3414 Egg
“Congratulation, Runel,” I said to the man as he opened his eyes. “Thank you, healer Brock,” he said.
I talked to him for a few minutes like I talked to every person before making a breakthrough.
He is the last person to make a breakthrough and like all before him. It was a success.
“Are you ready now?” asked the masked woman as she appeared beside me.
“Yes,” I said, and before I could say anything further. She put her hand on my shoulder, and I felt myself move at an extremely fast speed.
We moved at a speed I couldn’t even see before suddenly stopping. It took me a few seconds to get control over myself before looking around.
I am in a stone hall, and in front of me are huge metallic door.
It is unguarded, but I could feel the faint soul sense of several Earth Sovereigns around it.
And also of the Sky Sovereign.
“Everything you see there will need to be confidential,” said the masked woman, but I didn’t reply and kept looking at her.
She looked at me for a couple of seconds before walking toward the door and pushed it open. There is an energy later, covering the door. One couldn’t see what was happening inside.
“Follow me,”
I followed after her and entered the other side into a hug around the hall. There, I saw the patient.
In the center of the huge hall, I saw a woman with black cat ears laying on the med-bed in the center of the formation. She looked to be in her mid-twenties and have a beautiful face.
Around her, there is a giant formation on which the resources are slowly getting absorbed by the unconscious woman.
“Twenty-six years ago, mistress returned from the ruin. She was fine for a few days before she started to feel weak and within hours fell unconscious,”
“Since then, whatever is inside her is consuming the resources. If we didn’t provide them to her, it will begin to suck on her vital energy and the soul,” she informed.
“Were you able to find out what is wrong with her?” I asked, to which she gave me the look.
I kept looking at her.
“We have called many healers, including the Grade 6. The most they were able to guess was that mistress had been nestled by the invisible parasite,”
“We have tried different methods to recognize it and even kill it, but nothing worked.”
“One of the methods we had tried nearly killed the mistress,” she informed, looking at pointedly. Cautioning me that I shouldn’t subscribe to something I am not sure of.
“I liked to see her current meta-scan and all the past scans, including those before she fell sick,” I said to her.
“They are here,” she said and pointed at the green block of stone.
I nodded and walked toward it and tapped on it and soon, the current meta-scan appeared, and it is extremely detailed. The med-bed they are using are of high quality.
Another thing that surprised me is the level of the woman. She is a Peak-Earth Sovereign.
More powerful than the woman standing beside me.
I looked at it carefully, before starting to pull out an older meta-scan and looked at each one of them before changing. I am studying them, as well as copying them for my clones.
The more I studied her, the more interested I would become.
It is really an interesting case and as the woman said, there is another life in here. Though it is a parasite or something else, I don’t know.
It took me four hours and forty-two minutes to look at the meta-scan and other tests. Including what other healers have done and what reaction it had got.
“Can I perform a few tests?” I asked the woman. “You have to do everything with tools in this room, and ask me before every test,” she said.
“Ok,” I said and begin.
This place didn’t only have a powerful med-bed, but also other medical artifacts of the same grade. I wanted to steal them, but that would be idiocy.
Three hours later, I finished and closed my eyes for a few minutes before opening them.
“I have to say; I had not expected it,” I said and immediately the woman appeared around me and found a faint soul sensed before powerful, so much that I shook.
“Do you know what happened to the mistress? Are you guessing it, or do you know for sure?” asked the masked woman. She looked agitated.
“Do her parents want to listen personally or prefer through soul sense?” I asked instead. Immediately, the stifling soul senses disappeared, and a moment later, two people appeared beside me.
“Governor, first lady,” I greeted two people.
The woman sleeping is the daughter of the Governor.
I didn’t know she was sick, but such things are kept under wraps and even people know it. They wouldn’t discuss it with anyone, seeing it involve a daughter of Sky Sovereign.
The Governor is Panther Beastman, with a big body, while his wife is human, with smooth raven hair.
Her daughter looked like a carbon copy of her; the only thing she had inherited from her father were his ears and eyes.
“Are you telling the truth? Do you know what happened to my daughter?” asked the woman, gripping me by my shoulder hard.
The woman is Peak Earth Sovereign, and she is gripping so hard. That, if she applied a little more strength, she would begin to crack my bones.

“My apologies, Healer Brock,” she apologized.
“It is fine,” I said.
“What happened to my daughter, Healer Brock?” asked the Governor. While the voice was soft, there was a great weight behind it.
“You would understand it better if I showed you,” I said and turned to the green block and begin to tap on the key.
A slow change begins to appear on the meta-scan before the final picture revealed itself.
“My god!” said the woman and gripped the hand of her husband. Even the governor shook seeing it.
It is really something.
I am showing them what is inside their daughter, and it is not a parasite, but an insect.
There is a tiny egg in the center of her veins, and it had connected itself to her body and soul.
They could clearly understand what it means with the knowledge they have.
“The egg belongs to Yrahkis Menar; also known as sun wing butterfly. It is an insect monster, but not a common monster, but a cosmic monster,” I said, and horror appeared on their faces.
“Cosmic,” muttered Governor, with terror in his eyes.
If I had been in his place, I would have been feeling the same.
The cosmic level is beyond Sovereign, it is something that only Prime would dare to interact with.
Cosmic monsters are extremely dangerous, and far more powerful than a normal monster of the same level.
Even the same level of powerhouses would die under their jaws. People would prefer to run instead of fighting them if they ever had the misfortune of coming across them.
