Chapter 2211: Defeated
Chapter 2211: Defeated
"You bastard, I will fuċkɨnġ kill you," The vidette raged as it walked out of the fog, and while it raged at James, it had wasted no time in attacking Rhea.
These fossiled bastards are very smart; they would not let their anger come in front of their objective. It knows the biggest hurdle of it killing us is Rhea. Once he dealt with her, no matter how many tricks we have, it will be able to finish us.
"When did this happen? A week ago, she would have already turned puddle of flesh and bones if she had fought against that thing," Jim said while motioning toward Rhea.
"A lot can happen within a week," I said without explaining. What happened with Rhea is her secret; I have no right to tell anyone about it. Jim seemed to understand that as he did not press any further.
"By the way, thank you. If not for you, I don't know when I could have been saved or been saved at all," He said a moment later, "It's at least I could do for a friend," I said with a smile before a small transparent bottle with purple-gold drop appeared in my hand.
"I have wasted a lot of resources to come here, but since you are a friend, I will forgo that; I only hope you will be able to replace this formation ink for me which I had used to open a way for you," I said and gave him the bottle.
"Sure, it is, at least I could do," He said and opened the bottle, and just as he did, his eyes couldn't help but widen up in shock.
"This!" He said, "It was a precious gift from someone; I hope you will replace it soon. I really need this," I said. Hearing that, an apologetic smile couldn't help but appear on his face.
"It will take me a little while to create a formation of ink of this quality, but I could still provide you with Grandmaster class formation ink; it will just be of lower quality," He sand took out three bottles of grey, yellow and cyan color.
"Till I do that, accept these as my thanks for saving me," He said and gave me the three bottles which I had readily accepted. "Thank you, but I still want that high Grandmaster class ink," I said as I put them in my storage.
"Rhea is good, slightly stronger than vidette, but she does not have the skills to defeat it," Jim said and turned to me.
"Don't judge yet; she might surprise you," I said. A surprise couldn't help but appear on his face, and he looked at me carefully and looked at me question, but when I did not say anything, he turned his gaze toward the battle.
"Do you really think Rhea could defeat it?" he asked, "She does not have sufficient skill and would need to overwhelm it with sheer power; that would put her extremely close to the Grandmasters," He said, and by the end, his voice has become low.
I did not answer as I don't have a clear answer about it, but I had seen the changes in her bloodline, and from the data I had collected, Rhea should have the power to defeat it.
BANG!
Half an hour passed by when a sudden change occurred in battle. The Grimm Monster had finally been able to evade Rhea's counter and stuck her squarely; the head of its hammer is as big as her.
A huge smile bloomed across Apeman's face as its hammer struck finally, but a second later, that huge smile froze away when it saw she did not explode into pieces or even fly back like a broken doll; instead, it just took a few steps back without much injuries on her body.
"How?" asked vidette in shock; it is not the only one; Jim also had quite surprise on her face.
While he knew about the prowess of Rhea's defense and with her advancement, he also understood the attack that would have blasted others into pieces would have only injured her, but when he saw it wasn't even able to injure her, he couldn't help but became surprised.
"It seemed like I had really underestimated the advancements she had made," Jim said softly while Rhea, who just stabilized herself, had a smile appear on her face.
"You disappoint me, vidette. I throught the vidette, I feared so much would be stronger than my nightmares of it, but it seemed like I had far too overestimated you," Rhea said, and powerful bloodline aura like never before burst out of her, and she flew toward the Apeman.
Rhea had trauma about the videttes after what she had experienced in the Lancet ruin. While she was not as heavily tortured as others due to her defense by vidette, it had still created a big trauma; this battle would help her heal from it.
Her attack was fast and sharp that Apeman was bȧrėly able to defend against it, but it was not lucky enough to defend second while clashed against its supremely defensive clay-like skin, and to the horror of the vidette, it had let inches deep mark across its ċhėst.
A horror appeared on the videttes eyes seeing that before it forcefully calmed itself and began to run away toward the broken formations.
"No, you won't," Rhea said and appeared in front of it and attacked it with even greater power than before.
The next minute was the worse of videttes like, nearly every attack of her had able to land on it, giving it the injury which should not be possible given its defense, but Rhea's sword is doing that and doing it finally.
BANG!
"Leave it alive," I called out when Rhea was about to pierce her sword into the ċhėst of the vidette.
"It is very sneaky; given a chance, it will run away," Rhea said while still attacking the vidette so it would not run away.
"You do not have to worry about that," I said with a smile and moved my fingers, and at the same moment, the vidette froze away, without having the ability to even twitch.
