Chapter 1908 - Trade II
Chapter 1908 - Trade II
"I want Beisd Flowers; what do you want in exchange?" I asked a bald Tyrant named roger smith. In front of him, hundreds of plants are placed in transparent boxes. Like others, he had set up a stall to exchange and sell the resources he had got from the tower.
"A water elemental plant that could help me with my constitution," He replied, before looking at me with shining hopeful eyes, "If you are willing to provide me plant that could take me to the elite stage, I will give you all these plants and few others resources in exchange," He gave a second offer.
I had heard these offers tens of times since I had come to the fair four hours ago, and despite rejecting them every time, they keep asking.
It is not just unranked elites or those who are step away from becoming the elite but also from elites; even Martha asked me for it, and I gave the same answer that I gave to every person who asked me.
"Like I had told everyone, I have only three of them. If I dare to sell them, the headmistress of my academy will have my hide," I said before taking out three transparent boxes.
"You can choose any one of these plants in exchange for it; there would be no negotiations," He wanted to say something but did not see the look on my face and focused on the three plants I was offering.
"I will take the deeplake root," He said after a minute of looking around at the plants. "Nice doing business with you, Roger," I said as we exchanged the herb.
After the exchange, I went to the other stall, following the direction my runes were giving me. I am only buying the resources that my runes are desiring, and I am not buying all of them; I have a complete list of things I need, and even though my runes are desiring them, I have plenty of them in storage or that type, then I would not buy it.
I am still buying 85% of things my runes are desiring, and 90% of negotiations turn successful as I have lots of stuff.
Another hour had passed, and I finished most of the things my runes were desiring. Though, there are some things that my runes are sensing, they appear and disappeared as people trade them, and fluctuation is also low, so it does not matter whether I should buy them or not.
I am not dome buying, but now I am going to use a different strategy. I am going to set up my own shop, but unlike the other shop, I will be making the deal in private while showing my wares out to attract customers.
I took out an abode and transformed into the shop I wanted before taking out five hundred plants. All of the rare and precious and are all types to attract all types of customers. Though, there is not a thing that is super precious plants, such as those who could help one cross the boundary of unraked into the elite.
It did not take long for my first customer to walk inside; it was someone I knew. "Williams, how can I help you?" I asked the raven-haired woman.
"There are some things you are showing interest me; what do you want in return?" she asked as she showed the list of things she wanted from my collection.
"I do know what I want to be honest," I replied with an apologizing smile, "If you show me what you have and if some things interest me, then we can have a deal," I said, and she gave me a look, "I would not divulge anything about your collection to anyone," I added after second.
She nodded, and a moment later, hundreds of things flew out of storage, and it turned out she had some things that I needed. After few minutes of negotiations, Williams left with a pleased smile, and I waited for the next customer, who did not take long to come.
Time passed as one customer, and after another came to my shop, I also left my shop, now and then and when I felt sharp fluctuation of dėsɨrė from my runes.
The deals went well, but not all people came to my shop left with the happy smile, some of them left with a huff of anger. Some people did not take well of my business methods and left without showing a single thing from their storage.
Soon, it was time to close the fair. I did not immediately go back to my quarters; instead, I went to old man Ed's quarters with a few friends and acquaintances for the dinner party he was throwing on the occasion of him finally accomplishing his dream of becoming the elite.
The old man is quite a good host; from entertaining guests to serving the dinner, he did it at his best, without letting anyone feel alone or neglected.
I had a good time and was slightly tipsy drinking that powerful liquor the old man had brought out of somewhere. It was quite late, and I slept directly without doing a minute of training.
Eight days passed since we came out of the tower, and I had not received any response from the teacher. Even though I spent most of my time reading the books I got from the tower and working on my Inheritance since the commander had not let any Tyrant out, I still want to be back in the academy.
Ting!
It was the ninth day, and I was reading an interesting tome from the tower masters collection when my holowatch buzzed with mail, and when I opened it, I saw it summon from the commander; she was calling me to her office.
