Chapter 2114: Aldiu

Chapter 2114: Aldiu

“This mission would not be easy,” Marla said softly, and I couldn’t help but nod to that. Even though there will be no Grandmaster due to the restriction of the ruin, it will be dangerous since it had the blessing of the Coven, and it would have provided them ample forces as protection.

What the Black Teeth Hyenamen doing is a grey area even of Grimm Monsters, and so Coven is being careful not to let too many people know about their little experiment.

The chances of vidette being there are minute due to them being a high-profile resource of war, but they could be there. Even if they are not, there are plenty of powerhouses in Grimm Monsters who are equal to us, and they have the advantage of numbers.

“Does the Grimm Monsters know we know about their little ritual?” I asked, “I do not think so, and we have used a very powerful artifact to send our spy into the ruin, and from the information we have gotten from her, they have not discovered us,” Lord Whitman replied.

“Though your entry will be noticed, the artifact we used to send her occupied, and you will be sent there the usual way,” He said, which is to be expected; we are not the only people going for the ruins for the missions.

Grimm Monsters control thousands of ruins, used for various purposes as training their secret forces to perform the secrete experiment, and some are just precious resources sites which they will fight hard to protect.

We have already started attacking the ruin; Elina had gone for one such mission just three days ago.

“Now that you have been informed about the mission, its time for you to leave.” He said and walked toward the formation with us following behind him.

“From the information our spy was able to get, the ritual will start in about two and half hours, but it might start the moment they discovered your breach into ruin, so you all have to be quick in finishing your mission,” He added and selected the place.

Next second we have disappeared from our spot and appeared in the grand hall, in which a teleportation gate standing in the middle of it with an unraked tyrant technician around it. As we appeared, they started to fiddle with the teleportation gate after bowing to lord Whitman.

“Micheal, here are the things you will need for the mission; there are different sorts of formation inks and comprehender, there is also little something that will help you with weakness,” Lord Whitman said as he threw me the storage.

“Thank you, Lord Whitman,” I said happily.

I had thought I would have to use my own precious inks for this mission, but it seemed like Pyramid is quite generous; they have not only given the formation inks but also gave me the other good stuff.

A second after giving me storage, one more thing appeared in his hands. It is three identical cufflinks. “These will help you sense each other’s direction once you enter inside, one of the cufflinks already in possession of our spy, she will reach to you through their links,” He said and handed us the things.

Each one of us took the cufflinks and bound them to our hands before supplying them with our energy; as we did that, a link was formed, and I could sense the presence of two of them through the cufflink.

“Lord Whitman, the teleportation gate is ready,” The technicians informed, and we walked toward the teleportation gates.

“Wear these,” I said and brought out three pink crystalline rings and gave two of them to my teammates. Marla took the ring but arched her brow in question, “These rings will transport us closer to each other,” I informed, hearing that a look of surprise flashed her and lord Whitman’s face, and my mysterious teammate had finally worn the rings.

“Best of luck to you all,” Lord Whitman said as we walked into the teleportation gate.

The first to walk into the gate was about a mysterious teammate, Marla, and me at last. As I entered the gate, I was transported into the tunnel; I did not move or even take a breath, doing as little as to disturb the teleportation.

A couple of seconds passed by, and finally, the tunnel ended, and I breached into the ruin. “Well, its quite average,” I said to my two teammates, who were looking at me with shock.

“How did we end up in the same place?” Marla asked in wonder; her eyes had become big as saucers as she asked me. “The formation in the ring is quite nifty,” I replied without explaining much; I could tell she wanted to ask more, but she did not.

“We should leave as soon as possible; the Grimm Monsters’ senses must have already picked our location,” Our mysterious teammates had finally said, and his voice was surprisingly normal. Not a raspy voice or anything mysterious as I was expecting.

We nodded, and armor appeared on three of our bodies; we had not used it before entering the formation as we usually. Armor attracts attention; they give sensors a strong single of our location.

Hun!

As I looked at the mysterium teammates’ armor, I couldn’t help but become surprised. Unlike regular Inheritance or bloodline armor that appear over any clothes, artifact one is wearing. The Inheritance armor of our teammate merged with the light armor and mask he was wearing before expanding.

“Inheritance Gear!” Marla said out loud. Yes, Inheritance Gear, a set of artifacts that could be merged with the artifact, is extremly rare that there had no case of them in our world, and we have only read about them from the records we have found in ruins.

The Inheritance gear is not for the show; it increases the power of one tremendously; it is much better than totem artifact as its level is much higher, but these people could wear it became it part of Inheritance.

I couldn’t help but become jealous of the Inheritance Gear, and I am not the only one who is feeling that emotion.
