, but I do not have any words to speak through it.
"I don't know why you Grimms are so confident; you know you should have run away when I revealed my strings. If you had used all trump cards and made some sacrifices, you might have been able to leave, but now, you are dead."
"You are truly an idiot to fall into such a state, despite having all the advantages," said the little human and looked at me as If I were truly the world's biggest idiot.
Hearing those words and seeing those expressions, all the raging fury in my heart turned cold as a wave of shame washed through me. The words that the human spoke are cruel but right; I have made a mistake from the beginning, and I could only blame my cowardly nature for it.
The biggest mistake I made was not killing the human the moment it appeared in the formation. I could have achieved it; experiencing the power of its shield, I knew I could have broken them if I tried without holding back.
Even if I had lost that, there was still another chance when it had revealed its strings on me. I shouldn't have let my pride and patriotic emotions get into my head; if I had followed my cautious nature and had used every bit of the strength I have, I might have been able to escape it.
Now I am bound, but I am not so helpless as it thing; there is still one more thing I could do. It will kill me, but it would also not survive; even those quasi-Grand Lord would have a hard time surviving if they got caught in it.
"You think you have won, human?" I asked with the freedom it had given me. "Yes, I have won. I have my strings wrapped around you and the moment, and within a few seconds, I would be finished with all the preparation,"
"The moment I am done with them, you will disappear, never to appear again," the human replied with utter confidence.
"Good, then I will see how you will survive when I self-destruct my core," I said and used my fury to light up the spark to explode my core; it would only need one and half seconds, and even humans weren't able to perform a miracle with all its abilities.
There is one way it could have saved its life; the door behind me, but it would not open with the strength it has. The door may not have the formation, but it is not smooth to open; those two needed my strength raw physical strength to open the door.
I could see its face morphing into horror as it heard my words, and it gave me endless pleasure seeing that, and I hoped I would hear its screams before dying; it would really give me a piece before departing the world.
Hun!
Suddenly that horrified expression on the human's face disappeared and in its place appeared a big radiant smile.
"Like, I had said, you are truly an idiot," It said, and I instantly realized the meaning of its words as the sharp pain materialized in my chest, and to my horror, I saw the thick bundle of strings wrapping around my core.
It shocked me but also confused me at the same moment; the strings are powerful, without a doubt, but I am not weak, especially in defenses. My body is stronger than any defensive method of any High-Grandmaster. No matter how thin the string is, it wouldn't have been able to pierce into me without my knowledge.
I was opening my mouth to ask when the answer revealed itself; a delicate formation crafted out of the strings materialized on my chest.
"Say goodbye, Grimm; I really hope I come across idiots like you often; it will make things a lot easier for me," said the human as the sense of defeat filled my heart.
The Grimm disappeared, but the last look in its eyes remained in front of me. That acceptance of defeat in its eyes is something that is rarely seen, whether it is Grimms or Humans, especially among the high-level powerhouses that forget their will like steel.
It is really hard to make them see the defeat, but this one is defeated.
Though those emotions have lasted only for a moment before it begins to experience the worse pain in its life as the formation begins to harvest its essence energies, all of which will be sucked by the mysterious tree.
Before coming to this ruin, I have thought of many scenarios I might come across, but even in my wildest dream, I have never thought I would capture a vidette and harness it.
Videttes are on a completely different level, and I know my strength; I am far-far away from matching the vidette; it is so powerful that it could crush my strength, especially me who had not received the amazing boost a few hours ago.
Now, I have a vidette in my core, which is going to bring me tremendous benefits, more than I had ever imagined before coming to this ruin.
