Chapter 4794: Yet Another Year
Chapter 4794: Yet Another Year
Inside the airship, Yue’er settled beside the Azure Emperor, leaning against him. “Master,” she asked, “can we go see Uncle Mo Chen? He ascended; can we go visit him?”
The Azure Emperor, with his eyes closed and one hand propping his head, didn’t even open them. “No,” he stated.
“Why not? No one will recognize us now,” Yue’er blinked, a puzzled expression on her face.
Hearing this, the Azure Emperor opened his eyes, sat upright, and glanced at the two individuals not far away, then at the little girl beside him. He slowly said, “Your mother didn’t send you to me so you could visit relatives. If you have free time, you’d better use it to practice.” He then looked at Yue’er. “Have you memorized your whip technique?”
“I’ve memorized it, but I haven’t practiced it all yet,” Yue’er replied softly.
“Then put some effort into it and don’t think about anything else. Until you can stand on your own two feet, I won’t let you see anyone you know,” he said slowly, glancing at all three of them. “When you go back, all of you go into seclusion to practice.”
“Yes,” the three responded in unison.
Yue’er then left his side and joined her two brothers. The three of them went into the cabin and whispered among themselves. After following their master back to the mountains, they were ordered to close themselves off for training and not to venture out. Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, another year had passed.
In the Immortal Realm, Feng Jiu, dressed in her signature red robes, once again arrived at the Eastern Sea Spirit Realm. Du Fan, Leng Hua, and Leng Shuang were guarding this area. They hadn’t seen their master for a year, so they were overjoyed to see her return.
“Master!”
“Master, you said you were coming back, but we didn’t expect you to arrive so quickly.”
“Master, have you been all right these past few days, being away from home?”
The three gathered around her, their eyes filled with concern and affection.
Feng Jiu smiled slightly. “Yes, I’m fine.” She then looked out at the sea and asked, “Is everything normal here?”
“Yes, Master, everything is normal. We haven’t gone into the sea to check because of your orders. We don’t know how Hell’s Lord is doing this past year,” Du Fan replied, his gaze also falling on the sea.
“No one has gone into the sea to disturb him this year, right?” Feng Jiu asked softly.
“No, those few knew that Hell’s Lord was resting in the sea, so they didn’t come to disturb him. Over the past year, the cultivators who were originally guarding the area have also dispersed, and no one dares to sneak into the sea anymore.”
“Master, it’s getting late. Let’s go to the airship and rest first!” Leng Shuang suggested.
“Mmm,” Feng Jiu replied, then followed the three of them to the airship.
All the Feng Guards were delighted by her arrival and prepared to welcome her. They divided up the work: some went hunting for wild game, while others prepared different dishes and wine. When night fell, everyone sat together, eating, drinking, and chatting. Feng Jiu also shared stories of what she had seen and encountered during the past year.
“You must have heard about Mo Chen’s ascension. Over the past year, I made a special trip to the Nalan family to inform his father of the news,” Feng Jiu said, taking a sip of wine and looking up at the sky, her eyes narrowing. It had been a year since Mo Chen’s ascension.
