Puch!
My sword pierced through the Grimm, and a moment later, it had disappeared, while I resumed the journey with an unknown man.
He didn’t comment on my killing of Grimms and nor did I explain or be willing to stop.
Killing Grimms is important to me and to hide the fact, I am only killing the Grimm with a bloodline. I am also killing the ones with inherence; this one had the inheritance.
The one I had killed a few minutes before had the bloodline.
“You have quite good sensory abilities,” he said, speaking after nearly an hour. “Thank you,” I said and looked at him; the way he said it, I know he wants to say something more.
“I am planning to head into the mist Valley. It has something I need and someone of your sensory capabilities will be helpful,” he asked, and immediately shook my head.
“Not interested,” I replied directly.
“I will give you all the water,” he said. “It is not worth it. The danger is too much,” I replied and instead of getting disappointed, a smile appeared on his face; a smile I am not liking too much.
“What about the exit out of this place?” he asked, and I froze. “Do you know the exit?” I asked back.
“I know hundreds. If you help me, find an exit, I will give you the location of all of them,” he replied.
I wanted to laugh hearing his words. How can he know hundreds of exits, but I controlled myself.
“How can you know hundreds of exits?” I asked after a moment of silence. “I have my ways,” he replied without elaborating further.
“What do you want from mist valley?” I asked.
“Something important for me, but useless for you. Though, on the way, we will find a few things that will be tremendously useful to you,” he said, and a frown appeared on my face.
“Mist Valley should be easy to navigate to you, seeing it is thickly filled with mist?” I asked, and he smiled.
“Mist is not the only thing enveloping the valley,” he replied, and I arched my brown in question, but he didn’t reply.
I did not say anything for a few minutes, and just thought, before finally turning to him.
“I will come with you. If I didn’t find about exit from anyone,” I said finally. “Fine, but I am not going to wait for you; once we reach the mist valley, I am going to enter inside directly,” he replied.
“Ok,” I said.
I have no intention of going into the mist valley, but there didn’t seem to be any choice. Even if I come to know about the exit from the natives.
As that exit would be public and the other side would be the organization. I don’t want to fall into its hands again, even when they promised to release me.
Still, I didn’t completely make up my mind; I have two more days to think about it.
“The sky had darkened,” I spoke. The sunlight had nearly disappeared, and it is time to find shelter.
“We will meet here at this spot predawn, then?” he said, and I nodded.
I watched him disappear before moving toward the spot Nero found for me.
A few minutes later, I reached it, and it is hidden as always. Though this time, the space is not much.
I set up an abode and went inside and started on my daily rituals.
The night had nearly passed when I opened my eyes from the meditation. It feels good to meditate again; I could already see those amazing benefits.
I took a deep breath and walked out of my abode.
Soon, I was in dangerous energy, moving toward the spot we decided to meet. Nero had already gone there, and he had not arrived. So, I didn’t hurry; I walk slowly in the forest, enjoying the serenity of predawn.
Though, this serenity would get disturbed now and then by the monsters roars.
I reached the spot and sat on the rock, waiting; I had to wait for a little over ten minutes before arriving.
“When did you arrive?” he asked. “A few minutes ago,” I said and got up.
A few seconds later, we resumed our journey, and we are moving fast, much faster than I was moving before. With Nero guiding and him hiding us from the monster and Grimms, I had little to worry about, other than Earth Sovereign.
Which is the only thing that could find us.
“Since we are traveling together, we should at least tell each other our names; I want to refer to you as a thing in my head,” I said, and he laughed.
He is likely using a fake name, like me. There is no need to introduce each other by our real names when we are going together for only a few days.
Hours passed as we traveled fast; the only time we took a break was when I killed the Grimms. They were done a few seconds and most took a few minutes; he didn’t seem to have a problem with these breaks.
This is good because I am rapidly growing the resources into my core and don’t want to stop.
I don’t know when I would come across a ruin like this, and I want to get as much as benefits as possible. I wanted to collect so many resources that I didn’t have to look for them even after reaching the Sovereign stage.
Though it wouldn’t be possible when I reach Sovereign, I would need resources of a level that I have very few.
Still, having more resources wouldn’t hurt, not to mention. These resources wouldn’t go to waste, even when I reach Sovereign.
Soon it is night again, and we slept in separate spots, before moving again in the morning.
We crossed the distance rapidly and by the time we stepped at night, the mist valley was only a few hours away.
