Chapter 6349: God Curse

Chapter 6349: God Curse

Chu Feng’s grandmother looked nonchalant as if killing the powerful God Mother was nothing worth mentioning. She wanted to sit down and continue assimilating the shattered stones, but she noticed something and raised her head to look at where the God Mother previously stood.

The God Mother had been reduced to ashes, but things weren’t over yet.

As the ashes scattered, a fingernail-sized bead that emanated a faint light floated out. There were ancient words inscribed on the bead—God Curse.

The God Mother’s feeble but furious voice echoed from the bead, “How dare a mere human murder a god? Don’t think that you can oppress me just because I’m from a weaker lineage among the God Clans! Can you take the consequences of killing a god?”

The God Mother’s voice was filled with killing intent, but she abruptly fell silent after. The bead shattered, transforming into streams of light that gushed toward Chu Feng’s grandmother.

Chu Feng’s grandmother compressed the flames in the cavern, focusing them on the streams of light. The heat in the cavern intensified, causing space to distort to an extreme degree.

However, the streams of light were unfazed by the intensified flames and surged into the head of Chu Feng’s grandmother.

Chu Feng’s grandmother frowned, but she didn’t feel any pain. Instead, her eyes suddenly became clearer as if she had regained her senses.

“What did she say earlier? Chu Feng? Chu Feng? Why does it sound so familiar?”

Conflict flickered in her eyes as she racked her brain for an answer. Countless voices echoed in her ears—these were the conversations she had overheard while wandering the world. She had ignored them then, but she found many clues in those voices.

As her mind cleared up, her eyes sharpened in clarity.

“He’s Xuanyuan’s son. Feng’er is my grandson! No, someone seeks to hurt my grandson. It’s the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion!”

All of a sudden, two ancient words, ‘God Curse’, appeared on her forehead and glowed.

Her face warped in pain, and she soon fainted. At the same time, the flames in the cavern receded.

...

A gigantic warship was floating in another realm in the Divine Body Galaxy. The flag it flew revealed that it belonged to the Ye Immortal Clan.

The warship was huge enough to house a cluster of palaces, practically making it a floating city. Guards were patrolling everywhere.

Four figures were gathered in one of the smaller palaces.

A white-haired old man and an old woman floated in mid-air, their eyes closed in cultivation. They gave off an imposing air. They were grand elders of the Ye Immortal Clan, as well as the parents of the incumbent Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief.

There were two other people in the room, too.

One was a scholarly youth dressed in a golden robe. The other was cloaked from head to toe, though the outlines suggested a small physique. They sat opposite each other, playing a game of chess.

It was a peculiar chess set—the chess pieces were treasures manifested out of formations.

“Lord Clan Chief,” an elder’s voice sounded outside the room.

“Didn’t I say not to disturb me while I’m playing against the guest elder?” the youth coldly replied.

He didn’t look like the type to have a temper, but in his annoyance, he unleashed terrifying oppressive might. It turned out he was the Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief.

The elder outside was frightened, but he clenched his jaws and said, “Lord Clan Chief, Elder Ye Zun and the others’ life tablets have shattered.”

The Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief immediately looked over. Even the two grand elders opened their eyes as well.

The door opened. The elder kneeling outside the door was holding a plate. There were 37 life tablets on the plate, each inscribed with a name, but all of them had shattered.

The Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief and the two grand elders couldn’t believe their eyes. They inspected the life tablets and were forced to conclude that their owners had lost their lives.

“Elder Ye Zun has a protective formation, but it didn’t even activate?”

The Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief looked at the two grand elders behind. Despite being the clan chief, his knowledge was still lacking compared to his parents. In particular, his father was the previous clan chief.

“The Divine Body Heavenly Mansion is the strongest power in the Divine Body Galaxy, but they don’t have the means to kill our elders,” the old man said.

“Could it be the Zhao Immortal Clan or the Heavensword Sacred Palace?” the clan chief asked.

“It’s unlikely. There’s no grudge between us. Maybe there are other Ancient Era’s powers in the Divine Body Galaxy that we don’t know about,” the old man said. He turned to the kneeling elder and asked, “Can you trace where they lost their lives?”

“Lord Grand Elder, it’s this place.”

The elder was prepared for this question. He took out a formation map with a location marked.

“You stay here. I’ll go there to take a look,” the old man said.

“Father, I’ll go with you,” the clan chief said.

Just then, the cloaked guest elder walked over and asked, “Can you bring me with you?”

It was a feminine voice.

The two grand elders looked at the clan chief.

“Let’s go together then,” the clan chief said.

So, the Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief drove the warship toward where the 37 elders died.

It was already late at night. There were two majestic phenomena in the sky other than the stars. One was God’s Era’s silhouette, and the other resembled a massive spatial rift—the Immemorial Cemetery’s entrance.

These two phenomena looked more conspicuous at night. They could be seen even without resorting to special means.

Most people had already heard about God’s Era, so they were more intrigued by the spatial rift.

The Ye Immortal Clan, being a major power with observation means, was already aware of the emergence of the Immemorial Cemetery. However, they chose not to join the commotion as there was something they coveted more in the Divine Body Galaxy.

The deaths of the 37 elders, which included three Heavenly Gods, were a huge deal to them. These were the Ye Immortal Clan’s elites. This was a matter they had to take seriously.

...

While the Ye Immortal Clan was setting off, Chu Feng also emerged from a teleportation formation. He arrived at the realm where the Ye Immortal Clan’s army was previously stationed.
