Chapter 5054: Yuan Jing's Visit

Chapter 5054: Yuan Jing’s Visit

The Immortal Island was sparsely populated, inhabited only by cranes or maidens transformed from flower spirits. Within the grand hall, she stood alone, undisturbed by any sound except the faint rustling of pages as she leafed through the books.

Meanwhile, outside the island, a young guard and an elderly man escorted a man clad in white. The three stood at the entrance to the island.

Barred by the protective barrier, they could neither touch nor approach it, remaining halted before it.

“Young Master, we have arrived,” the old man said, gazing at the mist-shrouded island ahead, his voice tinged with excitement.

The white-robed man, Yuan Jing, fixed his lifeless gaze ahead. Though he knew the island before him belonged to the Phoenix Empress, his blindness rendered him surprisingly calm.

“I am Yuan Jing, here to pay my respects to the Phoenix Empress.”

His voice, imbued with spirit energy and an aura of authority, pierced through the clouds and barrier, carrying into the heart of the Immortal Island.

A sacred crane soaring through the island’s skies circled the entrance, listened to the words, and soon flapped its wings toward the main hall. Upon arrival, Shadow One transformed the crane into a beautiful immortal maiden who landed lightly before the hall’s entrance. She approached with delicate steps and reported softly: “Master, a visitor has arrived. He claims the name Yuan Jing. Shall I grant him audience?”

Hearing the voice from outside the hall, Feng Jiu paused briefly in turning the pages of her book before replying, “Let them enter.”

“Yes, Master.” The fairy responded softly, then turned and flew off to greet the visitor.

Yuan Jing and his two companions followed the fairy inside. Unable to see, he had no idea what kind of celestial wonderland lay beyond the gates of this immortal isle. Yet he distinctly sensed that the breathing of the two men beside him had changed.

“Uncle Yuan, is the scenery inside truly beautiful?” Yuan Jing asked, his gentle voice tinged with a hint of amusement.

“Beautiful? It’s beyond description—a true paradise,” the elder replied, his voice trembling with excitement. Yet he lowered his tone, mindful of the young master’s blindness. “Young Master, when your eyes are healed, you too shall behold this celestial realm.”

Hearing this, Yuan Jing smiled but said nothing.

Finally, they arrived before the grand hall. The fairy entered to announce their arrival, then led them inside before withdrawing.

“Yuan Jing pays his respects to the Phoenix Empress,” Yuan Jing bowed forward.

“We pay our respects to the Phoenix Empress,” the old man and the guard bowed deeply in a kneeling salute.

Feng Jiu closed the book in her hands, looked at the three figures in the hall, and said, “Have a seat.”

“Thank you, Phoenix Empress.”

Yuan Jing expressed his gratitude, allowing the old man to lead him to a seat nearby. The old man and the guard stood behind him, not daring to look around, standing quietly with their eyes half-lowered.

“You found the it so quickly?” Feng Jiu inquired, her gaze fixed on Yuan Jing. It must be said, the Immortal Realm certainly had no shortage of strikingly handsome men and beautiful women.

“Yes. As soon as I obtained the fish eye, I brought it here.” Speaking, he retrieved a box from his sleeve and handed it to the elder beside him.

The elder accepted it, bowed his head, and presented it with both hands in reverence: “For the Phoenix Empress to examine.”

Feng Jiu glanced at the box. As she opened it, a chill spread out, accompanied by a potent aura of spirit energy. Inside lay a pair of crimson eyes, crystalline and gleaming.
