Chapter 2395 - 2404: Taking Her Somewhere to Cheer Her Up
Chapter 2395: Chapter 2404: Taking Her Somewhere to Cheer Her Up
"But at least I don’t have to see her. Out of sight, out of mind!"
For Miranda, not being able to live a glamorous life, not being able to squeeze into high society, and being stuck in the tiny place of Linton City, living like an ordinary person, was already a living hell for her.
Moreover, as Miranda mentioned, her dad was a gambler, and Michelle Lewis was lying in the Hospital.
She wanted Miranda to experience the hardships she had gone through. She wanted to see if, after going through a tough life, Miranda could still confidently say that what Michelle did was right, and that she should be grateful to Michelle for meeting Baron Lawrence.
She was lucky to have met Baron Lawrence.
But at the beginning, before she even liked this man, even when she discovered she was pregnant, she never thought of making this man take responsibility.
Back then, all she wanted was to save Bobby, to give birth to the child herself, and raise Bobby well.
Afterward, she would live with her Bobby.
When Bobby grew up and found a wife, she’d help take care of the grandchildren, and that would be her life...
She never expected that after returning to the country, she would meet Baron Lawrence again, and then... things spiraled out of control!
Enna Clark suddenly felt a bit weary, whether seeing Miranda breaking down, screaming her name, asking for help, or seeing the scattered photos on the ground. She suddenly felt a bit exhausted.
She couldn’t understand what people like Miranda were thinking. Why couldn’t she just live her own life? Why go through so much trouble, to the point where she didn’t even know she got pregnant, and ended up losing the child.
If it were her, she’d never do what Miranda did.
All of Baron Lawrence’s attention was on her, and every change in Enna Clark’s mood fell into his eyes. His eyes flashed with a tinge of pain, wishing he could tear Miranda apart. But since Enna Clark had said so, he had to endure it, pursing his thin lips, saying, "Enna Clark, let’s go, I’ll take you somewhere. Leave this to Scott Harris."
"Where to?"
"A place that will make you feel better."
He stopped halfway, grabbed Enna Clark, and started walking.
Enna Clark stumbled as he dragged her out, pulling her all the way out of the hotel.
"Get in the car." He opened the Bentley’s door and said to Enna Clark.
Enna Clark was pushed and pulled into the car, sitting in the passenger seat. He stretched his long legs, walked to the other side, and got into the car.
"Screech..." The Bentley’s tires screeched against the ground, making an ear-piercing sound as the car shot out like an arrow from a bow.
He was driving as fast as a racing car, the scenery on either side whizzing by quickly. Enna Clark called out to him numerous times to slow down, but he seemed not to hear, driving at breakneck speed, stopping in front of the detention center.
With a screeching brake sound, the car fish-tailed and finally came to a stop.
Enna Clark almost got sick from it.
As soon as the car stopped, she quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, opened the car door, and bent over to retch by the grass on the side.
"Enna Clark..." Baron Lawrence got out of the car as well, striding towards her. Seeing her pale face and the tears from her dry heaving, he felt a tinge of regret, but he wasn’t the type to show it, so he pursed his lips and said, "I was already driving slow."
