Chapter 1253 - Returning To The Academy
Chapter 1253 - Returning To The Academy
Three weeks passed by, and today, I am returning to the Academy; this will be the last time I am in fort Ardon in the immediate future.
I am not coming back to Fort Ardon; it had served the purpose of me introducing to the Grimm Battlefield of the Central Continent. The next battlefield I will choose will be something dangerouns where I will get to really strong Grimm Monsters.
I have not chosen which Grimm Battlefield I will go to; I planned to think about it in a month or so I will spend in the Academy.
"Its sad you would not come back; the hospital will not be the same without you," Nina said as we all stood on the roof of the healer's quarters. "You all do fine without me; there are many talented healers present in the hospital," I said as I turned to Charlotte, who is beside Nina.
Charlotte had made huge progress; in just a few short months, she had transformed from a fumbling clumsy girl to an expert healer who had very few who could match her in healing arts.
I looked at my teammates or former teammates and gave them a last hug, "Take care and don't take too many risks on the battlefield." I said. Death is a friend of the hunter division; they never know when it will come for them.
"Don't worry, with our personal healer gone; we will not take any needless risks," Jimmy said jokingly that brought a smile to all our faces.
Waving at them one more time, I walked into the black airship in front of me, and a few seconds later, the airship flew up from the roof of the healer's quarters.
Sitting on the chair, I looked at the route I had selected. Through this route, it will take me eight days to reach the Academy. The route is direct; I am not planning to stop in between.
I would have loved to meet my parents on the way, but they are not present in the Mistson; both of them had gone to a Ruin and will not be returning soon; they even took my little sister to ruin; which I had thought was an extremely dangerous decision, but mother said that ruin is not dangerous.
It is a Lord Stage ruin, Ive confirmed it with the professor; my parents have gone there because it has something my father needs. Mother did not tell me what is it that my father needs, saying she would tell me when I meet them in person.
The airship passed through the hole opened in the protective shield of Fort Ardon, and just as it did, its speed increased, and it streaked through the sky.
I watched the airship pass through the cloud for a while before opening the Tome and entering inside it.
In these past twenty days, Ive made quite a progress. I had created the third Ruby Seal, which gave me a huge boost, and also with constant refining, my body had also become stronger.
Not to forget the breakthrough I had made yesterday, I am now at the Mid Level of Duke Stage. It was earlier than I had thought; the daily working on my Inheritance has helped a lot.
Not everything went smoothly; a week ago, I had learned the 10th recipe and received the test, and unless I could pass the test, I would not be able to learn the 11th recipe.
The test is simple; I have to modify one of the ten recipes I had learned and cooked them with 75% marks. It may sound simple, but it is extremely difficult.
I was able to cook these recipes due to having clear cut directions; ive not made even the slightest change in them as making even a small change is changing the whole dynamics of the recipe.
The test wants me to modify the recipe, which will be very difficult, especially when he decided not to give me any guidance or help.
I know that test is important, and for it, I am trying my all, practicing hours daily but not making even the slightest progress. Which started me thinking my blindly practicing may be wrong, and I should find a different method.
Currently, I don't know what I should do, but I am sure I will find a way soon; till then, I am practicing all the ten recipes over and over to get even more proficient in them than I am already is.
An hour later, I came out of the Tome and walked toward the cabin to sleep. It is in the night I am leaving, and now is my time to sleep.
The next day, I woke up at my usual time and did what I do in my quarters on a free day. Nearly everything went the same, except for the tub. The airship cabin is too small for me, brough out the wooden block that I usually use for my refinement.
So, I had to use the normal tub, which had diminished the refinement effect a little, but I could accept that. When I reach the Academy, I will find a master carpenter and commission a tub, which to be crafted from the wood of Crown Tree.
I would have done it in Fort Ardon, but I found no master carpenter there, though I had not expected to find one; still, I got pretty disappointed when I did not.
Days passed by, and I traveled without a hitch; no Grimm Monster have attacked me on the way, for which I am very grateful.
"I came back," I said as I looked in front of me, eight days had passed, and I finally reached Academy. As the airship entered its airspace, it slowed down, and I asked permission to enter, which I got immediately.
With me getting permission, as the airship reached near the invisible forcefield surrounding the Academy, a hole opened in it, and an airship entered inside into the Campus of the Academy.
