Chapter 1793: Chapter 1783: One Day Will Fully Accept Ms. Clark
He initially wanted to say a few words, but when he saw the determined look on the person’s face opposite him, he swallowed his words.
Forget it.
Children and grandchildren have their own blessings.
His whole life he hadn’t captured the person he liked, so how could he teach others how to grasp love?
In love, he was utterly defeated.
If back then he could’ve been a bit more stubborn like Baron, that person might not have died so early from illness.
Sometimes being a bit stubborn isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Old Master Lawrence had a nostalgic look in his eyes. After talking for a while, a tired expression appeared on his face. He didn’t continue further and said, "Alright, I asked you to come just to have you visit the Goldsmith Family. Keep an eye on the time tonight and head over. I’m almost ready to rest; you may leave now."
Baron Lawrence stood up, his 185cm frame standing like a solitary crane, giving a strong sense of presence. He glanced at Old Master Lawrence and nodded, saying, "Then I’ll be leaving first. You have a good rest."
"Go on," Old Master Lawrence waved his hand, leaning his head against the sofa.
Baron Lawrence took one last look at him and turned around to leave.
The Housekeeper accompanied him to the door.
He paused and asked, "Where is the doctor treating the old man?"
The Housekeeper knew he would ask this and, smiling, said, "Young Master, the specialists are in the doctors’ office on the sixth floor."
"Okay." Baron Lawrence responded, not mentioning if he would visit, and told him, "You may go back inside."
Then, he stretched his long legs and walked towards the direction of the doctors’ office—
The Housekeeper watched him walk away before turning back into the ward. He bent down respectfully to the elder sitting on the sofa with his eyes closed, saying, "Lord, Young Master went to ask the doctors about your condition."
He said with a smile, "Even though the Young Master didn’t ask a single question earlier, he actually cares a lot about you; he just doesn’t really know how to express it, still like when he was a child. But the little Young Master is different; he’s very eloquent and emotionally intelligent, probably inherited from Ms. Clark."
He proactively mentioned Bobby, and indeed, the stern outline of the elder sitting on the sofa softened a bit.
The Housekeeper continued, "Ms. Clark is really good at educating children; the little Young Master has been taught very well by her. And the little Miss is also so well-behaved that she melts people’s hearts."
Old Master Lawrence opened his eyes, glanced at him with a hint of reproach and said with a stern face, "Alright, I know what you want to say."
He sat up and spoke unhurriedly, "I said back then that as long as she passed my test, I would reconsider her relationship with Baron. Since she completed it beautifully within my specified time. I will keep my word; I will not completely reject her. But whether the two can be together depends on more than just my approval. If it really comes to needing my consent, I will consider it."
The Housekeeper’s heart settled. Since the Lord said this, it meant he wouldn’t form a negative impression of Ms. Clark because of the recent news. He smiled and said, "You will like Ms. Clark; her personality is truly wonderful, even I like Ms. Clark."
"But she indeed isn’t the most suitable choice for Baron," Old Master Lawrence still insisted.
The Housekeeper stopped defending.
He knew that the Lord was already deep in thought, and as long as he was willing to consider Ms. Clark, with such a clever little Young Master and an obedient little Miss, plus Ms. Clark being such a good person. Sooner or later, the Lord would completely accept Ms. Clark!
