3323 Out
The monster came right behind us, and I could feel its eyes on us. If it wants to kill us, all it had to do was ram that red horn into us.
I felt like it might just do that. It is not going to waste any of its time.
It didn’t.
It appeared beside me and looked at me, before speeding away and disappearing from my view.
As I saw that a relief couldn’t help, but flood in my heart.
The encounter was too close, I had felt its might and know how easy it would have been for it to kill me, but it didn’t. Instead, it was more focused on running away from the storm.
Which reminded me, the biggest dangers had yet abated; might even swallow us whole.
As of this time, even the pools wouldn’t be able to help me.
“Ten minutes,” said Ragas and I want to curse loudly. It had been around ten minutes since we were running, and we still haven’t found anything that could save us.
Including the brown pool in which I might have to try my luck again, despite not believing it might be able to save me.
It will be better than nothing.
A few more minutes passed and there was nothing other than the endless tunnels in front of me. A dread couldn’t help but creep into my heart, seeing it.
I thought, after experiencing the harrowing storm; I will not have to face it again, but my luck is not that good. In just a few hours, another storm came, wanting to wipe me out of the face of this world.
“Fifteen minutes,” Ragas informed.
This time, I didn’t let the emotions come ahead of me and focused on the running. It is the only thing, that could save me.
Hun!
Two more minutes passed when begin to sense something. My clones studied it immediately, informed me, making my eyes go wide.
“What is it?” he asked, seeing the change in my expression. “The exit is near,” I replied. A surprise appeared on his face before the smile lit up.
The change in temperature, pressure, and energy density occurs when two environments are met. Monsters used these kinds of things to determine the directions.
Knowing the exit was near, I pushed myself harder, near the edge of what I could harness.
It is risky to do that, but to save my life, I will do it.
A little more than a minute had passed when I finally saw the exit. The beautiful, dangerous night sky bathing in soothing moonlight, with the colorful mist shining in its light.
It is beautiful as it is dangerous.
I could feel the energy of the outside and it is dense. The changes had already begun on my armor, to better survive against this dense energy, which I am going to enter in a couple of seconds.
A few seconds passed, and we reached the edge of the cave and jumped from it, without care for anything.
“Finally, out!” Ragas shouted before suddenly becoming quiet realizing, getting out doesn’t mean we are safe.
I, on the other hand, looked at my armor, before starting to make changes in it. The energy is very dense, and it wants to drill inside me. Thankfully, I could defend against it, but not for long.
The energy will get denser by the minute and seeing the speed it is increasing, I have twenty to twenty-five minutes at most to find shelter.
Thank God, I had made a breakthrough. At Mid-Primary-III, I wouldn’t have been able to survive this energy.
“We have to find shelter quickly,” I said, and he nodded and both of us moved our soul senses as we moved away from the wall. The further we are from the wall, the better it would be for us.
It will keep us away from the Grimms and other enemies.
I am sure those two Grimms wouldn’t be the only ones who would want to come to the other side. There might be more and see how long this ruin had been opened and many of them might have come to this side.
We have to be careful of them; we will be good as dead. If we got discovered.
Hun!
Suddenly, I had stopped, and he stopped with me. The mist covered us thickly.
A few seconds later, the monster appeared in front of us; there is barely n meters of distance between us, but it didn’t discover us.
Though, if it had been an Earth Sovereign monster, instead of the Peak Sovereign. We would have been in his mouth right now.
We needed to wait for a little more than a minute before we resumed our journey again.
“It is good enough,” said Ragas as we entered the hidden cave on the hill before taking out his abode.
I also took out mine and entered inside.
The first thing I did was walk into the shower, where I came out ten minutes later and ate the dinner my clone had cooked before laying on the bed.
It would be an understatement to say I am tired. I fell asleep the moment my head touched the pillow.
I woke up eight hours later and the first thing I checked was outside and it was still a night. Seeing it is still a night; I slumped back on the pillow.
I am feeling better, but still tired, and it wouldn’t be going away till I heal fully. Which will be my priority.
A few minutes later, I got up and freshened up, before walking into the kitchen and cooking a simple breakfast while I talked to Nero, who is in the tunnels now.
He had told me the Earth Sovereign Grimms were still waiting outside. Which made me relieved, but also felt bad for the natives; I don’t think any one of them would survive unless they have an artifact to break the collar.
Even then, it would be a challenge. Surviving in the tunnel is difficult.
Still, I pray, they survive.
Soon, I finished dinner and walked into the practice room, before sitting cross-legged in the center and closing my eyes.
With injuries, I couldn’t practice any methods or go through the treatments, but even then, I have things to do.
I entered my core and went into the library, where three of my clones were still working on my healing, with a meta-scan floating in front of me, where there was no change after the dose of strengthening energy.
My healing is powerful and trying every minute to mend the damage, but it couldn’t make progress.
It won’t be able to heal anything, even if I give it a year.
To heal these injuries, the healing to be strong. Earth Sovereign level strong and even on that level, it needs to be at best.
If it is not the case, then I could have healed my injuries with the Earth Sovereign-grade healing resources I had collected.
