3034 Honey I
For sixteen months, I have been feeding these bees the nectar; I have fed 90% of the divine nectar I had harvested from the tree.
It is not just divine nectar I had fed them, but also the nectar of the other flowers and even life source from the necrotic tree, which I had not thought these bees would like, but they did.
Now it is time to cash in my investment; I hope the investment turns out to be as I am expecting it; if it is just honey of yellow graze bees, then I will literally cry.
The honey of these bees is extremely good, I have harvested it before, but this batch will be different because of the resources I used to craft it.
There are many beehives in the area I have explored, more than ten of them, of which I have harvested honey from seven, and of these seven, the honey of these bees is the best.
I even created a badge of mead from it when I was feeling stumped, and it is really delicious that Ashlyn and Nero cleaned one bottle each in record time, and I had to lock the rest, fearing they might drink it when I was not looking.
The string moved carefully as it reached the honeycomb; the queen bee was guarding and was very powerful, just a step away from Primary-II class.
Hun!
I had just thought when suddenly my string had stopped, and shock appeared on my face.
My string had reached close enough to the honeycomb that I could sense the aura of bees inside the honeycomb, especially of the queen bee, and since the last time I had checked, it had grown considerably more powerful.
Sixteen months ago, it had been a step away from Primary II class, and now, it is a hairbreadth away from it.
It had made tremendous improvement, and I felt like the resources I had provided had helped it a lot.
While the resources I had provided were not the most powerful from their ruins standard, their grade was.
Each one of them helped in the breakthrough; I just hoped it hadn’t consumed all the honey it had made from my resources.
It had become riskier, with the queen bee becoming even more powerful, but I had invested too much to back down. I would have backed down if it had reached Primary II, but it did not.
So, I will try to get what I deserve.
My string had touched the honeycomb before slowly entering it very carefully. The honeycomb is huge, but the sense of a queen bee always envelops it; it will notice the slightest change.
I have studied the soul sense of these bees and made changes that will make discovering my strings harder.
Getting discovered is not the only challenge I have; the biggest would be taking the honey from the honeycomb. It is far more difficult than the last time, as this time, the queen and other bees are even more powerful.
The string had entered inside, and slowly, its soul sense, heavy with rule-bending power, spread across the honeycomb, and when I saw it was not discovered, a smile couldn’t help but fill my face.
Soon, my expression turned calm, and I, once again, saw the amazing process of honeymaking.
It is a three-part process; first, worker bees collect the nectar, which they then would give to house bees, which would take inside them and mix it with enzymes that are special to their species.
Then they would add it to the hexagonal cells, where it would turn into honey.
As for the queen, its only job is to produce more bees and keep an eye on everything; I have seen it correcting the bee immediately when it made a mistake.
My string slowly dipped into one of the cells, and a few seconds later, a big smile bloomed across my face.
The honey had all quality I had hoped it would have; it was even better than I had imagined it would be. It couldn’t help but turn me ecstatic that I wanted to start sucking the honey immediately.
I did not; instead, I calmed myself.
The first thing I did was split the string; immediately, the string split into, from honeycomb to me.
The ends of two strings dipped into the bottle in front of me; the blue bottle was filled with a special liquid I had made for this purpose, and the second transparent one was empty.
As it happened, their ends at the honeycomb began to split again and begin to dip into the hexagonal cells.
They split into thousands of parts; each cell would have two strings dipped into it. One is connected to the empty bottle, while the other is connected to the filled bottle.
I simply cannot take honey; the queen bee will notice.
So, just like I had done with the peaches, I will add something in honey same time I suck it. It is a special solution, which will look like honey and be honey when sensed, but it is not true honey.
It will also disappear within time, so dilution or loss will occur to honey, but it will surely make the queen mad.
With all the preparations made, I waited.
There is three and half-hour rest period when the queen rests, in that it will be less alert. I will finish my job at that time.
So, there was nothing more to do other than wait; I closed my eyes and began working on the inheritance. I have to finish it within two weeks and check it after for mistakes before making a breakthrough.
Which is not a lot of time, but I will have to accomplish it, which is why I could not waste even a minute.
Seven hours passed, and I opened my eyes with a smile on my face, which turned serious a moment later.
‘Let’s begin,’ It had been fifteen minutes since the queen began resting; I had waited for it to fall into sleep more deeply, and now that it did, it was time I begin the harvest.
Buzz!
The formation across the strings had lit up, and the string connected to the bottle acted. The string begins to suck the solution, and when it reaches the end of the string, the other string starts.
It begins to suck the honey while the other strings release an equal amount of solution.
I am taking the honey from the bottom of the cells and depositing the solution at the bottom as well. As I noticed, when the bees drink honey, they mostly drink from the tip; only the queen drinks from deeper.
Currently, the queen is resting, and it is not going to wake up for at least three hours, while I will be finished in less than one and will leave immediately.
I wanted to be out and far away by the time the queen noticed what had happened; its fury would going to be wild, and I did not want to get caught in it, despite my confidence in the formation.
p
I did the same last time, and the thing is, the queen did not even notice. I did not take more than a few bottles.
This time, I am taking more, so the chances of getting discovered are also higher.
