2780 Killed
Slash!
I gave another to the other leg of the Apeman; it is a little uncomfortable to walk into the shower of blood that another leg is spurting, but I have no choice.
The blood of Apeman is not as dangerous as the blood of the Golden Fire Werewolf, nor is it hot. Though it did have corrosive properties, and I could feel them working on my body, it will take them a while before they affect my performance or do any serious damage.
Though, by that time, I will completely deal with this bastard.
“I will kill you, you wretched human!” It shouted and finally took the hand off its neck and placed it on the staff, but as it tried to take a swing at me, it got destabilized and was barely able to stop itself from falling.
“You are dead already; resisting will bring it faster,” I said calmly as I avoided its loose blow.
A shower of blood is falling from its neck and both legs. In a few minutes, it will die; it is already too late for it, and unless someone could provide it with a healing potion or bandage its injuries, there is no way it would survive. It will not survive; I will make sure of that.
“I will not die alone; I will take you with me,” It said and came at me suicidal, but I easily avoided it while more and more blood spurted from it, till finally, it had lost enough that it could not even remain standing.
BANG!
Its huge body fell down on the ground with a huge bang.
“Bastard!” It cursed and struggled to get up, but it could not. It had lost too much blood and still losing; it won’t be long before it dies of excessive blood. I have no intention of expediting the process by a few minutes; it costs a fortune to take it inside, and it is not worth it, even with the essence rose it offers.
It would have been another thing if it had a bloodline, but it did not. So, I am content to watch him die.
As I watched it struggling, I heard the sounds of footsteps behind me; I did not have to look back to know it was Rachel.
“Who are you?” she asked me with shock, hearing a smile couldn’t help but appear on my bloody caked face. “You hurt me, Rachel; I did not think you would forget your dear friend so quickly,” I said and placed my hand on my chest like I was hurt by it.
I could see her thinking hard before suddenly her eyes went wide in recognization, “Micheal!” She said and moved to hug before stopping when I raised my hand.
“You don’t want to get this on you,” I said, motioning to the Grimm blood that had covered nearly every inch of me. “No wonder it you; only someone like you could kill the Grimm single-handedly despite such a huge disadvantage,” she said.
“I did not do it alone; you had helped,” I said. To that, she smiled, “I am not talking about this one, Micheal,” she said, and to that, I remained quiet.
It had been a while since I had seen her, and she had changed a lot; she had grown slightly taller and became even more beautiful. Her blond hair is also longer; she used to keep them at shoulder length when I used to know her.
“Thank you for rescuing me; I would have been in Grimm’s stomach if not for you saving me on time,” she said softly after some time. “You are my friend. If I did not save you, then who would,” I said, omitting the fact I had come to save her before I knew who she was.
“I am lucky to be your friend,” she said and turned back to me, and now her eyes were far more emotional than they were before.
“I have never truly thanked you for what you did for me.” If not for you, I wouldn’t have been able to get out of that mess, much less had a High Grandmaster apologized to me, a Master,” she said with tears dripping from her eyes.
“You are my friend; you did not have to thank me for anything, and you should tell me about your difficulties. Do you know how bad I felt when I came to know about it from someone else, even after so much we went through,” I said.
“I am sorry,” she said, and tears started dripping from her eyes. “Don’t cry; I only hope that in the future, you will trust me enough to ask me for help,” I said as I gently placed a dried blood-caked hand on her shoulder.
A few months ago, her relationship had turned sour, which is nothing strange; it happened, it is natural, but the thing is. The man she was dating was not willing to part ways and began to force her to mend the relationship, and she couldn’t do anything much because the man she was dating had a grandmother who was a High-Grandmaster.
I had few words with that old woman and even called the quasi-Grand Lord, who is responsible for all High-Grand Lords of that supreme.
The matter was sorted out within a day; the old woman personally went to Rachel to apologize, who was a Master at that time, and the man she was dating never disturbed her again and even received punishment for what he did to her.
I got to know about it from the spies.
Even though it seems unfair, powerful people get certain privileges, and there is not much one can do to fix it.
Though I could not fix it, I could damn well make sure my family, friends, and organization do not suffer under it like I had once, and now, I have the power to make sure nothing of that sort happened to people I care about.
“I will,” she said after some time after she calmed her emotions and wiped her tears.
A few minutes passed, and the Apeman had finally stopped twitching; there was not the slightest movement from its body.
“Let’s go,” I said and walked toward the Apeman, “Is it dead?” asked Rachel. “If it is not, then it will soon,” I said. I have no fear of it acting, it had already lost so much blood there is no way it could do anything to me, and I have to keep an eye on it in case it has something like a potion, which it did not.
Soon, we reached the Apeman, and I found there was some life remaining in it, but it would soon disappear, till then I have a job to do.
“Stay back; you wouldn’t like it if anything from it spurted into your clean clothes,” I said and began to process to remove the ax and arrows.
It is not a clean process, and many other things other than the blood have covered my clothes and blood. As a healer, I worked on many disturbing things and even dealt with Grimm’s physiology, but seeing the substance covering my clothes and hands, I truly wanted to vomit.
