Chapter 2613: Burn
Chapter 2613: Burn
“Hehe!”
It let out a laugh as I appeared behind its back, and at that very moment, thick as water, earthly lighting energy burst out of its body.
It is so powerful that it would burn me just with a touch; even if our weapons clashed right now, I would be sent flying like a broken kite with serious injuries.
Though the chances of that happening are slim, with its current strength, it will be easily able to avoid my sword and attack my body, which will be a game over for me. So, I have to do something; if I do not, then only death awaits me.
‘Forth Burst!’
I said, and a sanguine aura burst out of my body; it was burning its essence, so I will do the same, and my method is better.
Learning from the last time, I have made a pretty heavy change in the fourth burst. The power it gives is still overwhelming but not uncontrollable like before; this time, it is not injuring me as it did last time.
The sanguine power burst out of me, and instantly my movement became faster and more powerful. My sword moved toward its back with all the power it could harness.
It is a good thing; I am targeting its spine instead of its chest. Unlike what it had throught, I had no interest in its chest; while it would great to strike its chest, I know it is extremly dangerous, and it had prepared many safeguards; I might not even be able to touch it before it blasted me off with its giant hammer.
Even attacking its back, its hammer is approaching fast, while a powerful defensive method had seeped out of its skin, formed a second later above its stone skin.
My sword moving at an extremly fast speed, but I see it moving slowly. The fractions of seconds had turned into minutes, giving me an extremly clear look at what was happening around me, and seeing that, my expressions couldn’t help but turn a little nasty.
Still, the thought of retreating never crossed my mind; instead, I kept pouring even more power into my sword, trying to make my attack faster and stronger.
Khaaaaaaas!
My sword touched the thick defensive layer covering its skin, and I have to say, it was quite powerful as it was able to stop my sword for a fraction of seconds before it moved toward the spine of Apeman, cutting across the defensive like a hot knife cutting through the butter.
Tunk!
Soon, my sword pierced through the defensive layer, and the tip of my sword touched its stone skin of it before I began to withdraw the sword with all my strength and moved my body, as the hammer was upon me and would strike without a doubt.
If I had withdrawn my attack when my sword had pierced its defensive method, I would have been able to retreat safely, but now I stood no chance of it.
BANNG!
I had just barely withdrawn my sword out of it when the hammer struck me, and I felt as if I had been struck by a meteor of lightning.
Crack Crack Crack
Immediately, I stot back while a tide of force began to spread over my body; as it spread, it splintered my skin, wrecked my internal organs, and broke my bones; aside from my neck and skull, which had been protected under an extremly powerful formation, powerful enough to stop the tide that came to crush it.
Puh Puh Puh
I kept vomiting hard while dense healing energy filled my body and mixed with the healing energy of my own. The second healing energy came from the formation, which my clone activated a moment before the hammer stuck me.
‘I survived,’ I said as the bloody smile came across my vomiting face, I was able to minimize the impact of an attack by moving my body and making the area dense with strings.
If I had been hit with the full impact of the hammer, I wouldn’t have been conscious right now; there is a high chance I would have been dead, but I survived.
It had been a while since I had been injured to such a degree; it reminded me of the battles I used to fight. At that time, there was no armor or all-powerful defensive method that could defend me; I used to get hundreds of injuries in every fight.
Those were the good old days.
Various formations lit up across me, helping me stabilize, and the formations worked fast, but by the time I got control over my body and speed, the Apeman had already appeared in front of me.
“You have fallen into my trap, and now you will die,” It said with a killing grin as it gathered the dense energies around the hammer for the one last attack, which was going many times more powerful than the attack, the Grimm had launched a few moments ago.
“I did not fail Grimm; you have. You lost Grimm!” I said with a bloody smile, shocking it out, but soon it got controlled over its emotions and opened its mouth to refute when a horror appeared on its face.
Crackle Crackle Crackle
At a place where the tip of my sword touched its back, a tiny white dot became visible before it began to spread around its body, burning the golden fire energies that formed an invisible armor around it.
In less than a second, it had burned more than 95% of golden fire energy covering the Grimms body before it had zeroed on the source of the white crystal badge.
It covered the while crystal badge, and just as it did, the golden fire inside it came and began to fight for its survival, but from the beginning, it stood no chance, and the white fire began to burn it into oblivion till nothing of it had remained and all it did that in a second, while the Grimm watched in horror.
The scene was so shocking that it caught the eye of everyone, and they stopped fighting, from the Grandmasters to quasi Grand Lords, all stop.
What had just happened was shocking; the white fire had burned something that belonged to the strongest powerhouse of the Grimms, and it was not like the fire had offered any resistance. It had not, like oil; it burned as the white fire touched me.
“Now that your protection is gone, who will save you from my strings,” I said to it, bringing it out of its horror.
The deep fury appeared in its eyes, and it opened its mouth, but it seemed to have remembered something and closed its mouth and began to retreat with full power.
“There is no use in running; you have already caught in my strings,” I said and twirled my fingers, and the very second, the Apeman stopped on its track, with grave horror in its eyes. Its face would also have shown the same expressions if not for its movement being frozen by my strings.
“Now, say goodbye to the wo” I stopped in my tracks as the great presence covered me. It felt like God was looking down at me.
I froze in sheer fear; it was not just my body that froze but also my mind; the presence was too powerful for me to resist.
