2690 Thing
Central Command, Pyramid
“Why have they not returned yet,” asked the Grand Commander worriedly. She is worried and agitated, and she is not the only one who is feeling such emotions; every council member sitting at the table feels the same emotions.
Even Lady Angela and Sky Lord’s projections had a look of worry on their faces.
Something big had happened, a thing that would change the trajectory of the war. A thing important enough that three Grand Lords had gone to investigate it, the Grimms have sent the five Grand Lords, including the leader of the coven.
Since the war had begun, nothing had caused the three Grandlord to appear in the same place; even when the Lord of glass died, only matron Mavis went to the edge of the realm, while others stayed, but this time, three Grand Lords have gone to investigate.
That thing is too important or could be said most important considering it is a single source that caused more than half breakthroughs in the Grand-Lord class.
It had started the war and ended it; its appearance is both good and bad, and it will change things drastically. It could be said that just news of its appearance had upended the carefully laid plans of both sides, and it appeared, then smashed them into pieces.
This is why everyone is agitated, and it is not happening in the central command of the humans; the coven of Grimms is feeling the same.
A minute felt like hours before, finally, the projection of matron mavis along with patriarch Bradford and Lady Vivian had appeared.” Grand Lords, what are you able to find out” asked the Grand Commander immediately.
“It is as we had guessed; its presence was clear as day,” she replied, and everyone froze for a moment, as despite expecting it, the weight of the news was too big.
“How long do you think it will take to appear” asked the Grand Commander despite knowing the answer to her question.” I don’t know; its reveal time varies after its presence appears,” said matron Mavis, even though she did not have an idea about it.
“According to the historical data, it will take three months to nineteen months to appear after its presence seeped out,” said Lord Whitmore.
“In our time, it had taken seven months” Patriarch Bradford, he knows it too well as it is inside that thing he had made a breakthrough into the Grand Lord class, and he is not the only one; there were more, some of them won’t be able to come out alive, even after making a breakthrough into the Grand Lord class.
“I truly did not think it would appear so early; it had been barely three and half centuries since it had made its appearance,” said Grand Tower Mistress Angela.
“Its appearance is always erratic; two thousand years ago, it had appeared twice within a century,” said Lord Whitmore. The appearance of that thing is erratic, and the rational thing about it is that it only appears twice every millennium; it had never chance since it made the appearance.
“Now that it had appeared, it changes things,” said Lady Vivian, “Yes, we will initiate the Hawthorn protocol,” said Matron Mavis and looked at all the Grand Lord, and nobody seemed to have a problem with what she had said.
Though it had shocked many of the council members.
Hawthorn protocol is not something the council could activate; only Grand Lord could do that, as only they possess enough authority and power to make everyone follow it.
“Should we call Zaar back? We will need maximum people ready to enter that thing when the time comes,” Elder Lord asked.
“No, give the child a time; he will be the most important seed that will enter that thing, and we will need to have him complete his inheritance before that,” said Matron Mavis; “Though we will be having a meeting with the core team of the project today; I am sure they will be able to act, even when that child isn’t there,” she added seeing the expressions people around her.
“What do we do about the news? Should we keep it sealed or release it?” asked Grand Commander; “Release it; it will create a little chaos but will give us benefits,” she said.
Grand Commander looked at the other Grand Lords and saw no objections on their faces.
She turned back to the council, “It seemed like the coming days wouldn’t be easy,” she said with a smile before starting firing orders.
…
Micheal did not know about the world-changing incident that happened, as he was busy sparring words with the Crefa of Blood Fire Hyneman.
“Enough chitchatting; I wipe you away from the face of the world,” roared Crefa, and how powerful bloody aura blasted out of its body; when it hit me, I felt like my blood wanted to burst into the flame, which alarmed me into activating my defenses into the highest order.
I have heard about this blood fire, and the bloodfire belonging to the bastard is strongest. It had killed our High-Grandmaster with just a touch; it had made her own blood burn her to ashes. This bloodfire is a very dangerous ability, and I have to be careful of it, given the difference in our strength.
As my defenses activated, the effect of its aura halted, but it had still made me shudder at what it had been able to accomplish just with its aura.
Dealing with it going to be very difficult, and I might get burned to ashes by my own blood, and that couldn’t help but make me excited.
I was right in my decision to see the combat for inspiration; if I continued fighting with the enemies like that, it wouldn’t be long before I would have the data I needed, and it won’t be just the data; I would be getting, but much more, I am sure of that.
The only thing I have to do is fight.
