3009 Recovery
“Since you are here, it seemed like you two had been successful in killing the last Grimms,” said the voice behind me.
I turned and saw Ellen getting out of the pool; she was the first to wake up, recovering 96% of her life essence.
Jill is slightly behind her; she has recovered 92% of her essence, and the difference is not surprising. Considering Ellen’s bloodline is holy in nature and thus possesses greater healing ability.
I am a little surprised by Jill’s healing speed; despite being a pure offensive powerhouse, she had a great healing speed.
I shouldn’t be surprised, given she had the best inheritance in the world.
“How are you feeling?” I asked, “Good, nearly recovered, but you already know that with little snooping seeds of your yours,” she said, and the next second, my expression couldn’t help but change.
“You are not the only one with the tricks, Michael,” she said, smiling as she vaporized all the solutions from her body.
She had blinded my seeds, all three of them I had in her, and now, I could not see what was happening inside her.
Not that I needed to; she had nearly recovered, and it wouldn’t take her more than a day to make the rest of the recovery on her own, given her body was still filled with a huge amount of herbal energies from the pool.
“Your fiancĂ© had come to visit her a lot of times; you should go meet her,” I said; her expression became a little strange for a fraction of a second before they eased up.
“I will,” she said before she appeared beside me and looked at the matron, who was submerged in the pool, with the runes covering every inch of her.
“How is she? Can she live?” she asked worriedly. “Living would not be a problem, but waking up would be a long process,” I replied.
After reading in the library, I devised a method that would keep her alive. I will read and research further if I want to heal her.
“That is more than good enough considering her condition,” she said and sighed.
Ellen did not stay long; a minute later, she disappeared while I focused on the matron.
I was working on her when Jill woke up; it took me a while to console the crying girl. She meant a lot to her, more than a teacher, like a grandmother; she had even called that when crying.
Soon, I finished with her and walked back into the healing pool while Jill remained by her side.
By the time I had woken up more than twelve hours later, I had recovered a lot. I am not the only one; everyone had recovered, including my mother; that now, only matron mavis and I remained in med-bay.
I had recovered 65% of my essence and would need another one and a half days and big sleep to recover the rest.
Which is quite fast; the changes I made quickened the recovery by at least eight hours, which is a lot.
The library is already providing me with quite a lot of benefits, not only in healing but also in inheritance.
Reading the books in the library made understanding the content of books from the hall of inheritances quite easy. It seemed like I might not need as much time as I needed to understand the books, or I might not even read all of them.
As the library seemed to have much better books.
I also got a little surprise a few hours ago; the books from the hall of inheritance had filled 15% of my quota.
It is a pleasant surprise, and I hope we will somehow kill the big energy and survive.
Then I would be easily able to fill the quota of this century within a few years or might not even need that much as I have not even submitted the other books I have, including the large collection I have found in old snakes and other Grimms storage.
I asked my clone to take it all in into the library after checking it and also finished looking through the Grimm’s storage carefully.
There are still many things in Grimm’s storage that my clones have not looked at carefully; I wanted to sort them all out as soon as possible.
I got out of the pool, I should stay in it to recover longer, but I have things to do.
There is a meeting called by the supreme commander in two hours, and also, I am famished; I want to eat something delicious very badly.
I disappeared from the med bay and appeared in my room, and directly walked into the shower after removing my clothes.
I could easily clean myself with the energy, which is clean better than the water, but I want to feel the water cascading across my skin.
The mental satisfaction it gives couldn’t be given by the energy.
I stayed in the shower for fifteen minutes before walking out of it and wore a new set of clothes, and walked out of my room.
In the kitchen, I took out the stuff and began cooking; I planned to create something elaborate as I was eating in days.
My hands and the hands made of strings moved; each pair was working on a different dish, working so masterfully that no one in the world could compare.
Yes, I do not know a thing; there is anyone better than me in culinary art. I have achieved a level very have in the world across history.
It took me about an hour to finish it all, and I had just begun to set the table when I saw my mother coming in.
“It smelled delicious,” said mom as she sat on the chair, “I hope you like it,” I said as I took out the bottle of wine and poured us a glass each.
“It smells heavenly; I don’t think a simple like would be enough to describe it,” she said as she clinked the glass before taking a sip of the wine.
“It is good, the best I have ever had,” she said as she gulped down a sip of the wine before she took a bite of the food and immediately closed her eyes.
“I don’t think anyone could compare to you when it comes to cooking,” I said. To that, I smiled.
It is one thing to know yourself and another to be praised by a parent for it.
“How are you feeling? It must have taken a lot for you to defeat those Grimms,” she said, looking me concerned.
“I have mostly recovered, and it took everyone’s efforts, especially yours, to defeat those Grimms,” I replied with a smile.
Without my mother, we wouldn’t have been able to kill them.

“Now, only one had remained,” she said, “Yes, only one,” I said and signed.
For a few minutes, there was complete silence; other than the sound of eating and cutlery, there was no other sound.
“You have grown more than I had ever imagined; I am proud of you,” she said, taking my hands in hers.
I did not say anything other than smile.
Soon, we finished the dinner and talked for a few minutes, general topics, nothing serious.
Still, I made my mother cry after I showed her rose’s photos. She had been out for months and missed many things, including Rose’s birthday.
