2962 Soul Beast
I appeared in the room where Leonard is; it is a medium size room, which is wholly covered in the formations and in the center of which is Leonard.
A battle that happened six days ago; the day he came back from the thing, he had killed a Grimm, but within a few seconds, he fell unconscious.
If it were not for Elder Lord, who saved him at the cost of incurring some injuries, he wouldn’t be alive right now.
What had happened to him had really shocked me; it was not him falling unconscious about which I had warned him, but him surviving.
The backlash he received was not normal; it would have killed him if it were not for that little thing that had saved him.
Which is the most shocking thing.
At first, I wondered whether he was able to create a being like Nero, but he did not. It is something more, something that I was not able to find because it had hidden too deep inside him.
So deep that only after getting the strength of the Grand Lord can I look inside.
It had revealed itself when I scanned his body thoroughly and was able to understand it when I watched the recording that my seed made, especially from his Grand Lord breakthrough.
I sat beside him carefully, not to step into any of the runes, before beginning to release the strings from my hand.
It is the first time I am releasing these many strings at once since I have been injured, which felt quite good; without the unblocking of the circuit, I wouldn’t have been able to do something like this.
As the strings came out, they began to burry inside him, spreading through his body, but most were concentrated on his core.
They surrounded him before some went inside.
I could see Marina pressing hard on my shoulders as I began to send my strings inside the core.
It is dangerous to take things in the core, the core is very territorial, and this one is no exception.
The only reason my strings enter inside it is that I have designed, and I also added channels intentionally for strings to go inside.
It is not because I wanted to spy on him but because his core is made of complicated elements, and I wanted to have to fix them safely as complications arose.
They did when he had used that forbidden move, which I had specifically asked him to use in my care for the first time.
I, at one time, withdrew it from his inheritance but added it back, thinking it might save his life one day, but idiotically, he did not use it to save his life but kill a Grimm.
If not for the Elder Lord, he would have died with that Grimm.
“Gasp!”
Soon, my strings reached the place they wanted to, and the blurry figure became extremely clear that it had made Marina gasp in shock.
“Didn’t I tell you?” I said with a smile as I looked at the tiny golden mammoth with white tusks.
It is fixed between the huge cracks; it is the sole reason why those cracks hadn’t widened up and killed Leonard.
As I said before when I first noticed this little mammoth, I thought it was something like Nero, but it was not.
Nero is entirely different than what this little mammoth is; seeing it, I once against, couldn’t help but be amazed by the things magic could do.
It is not blasting the worlds apart but also creating the things like it.
The creation of little mammoth happened due to various things happening at the same time, ended up creating it.
The most important part of his creation is a soul seed, which is over a thousand years old.
The soul seed is from a special soul-type monster, which at the time of its death, created a soul seed and sent it into the ancestor of Leonard.
The purpose of the soul is simple, gather enough soul energy to be reborn again, but it needs massive soul energy. Humongous, actually, and not normal soul energy either, but one at its purest that I even I don’t have it.
It was gathering the birth soul energy, which is formed when a soul is birthed.
So, through the years, it entered every soul that was produced in Leonard’s family till it had entered Leonard and took the excessive birth soul energy when it first formed.
It had nearly gathered enough energy to be reborn; it would need to pass into another body before it could reborn when I started tinkering with Leonard and his very soul through his constitution.
The first step of its birth occurred when I merged his constitution with art; it created some energies, one of which was similar to birth soul energy.
The dormant seed reacted immediately and went for it and swallowed it but soon found itself trapped in the newly formed core of core of Leonard, which had quite a lot of stray rule-bending power, which it swallowed and triggered.
I should have been able to discover it, but the seed is designed to hide most sacred spaces of one’s soul, where even I could enter without triggering intense reactions.
It had formed some sort of cocoon as it triggered, which would absorb stray rule-bending power and other kinds of energies entering Leonard, which I would conveniently swallow all by his core, but some of it taken by this little thing hidden inside.
The final change came when he was breaking through the Grand Lord class; there was immense energy, which it absorbed to heart’s content, which finally made his core discover it.
At that moment, some function in the art activated, and it was able to imprint to its deepest.
So, when it burst out of its cocoon after the breakthrough, it took the form of a mammoth rather than its original form and created a bond.
In one way, it considered Leonard, a father, and his core is its home, which is why it had not hesitated to sacrifice its essence.
Thankfully, Elder Lord had brought Leonard to me before the little thing could drain his essence fully and disappear.
I was able to provide a little thing with enough energies that not only it had stopped it from burning his essence but recovered what it had lost.
Now it is in perfect condition, stopping the cracks with the energy I am providing.
“Now, it is time to wake him up,” I said, and my strings moved toward the cracks and began to morph into the formation, which covered the cracks on both sides.
Buzz!
The formation activated, and I started to control it to heal the cracks. It is a very delicate task, but I am used to it.
I first brough the cracks together before filling them with the energies; a little more than an hour later, the cracks healed.
In a few hours, he will be ready to join, but before that happens, I have one more thing to do.
I had studied what happened when he used that move and was able to fix the problem it had.
Now, I have to make changes in his inheritance, which I could; like my own inheritance, I have made Leonard’s inheritance malleable, but only I could make these changes.
I could have given the control to Leonard, but he did not have the knowledge to make these changes.
Working on the inheritance requires great knowledge, which only I have in the whole world. I had created this inheritance and was the only one who could make the changes to it.
It took me a little more than two hours to finish the changes before I withdrew my strings.
“Wake up,” I said as I activated a small formation inside him, and a moment later, his eyes flew open, with aura releasing from his body; thankfully, most of his power was his seal, which he would be able to unlock on his own within a minute.
“Calm down,” I said to him, and he relaxed immediately.
“My core, mentor, I think, my core had cracked,” he said as he sat up. “Yes, it had, but I had fixed it,” I said before my eyes became serious.
“That move is designed to save your life; only use it when your life is in danger and not when you think you could kill a Grimm,” I warned as I got up.
“I will remember it,” he said. To that, I nodded.
“You have got very lucky with that little thing; cherish it well,” I said to him and walked out of the room with Marina.
I did not tell him about the little thing; I am sure he knows and will find out more in time.
Currently, that little thing is small, but it will grow powerful and will be a tremendous help in the future.
The only thing he needs to do is take care of it.

Soon, I returned home while Marina went to hers; I left the lab yesterday. I spent some time with my sister and father, who seemed quite worried about me.
Buzz!
I had dinner with my family after that; I went to my room and had just laid down on the bed when my holo-watch rang with the message.
I read it and replied.
A couple of seconds later, the teleportation formation lit up, and Rai walked out of it.
“I am ready,” he said, hearing that a smile couldn’t help but appear on my face. This time, he is truly ready.
“Well, we shouldn’t waste too much time then,” I said as I slowly got up from the bed.
