This year, Zhou Cheng just graduated and went straight into the city hospital, becoming a regular attending physician.
It wasn’t because his medical skills were outstanding, but because he had a good uncle who was the vice president.
Of course, the work was easy, the cases he was responsible for weren’t difficult, and most importantly, he was earning a high salary—a really sweet deal.
Even doctors who have been at the hospital for years are envious of this.
Unfortunately, even such an easy job was messed up by him last week, and he almost turned a minor case into a critical one.
At first, his uncle wanted to use money to suppress the incident, but unfortunately, the patient wasn’t short of money and had quite a background, and they took the matter straight to the director.
In the end, there was no choice; his uncle managed only to keep him in the worst ward, primarily responsible for this batch of patients.

"That old fossil, if he’s got the balls, let him fire me!" Zhou Cheng sat in the duty room, cursing in great displeasure.
Ever since the incident, he noticed the hospital staff were looking at him strangely, and he secretly directed all his resentment towards the director.
Just then, he saw flashing lights and got a burst of anger!
"What’s all the noise, everyone quiet down!" Zhou Cheng shouted loudly as he entered the general ward, thinking these people were like beggars, poor, smelly, and noisy.
Of course, he wouldn’t say this out loud.
"Who just pressed it? Stand up for me!" Zhou Cheng said impatiently.
"Doctor, I, I..." Gu Lan didn’t know what to say, but she couldn’t let her daughter’s classmate bear the brunt of this obviously ill-tempered doctor’s anger.
"What’s your business?" Zhou Cheng walked over with large strides, as if he suddenly remembered something, immediately darkened his face and asked, "Have you paid?"
He was the doctor with the rapid speech who came and went during Gu Xiaoxian’s first visit to the ward, seemingly not wanting to stay a second longer.
Gu Lan showed an awkward expression, but Gu Xiaoxian, standing by her side, timidly said, "Th-that... doctor, I’ll go pay in a bit!"

With rage nearly exploding, Zhou Cheng just then noticed Gu Xiaoxian. His eyes lit up, and most of his anger dissipated instantly, as his tone changed, becoming much gentler,
"Well, you better hurry up, what if delaying it worsens the condition?"
"Oh, alright..." Gu Xiaoxian nodded, looking down at Lin Xi, who was still crouching down to check the wound, since the money was with him.
It was then that Zhou Cheng noticed someone was handling Gu Lan’s bandaged area.
"What are you doing!!!" Zhou Cheng approached Lin Xi, not at all gentle like with Gu Xiaoxian, angrily rushing forward to grab Lin Xi, while shouting,
"Stop! Can you handle this?"
But Lin Xi stood up at this point and turned to Zhou Cheng.
This person wasn’t tall, about 165 cm, slightly overweight, wearing glasses. If not for having a mean-looking face, he might come across as a friendly chubby guy.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t be a good person!
"If the wound gets infected or worsened, you responsible?" Zhou Cheng, with a belly full of anger, vented on Lin Xi, continuing to shout,
"And who are you? A family member?"
Lin Xi remained silent, his face cold, instead stepping closer, looking down, "Who did this bandaging?"
"I did the bandaging!" Zhou Cheng was stunned, not understanding why this person suddenly asked such a question.
But he was a bit flustered internally, wondering if this was going to get physical; after all, Lin Xi was much taller than him!
But then he remembered this was his turf, and he plucked up his courage again, glaring angrily at Lin Xi.
