Lord Xue Ying

Even though Great Emperor North River had entered the ‘Snake Tooth Corridor’ for more than 200 billion years, there were many safe zones within the Snake Tooth Corridor too. For instance, the ‘nodes’ were areas where the gale could not reach. Or for instance, within the Light Ball Dimensions, if Xue Ying did not take the initiative of entering a Realm Fragment, he would not suffer from any attacks either. By staying in these safe zones, one would naturally not consume any energy within the supreme artifact (Snake-Tooth Bead or Thousand-Eyed Water Droplet). One could simply cultivate forever here!

‘Supreme Vast Ancient and Monarch Flying Snow? Why would it be so coincidental for me to meet the two of them?’ Great Emperor North River felt his heart trembling. He even thought that Monarch Flying Snow came to take revenge! After all, his act of snatching a supreme artifact like the Thousand-Eyed Water Droplet was sufficient in making Great Emperors risk their lives for it.

But then, he felt it was unlikely the case.

For both Supreme Vast Ancient and Monarch Flying Snow to enter, they would have to use up two supreme artifacts! It was unlikely done just simply because of some minor vengeance.

“It is such a coincidence to see Supreme and Monarch Flying Snow here at the Snake Tooth Corridor.” Great Emperor North River revealed a grin. He chuckled, “Monarch Flying Snow, I feel ashamed previously for doing what I did. I had to do it because of the intense desire in me. Furthermore, you also agreed that you would be giving me the Thousand-Eyed Water Droplet in the end. I am merely taking it earlier, that’s all. Even though I wiped an avatar of yours, you have many avatars so there was no damage done to you…”

“Hmph.” The expression of Xue Ying sunk as he glared at that Great Emperor North River who currently stood on a vascular channel emitting light.

Great Emperor North River immediately added when he saw that: “I know I was the one that breached the contract. And I understand that Monarch Flying Snow is furious now. How about this, let me offer a gift of apology. I have here a piece of supreme-graded secret treasure which I am willing to offer to Monarch so as to appease your anger.”

Xue Ying did not have the slightest good will towards this Great Emperor North River at all.

In the past, he promised to help the other party merely because he wasn’t willing to see many of the Native Worlds suffering from calamities. Great Emperor North River had already promised him with many benefits for his aid in acquiring the ‘Black Leaf Flower Dew’. In the end, the other party did not give him anything. Instead, Great Emperor North River wiped his avatar out.

Xue Ying had already seen through the other party.

This North River… was simply too ruthless! For the sake of his Dao path, he would not hesitate to do anything.

“Monarch Flying Snow.” Supreme Vast Ancient chuckled by the side, “This North River has bullied you. Now that both of us have met him here, it is destined for us to exterminate him! If you do not oppose it, how about we work together to eliminate him?”

“Supreme!” Great Emperor North River paled. He cried out in alarm, “Supreme, why is there a need to force me to such ends?”

Xue Ying similarly stunned.

Eliminate Great Emperor North River?

The three of them had the energy from the supreme artifact (Snake-Tooth Bead or Thousand-Eyed Water Droplet) protecting them. But this did not mean they were unparalleled! Because this protective energy could only be affected from some environmental changes in this forbidden ground. It could only be used to protect themselves and not be used to attack! If it could be used to attack, Xue Ying would have easily acquired the ‘black dagger’ from the Light Ball Dimension earlier on.

And because these supreme artifacts could not be used for offense, they (Snake-Tooth Bead and Thousand-Eyed Water Droplet) were merely used as a layer of heaven-defying armor!

And even if the defenses of the armor were greater, one would still be bombarded backwards when they suffer from a strike!

That was why they could not stabilize their bodies when they were sucked into the dark maelstrom earlier. Instead, they were engulfed along with the maelstrom into the Snake Tooth Corridor! In other words, the moment Xue Ying, Supreme Vast Ancient, and Great Emperor North River fight, they would be flying uncontrollably around the place. If Supreme Vast Ancient were to fight with Great Emperor North River only, even though Great Emperor North River is disadvantaged, he could still control the outcome of the battle.

But the moment Xue Ying’s soul technique came out, that black protective light cover could not defend him at all! And Great Emperor North River’s strength would be greatly reduced. This gap would increase to that between a ‘god general’ and a ‘Supreme’.

With such a huge gap, he would simply be trampled upon!

He would most likely be struck to the void by the side in one or two moves.

One had to know that they were always flying along the passage. Why? Because most regions outside the channel were open to the fierce gale. It would greatly consume the energy within their supreme artifacts (Snake-Tooth Bead and Thousand-Eyed Water Droplet). Furthermore, this gap in strength was too big. Supreme Vast Ancient could entirely ‘capture’ Great Emperor North River alive before sending him into some dangerous places which would thus consume all energy in his Thousand-Eyed Water Droplet.

And the moment the energy in his supreme artifact is depleted, that would also be the moment Great Emperor North River fall.

“Supreme…” Xue Ying was astonished in his heart. Supreme Vast Ancient had just entered the Snake Tooth Corridor without willing to waste any energy of his. But now, he was willing to use them in dealing with North River?

How would Xue Ying understand.

