She took a deep breath and didn’t insist on staying, "Alright, I’ll head back tonight. If anything happens to Olivia, remember to call me. Don’t worry, with me here, your dad and that mother-child duo can’t stir up trouble. If they really dare to cause a scene now, don’t blame me for turning against your dad. He would investigate the matter thoroughly, but before then, he just needed to sleep a bit; too much had happened today to make sense of. Without her by his side, he feared insomnia.
The moonlight quietly streamed in, and a small bird on the treetop was preening its feathers. The night was peaceful, and the hospital room’s atmosphere was warmly flowing.
Everything was just right.
