Chapter 1413 - 1413 Sister Nian: Someone Touched My Things
1413 Sister Nian: Someone Touched My Things
The backpack was unzipped.
She could just make out the contents from where she was.
Qiao Chen suddenly stopped in her tracks, her heart beating faster.
She had a brief moment of hesitation, but the unzipped backpack in front of her was too tempting. Her feet seemed to be nailed to the ground, unable to move.
There was no one here now. One more moment’s hesitation and she might be back.
Qiao Chen almost bit her lip. The pain from her lips stimulated her. Her eyes were slightly red from jealousy. After feeling extremely nervous and hesitant, she slowly walked towards Qiao Nian’s backpack in the lounge…
Three minutes later.
Qiao Chen left the lounge in a hurry.
She deliberately avoided the staff outside and slipped out quietly, afraid that someone would notice her.
She was in a hurry all the way back. The tension lasted until she returned to the stands. She didn’t feel at ease until she went to her seat.
“Chen Chen, what’s wrong?” Shen Qiongzhi saw that she didn’t look too good and was worried about her health. She placed her hand on her shoulder in concern.
Fu Ge came today.
As soon as Shen Qiongzhi spoke, he noticed that Qiao Chen’s face was pale. He touched her forehead and asked with concern, “Why is your forehead so cold? Didn’t you go to the washroom? So fast?”
Feeling guilty, Qiao Chen dodged his hand absent-mindedly and said in a hurry, “Ah, there were too many people in the queue, so I came back first.”
“I see.” Fu Ge didn’t think too much about it. He put down his hand and his handsome face stood out in the crowd. “Then, you can go later.”
Qiao Chen nodded obediently and sat down.
However, her heart was thumping non-stop. She grabbed the hem of her dress with both hands and gripped it tightly before letting go. Her knuckles were white from the force.
…
On the other side, Qiao Nian and Du Mingwei chatted with the people from the International IT Association for a while before returning to the lounge.
Once she was inside.
Glancing from afar at the shoulder bag she’d left on the makeup table before going out, her dark eyes immediately narrowed. “Someone touched my things,” she said coldly.
“Uh…” Du Mingwei immediately broke out in a cold sweat. He turned around to look at Qiao Nian, then followed her gaze and saw the bag on the dressing table. “Are you saying that someone came in?”
Qiao Nian adjusted her cap and walked in unhurriedly.
Du Mingwei couldn’t tell that her bag had been damaged. He frowned in disbelief. “We haven’t been out for long. 10 minutes at most. Who would come in?”
“The zipper was perfectly zipped up. How could you tell at a glance that someone had touched it?”
“… because when I went out, the zipper was open.”
Qiao Nian had already walked to the dressing table. Lowering her eyes, she nimbly opened her bag and checked the contents. Under Du Mingwei’s gaze, she said expressionlessly, “As expected, the hard drive is gone.”
Why was the hard drive gone again!
Du Mingwei was speechless. He didn’t know what he was getting into every day.
He’d had his first experience. This one was a lot calmer than the last.
“I’ll check the surveillance cameras immediately and see who came in!” Even though he was anxious, he immediately reacted and wanted to go out to look for the security personnel.
