Chapter 1914 - Returning To The Garden II
"You have not brought me here to this unassuming tunnel to kill me, right? Let me tell you, successor, the bones of this old woman still have some strength to defend?" Said councilwomen marla as we entered the tunnel.
"Councilwomen, please don't joke. With your strength, you could crush me like an insect," I said exasperatedly, "Its better you remember that, lest you have those thoughts in the future," she said while staring at me intently.
I opened my mouth to say something but decided not to utter the word lest she bends them too.
"Where are we going anyway, is some dangerous place? I am a little rusty, hadn't seen much action in the past decade," She asked. "There is no danger where we are going; just don't be greedy about the things," I warned, she wanted to say something, but she saw the faint light ahead and appeared beside it before I could even blink.
When I reached her, I saw her staring at The Garden with wide eyes, and she had a weird reaction as her whole body was shaking.
"Mystique Garden, it is fuċkɨnġ mystique garden," She said suddenly and stepped inside it; she is not only, she Ashlyn came out of me and flew out.
"You seemed to know what it is?" I asked. I have read a lot of secrete intelligence with my current access, but I never had about 'Mystic Garden she had just shouted out loud.
"The question is, successor, why did not you inform the academy about this mind-blowing treasure? This could affect the future of our academy, even of the world," She asked as she looked at me scarily.
"I did not think it was that important, only when I saw Astral Garden, I realize its value," I said defensively while lying through the teeth; the real answer is I wanted to keep to myself teel I became strong enough that nobody would be able to snatch it from me.
"The question is why didn't I had not to know about it? As successor, I should be informed of these things," I asked back. "This is a high-level secrete that only councilmembers and head of academy have right to know," She said and stepped inside.
"You could choose the trees of one row," I informed her of the rules, "I know the rules successor, the Mystique garden had been around for thousands of years, and only those blessed with a great fortune were able to find it, Her Excellencies Roosevelt and Hawthorn were one of the people who had found it," She said as she stepped into the trees.
The trees, in the beginning, are too low level for her to touch still; she admired each of them carefully, like they were some sort of wonder.
The trees of kiwis and other fruits have also evoked floods of memories from me; I remembered how much effort I had to put in to reach each tree; I had to train for hours to days before I could gain enough strength to reach there.
Currently, the energy and gravity here have not affected me even a bit; still, it is getting stronger, and when I reach further, it will affect me.
"We should have told you about the Mystic Garden. If we had, the academy would have been able to benefit from it more greatly than it would not," Councilwomen Marla said, "I hope then I will get to read some confidential information that is restricted to your level," I said, finishing for opportunities.
Information is power, and it is right. The more information I have, the clarity it will give me about things, "I will make the proposal when the council conveys next time," she said, greatly surprising me as I thought she would just give me a look.
Suddenly she whipped her head as if she noticed something, "Micheal, stop that bird of yours? She is eating those Carbas Fruits as she is candies. Do you know how precious they are to the newly leveled up Tyrants?" She asked suddenly.
"She did not listen to me when it comes to eating things," I said while helplessly shaking my head. It would be no lie; if I asked Ashlyn to stop, she would not stop.
"What? What kind of master are you? You can not even control your pet monster?" she asked back in shock, "Unfortunately, no," I said back with the same regret.
A shock and anger appeared in her eyes, and she took a step in her direction but suddenly stopped as she remembered something and cursed under her breath; she likely remembers the rule of row. You can only the fruits on your row and not others; you can not even move there.
"At least tell her about the dangerousness of those fruits; if she continued eating them as she is doing now, she would explode," Councilwomen advised.
"There is nothing to worry about; even if she ate the whole garden, nothing would happen to her," I said, shocking the old women even more.
"Josephine had told me about you, this little bird of yours being strange, but I had thought she was just making a joke," Councilwomen muttered, and I shook my head. Ashlyn is strange, and I have known this fact since the moment she burst out of her eggshell.
The fruits of this level have become exceedingly rare than each of them is useful to me; my runes begin to tingle as I reach closer to them.
