Chapter 2581: Death Of Grand Lord II

Chapter 2581: Death Of Grand Lord II

“I wish I could say I am surprised, but I am not; I feared something like this might happen since Vivian and Anna had brought back the news,” said Matron Mavis softly.

“Yes, we all feared this but could do nothing,” said Lord of Glass before turning to Matron Mavis with a serious face. “Don’t go to the realm, Mavis.

The real trap is for you; my death was just the bait,” said Lord of glass, hearing that all the councilmembers shuddered.

“I am already at the entrance of the dark rain realm, and if I didn’t take revenge for you, then what use these old bones be?” she asked with deep anger burning in her dark eyes, and one could see her dangerous abyssal flames that are threatening to burst out of her body.

“Don’t, Mavis; you are the shield that is stopping that bastard Fazdr; you should calm yourself and think rationally,” requested Lord of glass, seeing the burning rage in her eyes.

“So, I just sit around and do nothing while Grimms begin to kill us,” she asked, and her voice was loud, letting out the grief and sadness she was feeling at the death of her friend, whom she had known for over four hundred years.

“I did not say that; I want you to take revenge for me, massacre those bastards till not a single kin of their remained, but I hope you will have patients,” He said and floated toward her with glass formation before appearing in front of all the Grand Lords.

“You all will not have to wait long; in two days, Micheal will have the Grandmaster ready, and then you all will attack the Grimms, and it would be a force they would never expect us to have, and that is the great advantage we will have,” he added.

With the death of the Grand Lord, no attack would be a surprise attack; they would be expecting it and, given their planning, fully prepared to crush whatever came at me. They might be even ready to make a final stand.

Hearing him, she finally calmed down and, seeing that, a smile small smile couldn’t help but appear on the face of the Lord of glass.

Very few people know this, but Lord of glass is a very shy person and rarely shows his emotions, which is why he always remains invisible and only shows himself when it is absolutely necessary.

“Just how did they kill you, Winston?” asked Patriarce Bradford. The translucent figure of Lord of glass did not immediately answer the question; instead, he closed his eyes for a second before opening them and beginning to narrate details.

“There were two factors in their plan; first was Fazdr of Golden Fire, and the other is the anti-mirror formation, which I don’t know where they have got it from,” He said before continuing with further details.

Everyone listened without disturbing him even for a second, though there was no reason to disturb him since the Lord of glass is very detailed in narrating the events of his death.

If Micheal had been here, he would have been very dumbstruck seeing the reaction of these people or even Lord of the glass of his death. He would have expected more emotions, given the one greatest shield of our race had died and not some common Grandmaster.

Though, if he had looked carefully, he would have been startled to see that nearly everyone’s eyes were raging like Matron Mavis, especially of Grand Commander and Lady Vivian; the fire in their eyes were burning much greater than Lady Mavises, but they are controlling it.

They don’t have an option; the ones that had killed their teacher are far above their grade, and even Grand Lords wouldn’t be able to deal with it aside from Matron Mavis.

“If not for that bastard Fazdr, I would have been able to breach that anti-mirror formation and escape through the mirror dimension,” he finished with a sigh.

The silence descended in the hall, and for a whole minute, nobody spoke.

“How long can you hold your souls from breaking apart?” asked Matron Mavis; “Two weeks at most,” He replied and turned to his student. “There is so much I have to leave to teach two of you that even a year wouldn’t be enough,” He said with a deep sadness.

If it had been anyone in his body, even Grand Lord, they would have died the instant their body was destroyed, but the Lord of glass is not anyone normal. He is someone who has comprehended the Grand Art.

The Grand Art brings changes in body and soul; the Fortress of Mirror does the same. One of its abilities is to bind the soul to the mirror dimension, which lets the soul survive longer than a normal soul. Still, this is an amazing ability to have.

“Teacher didn’t you give Micheal a piece of the mirror; he might have devised a method that would help you remain in the world longer,” said Lady Hera suddenly, and hearing that, everyone’s ears perked up, but there was barely any change in Lord of glass.

“For thousands of years, many hosts of this Inheritance tried it and even gave to many scholars to study it, but no one succeeded,” he said and shook his head.

“No one had ever succeeded in creating a hundred Grandmasters in nine months, either,” Grand Commander said back. Hearing that, the Lord of glass couldn’t help but shake his head in a mirthless smile.

“I also want to live a little longer, girls, watch you grow to your full potential and watch every last Grimm Monster get massacred, and in this war, we might have some hope due to Micheal and other talented young people, but it will not happen,”

“Micheal might have some chance if he had some time to study that thing, but it had been barely three months since I had given that piece, and seeing how many responsibilities he has, I don’t think he even had time to look at what I have given him,” said the Lord of glass as he appeared in front of his student.

“At least let us ask him,” said Lady Vivian, and it is clear Lord of the glass wanted to reject it to save himself from the necessary hope, but seeing the expressions in their eyes, he wasn’t able to crush the hope they had in their eyes.

“Fine, summon him,” He said finally.

“Just what had happened?” I asked as I looked at a piece of the mirror in my hand; it was clear something had happened, and the changes were much more than this piece of mirror greying a little.

I really wanted to call the council and ask them about the condition of the Lord of Glass, but that seemed too presumptuous and not to mention rude, considering Grand Commander is the Lord of glass’s student.

Hun!

Still, I thought hard about it and finally made up my mind to ask about Lord of glass, even if it was rude, and about to connect my soul sense to my badge when I found teleportation formation covering me, and I disappeared from the conferment room.
