Adam Sinclair returned to his desk in a cheerful mood, his voice now much gentler as he spoke.
The assistants handed over the documents that needed his signature one by one, "President Sinclair, this is the finance department’s report for this month, please have a look."
"President Sinclair, this is the new proposal from the planning department. Didn’t you ask them to revise it before? This has been redone according to your requirements."

Adam had accumulated quite a bit of work recently, but his good mood made it seem less daunting. He picked up the pen from the desk, looking elegant and charming, "One by one."
The assistant let the finance department go first.
Adam took the report, scanned the data quickly, and signed it with a swipe. Next was the planning department’s proposal... Everything was unusually smooth today, as he basically didn’t return anything for redoing.
Each assistant breathed a sigh of relief as they took back the documents, bowed to him, and left.
The assistants had just stepped out when the door of the president’s office was knocked again.
"Come in." Adam casually opened his computer, and as he pulled up the documents he needed for the day, he caught sight of two people who instantly ruined his good mood.
"Chairman, please come in. President Anderson, please come in." The secretary respectfully ushered the two people inside before reporting to Adam, "President Sinclair, the chairman and Celestial Entertainment’s President Anderson are here."
Adam initially wanted to act as if he hadn’t seen the two, but with the secretary’s call, he couldn’t ignore Benjamin Sinclair in front of outsiders. He merely lifted his eyelids and said indifferently, "Understood, you may leave."
"Yes, President Sinclair." The secretary, aware of the strained relationship between Adam and Benjamin Sinclair, didn’t dare linger and closed the office door behind her as she exited.
Once the door was shut, Adam didn’t even bother to stand up; he continued working on his tasks without glancing at them, coldly asking, "What brings the chairman to see me?"
Benjamin Sinclair was so enraged by his indifferent attitude that he almost lost his temper, "What kind of attitude is this?"
Renee Anderson, wearing a light blue Chanel suit today, with a small skirt perfectly highlighting her elegant and poised demeanor, her neckline adorned with a graceful bow, added to her composed elegance. She stepped forward, placated the furious Benjamin, and smiled to mediate, "Uncle Sinclair, don’t be angry. Adam doesn’t mean anything by it; he might just be too busy with work."
"Being busy with work is no excuse for a lack of manners!" Benjamin remained displeased, still admonishing.
Renee soothed his irritation, unperturbed by the awkward situation, and skillfully played the peacemaker, "When I get busy with work, I’m just like Adam, my mind full of tasks, sometimes overlooking details. Once, I had a meal with an overseas partner, and halfway through, I realized I was so busy before leaving that I forgot to put on even light makeup. The whole day, I went without, but luckily, they didn’t mind. Adam has it easy compared to that."
Benjamin’s expression softened a bit, increasingly pleased with her considerate and intelligent nature. He gave Renee’s hand a reassuring pat and said, "Renee, you’re sensible. Didn’t you say there was a project you wanted to discuss with Adam? You two go ahead and talk; it’s been a while since I’ve been here, I’ll go inspect a bit and come back later."
"But... isn’t Uncle Sinclair staying?" Renee seemed a bit hesitant.
Benjamin gave her an encouraging look and then turned to the frowning Adam, saying, "Renee is in your hands for now. Have a good discussion with her."
