Lord of the Magical Beasts

“Rodriguez, you have crossed the Divine Tribulation. Which stage did you advance to?” The Scorpion King Emmett observed with starry eyes the Corpse Wizard King, whose airs changed greatly and had more power than before.

Emmett sustained heavy injuries in the past, and he lost most of his power. Even though he practiced bitterly in silence, he still had just recovered the early Domain-Level’s power, and the disparity between him and the Dark Dragon King, Giant Ape King, and others only got greater. There wasn’t any point in comparing himself to the Corpse Wizard King, who was groomed by Yang Ling.

“Hehe, I didn’t advance by much. I’ve only reached the High-Level Deity Stage. It’s a failure!” The Corpse Wizard King shook his head and showed off. He had great strength, yet he was still carefree. He delivered another grave blow to the crowd’s frail nerves.

After he advanced into the High-Level Deity Stage in one go, the power of the Mind Magic Domain, Corpse Poison Domain, Death Ripples, and other spells rose by tenfold or maybe even a hundredfold. Many magical symbols even appeared atop the legendary Master Divine Weapon, the Death Horn. He couldn’t understand them in a short while, but he was sure that this was beneficial to him. The sole matter he wasn’t sure of was whether he grasped the abstruse Mighty Beasts Wizard Spell. He just got some insights about it, and he wasn’t sure of this because he didn’t try it.

“Ophelia, go and see if you can combine your power with Rodriguez.” Yang Ling instructed Ophelia. She managed to evolve into an eight-winged angel in one try, and it seemed that she was on the verge of evolving into a ten-winged angel.

Ophelia specialized in battles and wasn’t like the numerous Magical Beasts. She had already grasped the Angel Battle Formation, which was similar to the Mighty Beasts Wizard Spell, and after she evolved into an eight-winged angel, her Soul Energy got stronger, and she became the sole person, other than Yang Ling, who grasped the Mighty Beasts Wizard Spell.

“Rodriguez, relax and sense my Soul Ripples. Relax!” Ophelia was quite patient and after she descended, she started looking for a way to combine her power with the Corpse Wizard King. She also taught him the way to control precisely his body’s Divine Power and Soul Ripples, as well as the way to release his Divine Consciousness.

Ophelia had never used the Mighty Beasts Domain, but this didn’t stop her from getting engrossed into this. Yang Ling observed the scarlet radiance around both people’s bodies and observed with his senses their nearly identical Soul Ripples. He was overjoyed by this and he instructed Hydra, the Dark Dragon King, and others to test the joint power of Ophelia and the Corpse Wizard King.

Roar!

The warlike Giant Ape King was the first person to attack. He let out a roar before he raised his heavy Obsidian Rod and attacked the Corpse Wizard King. As a rumble echoed out, the scarlet radiance around Corpse Wizard King’s body shook slightly and the Giant Ape King’s body was deflected. He was thrown far away and his fingers turned numb.

The Giant Ape King wouldn’t be able to break the defense of Corpse Wizard King and Ophelia even if they stood motionless.

“Huh? Let me try this,” Hydra let out a surprised cry and took its main form before it soared into the sky. As a “swooshing” sound echoed it, it dived down from a high-altitude and it seemed like a large mountain that would crush the Corpse Wizard King and Ophelia.

“Hehehe, Death Ripples.”

The Corpse Wizard King exchanged several glances with Ophelia before he moved back by several steps calmly. After he fused his power with Ophelia’s Soul Energy, his soul power rose drastically and he let out a shout before he released the Death Ripples. As for Ophelia, she held a sharp blade and stayed next to the Corpse Wizard King to protect him.

Sizzle!

As airwaves streaked past, they caused loud air explosions, and many spatial fissures appeared everywhere they passed. They were as swift as lightning, and they quickly entered Hydra’s body. In an instant, Hydra felt like it suffered a heavy hammer’s strike. Its body’s surface didn’t sustain any wound, but the inside of its body was a mess, and it got a splitting headache. It felt like its head would be cleaved into two halves and like it had been struck by a rod!

“Angelic Blade!”

Ophelia held a blade. She had a rich experience and she combined her power with the Corpse Wizard King’s Divine Power. As a “swooshing” sound echoed out, she ran at a much faster speed. She instantly reached Hydra’s main golden head and wounded it. This was just a practice. If they were on the battlefield, she would have managed to instantly cut off the head.

“Charge! Charge together.”

“Roar! Observe mine!”

After the Dark Dragon King, the few God-Level Mammoths and others observed the awe-inspiring Ophelia and Corpse Wizard King, their fighting spirits were stirred up and they carried out ferocious attacks. Even with their strength, the God-Level Mammoths still weren’t a match for Ophelia and the Corpse Wizard King, even when the banned with others. All the creatures either got headaches from the Death Ripples or were mangled by Ophelia.

After Ophelia and the Corpse Wizard King cast the Mighty Beasts Domain Wizard Spell, they were able to communicate telepathically, and they could coordinate perfectly. Besides, the combination of their power allowed them to release great fighting prowess at a higher speed than before. It would be difficult for one to break their defense unless one’s power was far greater than theirs. It was also difficult for one to block their strong attacks.

One plus one wasn’t as simple as two!

It formed many rivers in the boundless plains, but the crowd had already gone to sleep. This might have been because they were too tired, yet it might also have been because they were thoroughly relaxed.

“When I rest tomorrow, I must decipher several other Dragon Head Rings.” Yang Ling looked at the heavy rain and shook his head. He took a deep breath of fresh air before he sat cross-legged in the tent. He started waving Wizard Seals with his hands and he regained his calm.
