Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Targeting You (Seeking Recommendation Votes, So Few)
A group led by Ma San burst into laughter upon hearing what Lin Xi said.
Initially, he thought Lin Xi was extraordinary and felt it best not to provoke him without knowing his background and identity.
But now, since the man himself was being so provocative, Ma San felt that he had gone too far!
"You’ve made me unhappy, so don’t expect to have an easy time!" Lin Xi’s face turned cold. If he weren’t around, both the people in the pharmacy and Xiang Juan might be in trouble.
After all, in his heart, Xiang Juan was already considered one of his people.
"Oh? Then I’m curious to hear how you intend to make us unhappy?" Ma San studied Lin Xi thoroughly again but found no difference between him and an ordinary person aside from the designer clothes.
He lacked the air typically cultivated by the offspring of officials or wealthy families. Was he scaring himself for nothing? Ma San couldn’t help but think.
"It’s rather simple, but you sure you want to hear it?" Lin Xi hesitated to make a move, worried about damaging items in the pharmacy, so he suggested,
"Alright, I’ll give you a chance."
"Kneel down right now and apologize, admit your mistake, and vow never to come and cause trouble again, and I’ll let you off."
At this point, Ma San’s followers couldn’t hold back any longer and wanted to step forward to teach Lin Xi a lesson, but surprisingly, Ma San raised his hand to stop them, saying,
"I’ll give you one chance too. Leave immediately, swear to avoid us in the future whenever you see us!"
Although Lin Xi seemed merely dressed in fine clothes, Ma San, having mixed in the underworld for so long, still sensed something wasn’t quite right.
However, he wasn’t someone to be trifled with, and the forces backing him were not to be offended by ordinary people. If Lin Xi continued to be oblivious, Ma San wouldn’t be courteous.
"Heh heh!"
Lin Xi let out a cold laugh without responding and instead stepped forward, stopping just half a meter from Ma San.
"Preparing to apologize?" Ma San’s face was equally stern, but Lin Xi’s look and movements gave him a bad feeling.
Sure enough, his instincts were right.
Lin Xi didn’t apologize or admit any mistake; instead, he thrust a punch forward, his fist rapidly enlarging before Ma San could react.
"Bam!"
Everything went black as if struck by a heavy object, Ma San staggered backward, falling to the ground three meters away.
"Damn!" Ma San shouted angrily.
Lin Xi’s punch had landed squarely on his nose, not only causing pain but also nearly bringing tears to his eyes.
The group of thugs was stunned, not having anticipated this turn of events.
Who was Ma San?
He was a well-known gang leader in this area.
Despite his low rank, he was seasoned in his dealings, and most people wouldn’t dare offend him in the least.
Now a young guy, without a word, had punched Ma San right in front of his followers’ eyes.
Was he not courting death?
The gang members couldn’t help but sweat coldly for Lin Xi.
"Damn it, I got hit. What are you standing there for? Get him for me!" Ma San covered his face with one hand and propped himself up with the other.
Hearing this, the gang members thought, with their leader being hit in front of them, it was a matter of pride and seriousness.
So, they got angry too.
"Get him!"
After someone shouted, they rushed toward Lin Xi.
Lin Xi sneered at Ma San, grabbed the foremost thug, and tossed him out of the store.
The gang members, startled, didn’t immediately make a move but instead surrounded Lin Xi.
At this moment, everyone, including Xiang Juan, thought Lin Xi was doomed, even the thug initially thrown out thought so while lying on the ground.
But before anyone could blink, thugs were being thrown out of the store one after another by Lin Xi. They hit the ground, almost questioning their own existence from the pain.
From Xiang Juan and Ma San’s perspectives, Lin Xi was like a wolf among sheep; no one was a match for him.
Even as the group swarmed at him, in just a few seconds, more than half of the seven or eight thugs were down.
The remaining thugs were nearly petrified with fear, having never seen anyone this formidable!
So, they immediately backed away, intimidated.
Unfortunately for them, Lin Xi didn’t let them off but continued to toss each one out of the store, with some landing on those already lying outside, causing fresh wailing.
Ma San stood dumbfounded, chaos swirling around him in the store.
Now only three people remained in the pharmacy: himself, Lin Xi, and Xiang Juan.
"Over here!" Lin Xi clapped his hands and tidied his clothes.
"Are you planning to lie outside until the new year? Get over here!" Ma San shouted outside, then turned to Lin Xi with a submissive demeanor, "Brother, please wait a moment. I’ll have these oblivious idiots come to apologize immediately."
"Playing dumb, are we?" Lin Xi snorted coldly.
Ma San shivered, recalling the painful punch on his nose and thinking about his men sprawled outside, his fear grew.
Hastily, he scampered over to Lin Xi, enduring the pain with a forced smile, "Brother, just say the word if you need anything."
"Apologize to Xiang Juan, then get out!" Lin Xi originally intended to further punish him, but seeing how shameless Ma San acted, he couldn’t be bothered.
Ma San didn’t hesitate in the slightest, bowing deeply and apologizing to Xiang Juan behind Lin Xi, making excuses that he had no choice and was pressured from above.
Xiang Juan remained silent, and Ma San then turned to Lin Xi, "Brother, I’ll be leaving now!"
With that, he spun around to leave, not waiting for Lin Xi’s response, eager to escape.
"Stop!" Lin Xi furrowed his brow, calling out.
Ma San’s body trembled, turning back with a pained expression, "Brother, is there anything else?"
"Already forgotten what I just said?" Lin Xi calmly retorted.
"But I did apologize!" Ma San wore a puzzled look.
"I said roll out!" Lin Xi sternly reiterated, growing slightly impatient.
"Uh..." Ma San glanced at the exit, imploring, "Brother, I truly regret my actions."
Lin Xi didn’t reply but stepped forward.
"Brother, don’t get mad. I’m rolling, I’m rolling right away!" Ma San said urgently, forgoing his dignity. Comparing a beating or getting tossed out, pride was worth nothing.
From Xiang Juan and the thugs outside’s perspective, they saw Ma San prostrate on the ground, rolling towards the door like a rolling pin.
After they left, Xiang Juan quickly approached Lin Xi, reaching out.
Lin Xi stepped back in surprise, placing his hand on her forehead, asking, "Do you have a fever?"
"Nonsense!" Xiang Juan moved Lin Xi’s hand aside, saying, "I just wanted to see if you were hurt, being up against so many people!"
"Also, why are your muscles so hard?"
Lin Xi paused, then grinned and replied, "I’m in good shape."
