Having made a mistake himself, Olivia Lewis did not feel any guilt about letting a six-foot man curl up on a five-foot couch for the night. Seeing him really plan to sleep on the couch, she yawned and returned to the bedroom, locking the door behind her.
Adam Sinclair heard the ’click’ of the door lock, and his thin lips unconsciously curved upwards. He lay down on the couch, curled up, covered himself with a blanket, closed his eyes, and prepared to sleep.
Sweet dreams for the night.
The next morning, when Olivia Lewis got up, there was no one on the couch outside, but the blanket had been neatly folded and placed in the corner of the couch.
On the dining table was a steaming breakfast. It was her favorite millet porridge and pancakes. No need to guess; it must have been someone queuing up in the morning to buy them.
She leisurely enjoyed her breakfast, feeling much better after a night of frustration. After calling Enna Clark, she went to buy some fruit.
An hour later, Olivia Lewis visited Old Master Lawrence, dropped off the fruit, and went to a nearby café with Enna Clark.
"I saw the news last night, Olivia, are you okay?" Enna Clark asked with a worried frown as soon as she sat down.
Olivia Lewis waved her hand dismissively, "I’m fine, I didn’t really believe it from the start, so it’s okay. It’s just that I might not be able to terminate my contract for now."
She explained to Enna Clark how August Oliver had come to see her last night and shared her thoughts.
"The biggest impact on me is just not being able to terminate the contract for now. Everything else is fine. Don’t worry, I’m not easily swayed. The more she expects me to argue with Adam, the less I’ll quarrel." She was clear about what Renee Anderson wanted, so she handled it calmly last night. "By the way, I’ve taken a script, Emma, finally starting work."
"What kind of script?"
"A romance script. Initially, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to take it. After last night’s incident, I can’t terminate the contract now, so I had Sunny help me pick it up."
Renee Anderson is now the Director at Celestial Entertainment. They work in close proximity, so they’re bound to run into each other.
The best way is to avoid certain people.
She’ll be off shooting the film anyway.
"I told Sister Sunny to inform the people at the company that I plan to focus on this film. I won’t be taking any other work for the time being, and ask them not to schedule anything for me." This is also to prevent Renee from arranging her schedule and creating interactions.
Enna Clark didn’t expect her, usually carefree, to be so decisive in solving problems at the root when crucial, and she also relaxed, cracking a smile, "That’s the best. As long as you two don’t come into contact, even if there are minor tricks, she won’t find you. As for Young Master Sinclair, I believe he can handle things himself."
If Adam Sinclair can’t cut ties cleanly with Renee Anderson, then he doesn’t deserve to continue being with Olivia.
She’d rather see Olivia with August Oliver than speak for him anymore.
"Forget it, let’s not talk about this. By the way, Enna, how’s your family’s Old Master doing lately, is he better?" She had just dropped off fruit with the Housekeeper earlier, and only saw Old Master Lawrence from a distance. She wasn’t sure about his condition.
