Chapter 2184: Sudden Change
Chapter 2184: Sudden Change
A great surprise appeared on his face before a sad smile dawned on his. "The thing you are asking is in quite a demand, Micheal," He said a second.
"I know, but I need it for my experiments," I said; I really need it, though not as much as current people using it, but as I said to him, I am going to need it to perform some experiments, it would help me a lot.
"Those alchemists are going to kill me," He muttered before he turned toward me. "How about an hour each day for one month?" He asked while looking at me expectedly. "It is less than I had expected, but I will manage it," I replied after thinking for a few seconds.
"You have no idea how many alchemists want the time with that fire. There are hundreds of alchemists on the waitlist who are waiting for their time, and you are the one reason why things have become so worse," He said while looking at me accusingly.
"What does it have to do with me?" I asked, clearly confused about getting the blame for a thing I did not do.
"You brought back Grandmaster Salvador, and now, the old man hogging the time with fire. Shoeing away, even attacking the other alchemists who came to experiment with fire," He said while pointing the finger at me.
"Oh,"
So, the old man is hogging the time with fire. Well, let him do that; to me, he was nothing to if not helpful. He had created some essence mixtures that are hard for anyone but Grandmaster to do, and he was quick.
"You do not have to worry about him; with your relationship with him, he will not stop you using it," he said.
"There is one thi" He was in the midway of asking me something when suddenly he stopped, and his expressions became extremly serious and before I could even ask what had happened, he disappeared in front of me.
One minute he was in front of me, and the next minute he was not. He simply disappeared, not leaving behind even the slightest proof.
The question is, what has happened for him to leave like that? It was very sudden. He was just talking to me when he stopped disappearing; something serious must have happened for him to disappear like that.
Now the question is whether I should leave or stay; I thought for a few seconds before deciding to wait for a little.
If the problem is not big, he will soon return, and if it is big, he may message me. I will stay for fifteen minutes and leave if he does not return to them.
I opened my holowatch and looked at the feed, there I did not find anything. Nor I had expected to; the feed is for the general people. There is nothing too different going on except the general news about the war and discussions on it.
I immediately opened another portal, and this one is quite a secret one, and I had to scan my medallion to do it.
As I had opened it, there was a notification at the top Pyramid that had asked one be on standby and that they could be called at any moment, and everything below is blanked; the Pyramid had been blocked.
Nobody could post anything nor write anything. I checked the other sources and found similar things happening that even general feed got to know about it and everybody began speculating.
Ting!
I was searching for the information when my holowatch rang with mail. It is from the Grand Commanders' office, stating that the Grimm Monsters have made the big move, and I should be on standby for the mission.
Reading that, my expressions couldn't help but become serious. Something very serious has happened for them to use those words.
Reading the mail, I did not remain in the office of lord Parks and walked out. As I was getting out of the tower, I noticed people having serious faces, discussing things in whispered voices.
As expected, it took only a few minutes for the news to spread like wildfire, and now everyone knows something has happened.
The news won't be hidden for long; the Pyramid will release the news in a few hours.
"Micheal, you have returned," My father said as I came back, he was waiting in the living room with a little anxious look on his friend while my sister was playing with her two friends, along with Nero and Ashlyn.
"Do you know what has happened?" He asked, and I could see the nanny also turned to listen to the conversation with the worried look on her face.
"I did not know anything yet but will tell you if anything is come up," I said and walked to my room.
I searched around the feed for a few more minutes and saw I would not find any concrete information on it. I closed all the windows and laid on the bed before closing my eyes, and the next second I was in my core.
I began working on my Inheritance; at first, it was quite hard to concentrate, but slowly, I built my concentration until I lost in work.
Ting!
Soon eight hours passed by, and I was working when my holowatched buzzed with the message of Pyramid. Except for the official mail, I had muted all the others so as not to get disturbed during the work.
The mail was confidential and for my eyes only, and when I began to read it, I couldn't help but get shocked.
"It is too early," They were the first words that came out of my mouth when I read the long mail.
In simple words, the Grimms have upped their offensive to a huge degree. From having less than fifteen Grandmasters on the field, they have now brought out more than fifty of them, and even three members of the coven had taken the field.
We were prepared for something like it, and our Grandmasters are responding to their assault, but we are still under the pressure as we only brought out around forty Grandmasters, less than Grimms but still a sufficient number to hold back the bastards.
Such large numbers of Grimms signify the big change war.. From now on, the war will intensify, more intense than what it had been before.