Supreme Vast Ancient was already displeased with Great Emperor North River for the other party gathered 36 god generals for the sake of competing for resources with the Supreme. Nonetheless, Supreme Vast Ancient could only suppress the other party yet he could not nip in the bud of the problem. This time with the help of Xue Ying, Supreme Vast Ancient was confident of dealing with the Great Emperor North River easily. Secondly, it was also because Supreme Vast Ancient had achieved his goal of acquiring that fiery-red feather. He did not mind about consuming some energy in his Snake-Tooth Bead for his harvest in this expedition into the Snake Tooth Corridor was huge enough. Supreme Vast Ancient also wanted to rely on this opportunity to gain favor from Xue Ying so that Xue Ying would be willing to lend a helping hand to him in the future.

“Monarch Flying Snow, how about it?” Supreme Vast Ancient chuckled.

Xue Ying did not hesitate when he saw that: “Alright, Supreme. Many thanks!”

“Sou sou.”

Supreme Vast Ancient and Great Emperor North River both turned into streams of light at the same time. They charged right at Great Emperor North River.

“Very ruthless, Vast Ancient. You plan on borrowing Monarch Flying Snow’s help to eliminate me.” Great Emperor North River gritted his teeth. He fled in the other direction along the vascular channel.

Even though Supreme Vast Ancient had to bring Xue Ying along, his speed was clearly much faster.

“Sou––”

One chasing after the other!

Even though they were relatively far at the start, the distance between them were shortening rapidly.

“I can’t care less any longer.” Great Emperor North River glanced backwards before rapidly passing through the node of a vascular channel, turning into many side paths before rushing towards the nearest Light Ball Dimension he could reach.

“He is escaping into the Light Ball Dimension?” Xue Ying felt puzzled.

Rushing into a Light Ball Dimension was simply running into a dead-end!

“Mn? Unless…” The eyes of Supreme Vast Ancient squinted.

“Sou sou sou!”

Great Emperor North River did not hesitate to enter that Light Ball Dimension. Xue Ying and Supreme Vast Ancient practically rushed into it almost at the same time. Though at the moment when Xue Ying crossed the border, he was startled: ‘This Light Ball is huge! It seems to be the biggest within the entire sea of consciousness. Nonetheless, it is not producing any suppression at all?’

“Hu.”

After crossing through the membrane wall of the Light Ball, they arrived at another dimension.

And the next reaction Xue Ying had after entering was his eyes widening with his mouth widening unknowingly. Given his current realm, he was still shocked at the scene. This was simply the most startling scene he had ever seen since his birth.

“This, this, this…” Xue Ying was watching in a daze.

Standing at the inner void, he could see the surrounding wall membrane moving in some bizarre rhythm.

Xue Ying could see the whole Broken Tooth Mountain Range beyond the ‘Snake Tooth Corridor’ through these walls! And observing the Broken Tooth Mountain Range from within this Light Ball Dimension was completely different from what he could see in the past.

An incomparably huge meandering snake appeared within his vision.

Here, the Snake Tooth Corridor was also the snakehead! And the body of the snake was faintly appearing, meandering throughout the entire Broken Tooth Mountain Range. Those ‘Native Worlds’ were in reality, spatial pockets that had been formed above this enormous snake. And those worlds relied precisely on this enormous snake corpse to exist.

On the other side.

It was that similarly enormous thousand-eyed existence. It had dozens of claws, and many more–numbered beyond a thousand eyes. Its entire corpse seemed complete. Those ‘sky-floating islands’ seemed to be part of this enormous creature’s body. Just like those ‘gray eyes’ and ‘gold eyes’, they were precisely at different locations of this corpse.

Every weird tree had a mysterious eye situated on top of it. In reality, those trees were miniature vascular networks within the enormous corpse.

Given its complete corpse, it was practically impossible to take any of the mysterious eyes away from its corpse, especially when this was such a frightening existence! Many mysterious items in the sky-floating islands would produce a terrifying shockwave the moment one contacted them.

“This… this… the entire Broken Tooth Mountain Range is actually formed from the corpses of the two Chaotic Origin Lifeforms.” Xue Ying felt dumbstruck.

Those sky-floating islands existed above the thousand-eyed lifeform.

And those native worlds appeared above the body of that enormous snake.

No wonder he suffered from an incomparable pressure the moment he stepped into any sky-floating islands. Xue Ying could not even execute the ‘Great Destruction Realm Teleportation Technique’ within. One had to know that he could execute this technique even in the Chaotic Origin Dimension, yet he could not within the sky-floating islands! Clearly, the environment had been suppressed by the remnant force generated by that thousand-eyed lifeform corpse.

“Many experts have been seeking for the rumored corpses from the two most powerful Chaotic Origin Lifeforms here. You cultivators are also seeking for them. But almost nobody knows that the entire Broken Tooth Mountain Range is actually condensed out from these two corpses. We have always been on top of these corpses.” Even though this was not the first time witnessing it, Supreme Vast Ancient remained engrossed at the scene.

And not too far away, Great Emperor North River did not care about the scene any longer. He had seen it before, and was instead watching Xue Ying and Supreme Vast Ancient with wariness.
