Chapter 2091: Movement
Chapter 2091: Movement
Ting!
I was in my core when my holowatch buzzed with mail; the tone of the ringtone is a little distinctive from my regular mail tone.
I opened my eyes immediately and looked at the mail, and as I had expected, it was from the office of Grand Commander and very strong three-way inscriptions. It took me more than a minute to open the inscription, and when I did, I found there was a file in the mail with two things; one was a clip while the second was a document.
I tapped on the clip, which is shown to be three minutes long. The clip opened with a battle scene where hundreds of thousands of humans fighting with three times more of their numbers.
The battle is average, with an unraked tyrant leading it; there is nothing special about it till a sudden change thirty seconds later.
After that, a shocking thing happened that blew the mind of both humans and Grimm Monsters; even Tyrant, who used that thing, was shocked out of his mind seeing what was happening.
A few seconds later, he got his shock under control and laughed in ecstasy while Grimm Monsters scremed in horror till their horrific cries had also disappeared, even leading Grimm Monster, a Tyrant level powerhouse, was not able to survive the attack.
It is an experimental use of the weapons I had designed, and it worked better than I had imagined. I rewatched the clip several times to understand all the details before I opened the document, where the complete assessment of the experiment was written.
It took me a couple of minutes to finish it, but when I did, the smile on my face became even brighter. My weapon had worked, and within a week, Grand Commander planned on using it on the grand scales, using nearly every rose I have given her.
It couldn’t help but make me excited, I have created the roses for that thing, and if it could do what it did on a large scale, it would become an invaluable weapon in the war.
After a few minutes, I closed the file and contacted my mentees about their progress. Neela is still in the infirmary, healing the patients, while Danielle and Leonard are going back to the arena to fight, and after that, they will use the solution I have provided them.
I divided my soul power into two, one will enter my core and work on my Inheritance, and the other would-be me going to the command center.
Earlier it was quite hard to do something like that, but with the art, my soul power has become concentrated enough that I could think. Earlier, when I practiced getting my strength under control, I used 30% of my soul power to work on my Inheritance; it is, in a way, an exercise.
It is quite hard frustrating to do something like it, especially when there is a time difference in my core, but I am learning, and till I become adept in it, I will have to bear this uncomfortable, frustrating feeling.
With little discomfort, I walked out of my quarters toward the command center. It took me barely a minute to reach there and found General standing in the same position by a glass wall I had seen him when I saw him yesterday.
“General,” I greeted as I approached the old man. “Dexter, you seemed to be in a good mood; you seemed to have worked on your weakness?” General asked. “Yes, it is mostly in control,” I replied while following his gaze, which is looking at people training below to fight in the formations.
“The Grimm’s forces are advancing rapidly; just yesterday, they have grievously injured my good friend Stanton in battle,” said the General with a sigh before he turned to me.
“You have some experiencing in scouting, right?” General asked. “Yes, I had done a few missions of that,” I replied. I had created my resume for this identity and added some of the things that I could do.
“I have a mission for you,” General said, “Our scouts and sensors have sensed some disturbance in the far north of the ardon, I want you to investigate it,” He said and opened the map of the place he wanted me to investigate.
“You have to be quick, return in less than half a day or less. The condition here is quite serious, and we need you, not to mention, the disturbance might be a trap; the Grimm bastards are quite wily in that way,” He added.
“Should I only investigates or engage?” I asked. “Engage only if you have full confidence that you could deal with a problem without alerting a Grandmaster,” He said, “There is more than one Grandmaster from Grimm Monsters in this area,” General said grimly.
“I understand,” I said and began to study the details of missions he had just provided me; it only took me a few minutes to read the whole documents.
“Go, I will be cloaking your presence from the Grimm bastards presence till you left our range,” General said.
I nodded and walked into the teleportation formation and tapped the coordinates that General had provided me. A second later, I appeared in a small room with a teleportation formation and had a brown wooden door to it.
Click!
I opened the door, and in front of me, what seemed like a tunnel, heavily covered in the formations. These are cloaking formations, seeing their power, soul sense of most Grandmasters would not be able to breach it.
I flew into the tunnel, crossing kilometers by the seconds that a minute later, I reached the end of its tunnel where there is dense formation. I walked into formation and found a dense aura covering me as I walked out of formation.
This is a special cloaking aura; it will protect me from the senses of Grandmaster for a few minutes. It is a must for keeping secrete of the tunnel a secret; otherwise, the Grimm Grandmaster would not take a long to know its existence.
