Chapter 2506 - 2515: Wait Until He Comes Back
Chapter 2506: Chapter 2515: Wait Until He Comes Back
In the darkness, the proud man gestured to the others to stop and walked aside with his phone, "What’s wrong?"
"I can’t quite say, it’s just that she feels off. She’s been absent-minded all evening, not sure what she’s thinking about, like she’s worried." Bobby spoke clearly, making it hard to believe he’s only a bit over 9 years old, "I remember my woman seemed to play ball with Grandpa this morning, did Grandpa say something to her?"
I have to admit, sometimes a child’s intuition is as accurate as a woman’s sixth sense.
"What do you think was said?" The man’s voice carried the coolness of the night, not sounding anxious or rushed.
Bobby pressed his lips together, lowered his eyes, and thought for a moment, "Grandpa must have told my woman about the time I was nearly kidnapped."
Because earlier today when Enna saw the birthday gift, she lost it and hugged him tightly for a long time.
Baron Lawrence’s eyes flickered, he agreed with Bobby’s thoughts, "I’ll be back soon, just wait another day."
Bobby was a bit dissatisfied with his solution, "I feel like Grandpa told Enna more than just about the kidnapping. Are you hiding something from me?"
"No." Baron Lawrence didn’t wait for him to press further, dominating the conversation, "Even if there is, you’re too young to need to know!"
Bobby hated being called young, he immediately retorted, "I’m already ten years old!"
"If you’re not 18, you’re still a minor!" Baron Lawrence calmly replied.
Bobby clenched his phone, even though he was smart, he couldn’t argue with that fact. After a while, he grudgingly said, "Anyway, I think Enna’s not doing well, you’d better come back soon. If you don’t, I won’t care anymore."
"When have you ever not cared about Enna?" Baron Lawrence wouldn’t accept threats.
Bobby was at a loss for words, completely seen through. He couldn’t really be mad at his woman, so he hung up the phone angrily.
It didn’t matter if the Dubious Man next door didn’t come back quickly, if he didn’t, his woman would run off with someone, and it wouldn’t be his problem.
He stomped back to the living room, played a game, still felt irritable, tossed aside the phone, and paced back and forth in the living room for a while. After much contemplation, he went back, picked up his phone from the sofa, found the contacts, and dialed a number.
"Hello, Auntie Olivia, it’s me, Bobby. It’s like this..."
...
Enna wasn’t sleeping well, she was woken up by the noise outside halfway through.
She rubbed her throbbing temples, sat up from the bed, and took a moment to fully wake up.
It was still noisy outside, so Enna got out of bed and pulled open the door.
The lights outside were bright.
Bobby and Olivia Lewis each occupied a sofa, holding controllers and playing excitedly.
"Bobby, the left."
"Got it."
On the huge blue LED LCD screen in the living room, two 3D characters with guns were engaged in an intense fight. The two were engrossed, not noticing Enna had woken up and come out.
It was Scott Harris who noticed Enna, seeing her looking haggard, he quickly offered a glass of water, "Young Madam, you’re up? So early?"
"Yes." Enna took the glass, took a sip to soothe her sore throat from a night of nightmares, and smiled at Scott Harris, "Thank you."
"This is what I should do. Young Madam, just hand me the glass." Scott Harris took the glass and went to the kitchen to put it away.
The other two in the living room finally heard the commotion. Olivia Lewis put down the controller and immediately latched onto her shoulder, saying, "Enna, you’re finally awake. Bobby and I planned to go to the Water Park today, come on, join us."
