Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2529 - 2538: Still Human?

Chapter 2529: Chapter 2538: Still Human?

"Over twenty years ago, you murdered Enna’s biological mother, Samantha Lewis, the long-lost daughter of the Habsden Family. The only reason was that after she found out you deceived her, she refused to be your mistress and wanted to sever ties with you, so you bribed the medical staff and murdered her on the operating table."

Baron Lawrence looked at him with ice-cold eyes, as if frozen to the core, making Jacob Clark’s blood run cold.

"Do you think the Habsden Family never pursued you because they didn’t know about your ’good deeds’? Let me tell you, for so long, the only reason Old Madam Habsden didn’t pursue you for causing her only daughter’s death is that you once somewhat supported Enna Clark for a few years. Even if it was just a mouthful of food, at least back then you weren’t so cruel as to murder your own daughter."

Jacob Clark avoided his gaze, stiffened his neck, wanting to refute but was powerless to do so.

He knew well how he treated Enna Clark back then.

In the Clark Family, Jasmine Clark was the spoiled daughter, while Enna was just a shadow in the house, with even less presence than the servants.

People outside mostly only knew he had one daughter, Jasmine, and very few knew about Enna.

To him, Enna’s very existence was a stain; he never cared about her growth. Just like Baron Lawrence said, all these years he gave Enna nothing more than a bowl of food.

Baron Lawrence looked at him as if looking at a dead man, "Didn’t you say she never took care of you? Do you think the job you found abroad, and the house you lived in, were provided to you by whom? You did such vile, heinous things, yet you still expect her to support you so you can drive a fancy car and live in a mansion? Why should she?"

The phrase ’Why should she?’ pierced Jacob Clark so deeply that even his spine hunched a bit.

It wasn’t because of the security personnel holding him down, it was his own guilt, unable to answer this man’s sharp questions.

Discussion erupted all around because of Baron Lawrence’s words.

"My God, how can he have the nerve to come here? And still pose as the biological father. Is he even human?"

"His skin is so thick. I almost got fooled just now, thinking it was a drama of a daughter abandoning her disgraceful father after reaching success. Looking now, it’s shameless of this biological father to cling on."

"Yeah, I can hardly believe this world still has someone this shameless."

"I remember reading in the newspapers before, there was something about a murder case mentioned, and even an old nurse from the Linton City Hospital testified, and there were recordings taken. With such ironclad evidence, people forgave him to an extent, yet he still dares to come and make a scene. His skin is thicker than the city walls!"

Juliet Jordan couldn’t lift her head at all, shrinking and clutching her head to block her ears.

She no longer resembled even a trace of Linton City’s noble madam but looked more like a fallen peasant woman, disheveled.

The disdainful gazes from all directions almost undressed her; she could hear those whispering voices continuously reaching her ears.

She didn’t want to listen, but she was powerless.

Those voices seemed to have legs, frantically pushing into her ears.

Help!

Someone, please save her!

Juliet Jordan was full of panic, dizzy and about to faint.

Jacob Clark still forced himself to stand, gritting his teeth, saying, "I am her biological father, I gave birth to her, I can treat her any way I want. As a daughter, treating me like this is simply wrong, no matter what you say, she shouldn’t treat me like this!"
