Chapter 5182: Gilded! II
Chapter 5182: Gilded! II
He recognized that this was likely the contact Ubergulden Adelheid had sent to facilitate his passage, and he noted with interest that even as she searched, she was masking her own power and presence with a degree of sophistication that suggested she did not want her presence in this region to be noted by the other sisters of THE Magna Sorora.
He felt her aura pass through the very region where he sat upon his floating debris, yet even as the searchlight of her perception swept over his coordinates, she did not sense him at all, her gaze continuing to move across the horizon without finding the target she had been dispatched to retrieve.
Noah smiled brilliantly within the quietude of his own mind because he truly enjoyed the sensation of a Sororis being unable to perceive him even when he was sitting directly before her, and he found the absolute effectiveness of the Humilitas Ego to be a glorious validation of his recent engineering.
He decided that he had seen enough of her capacity, and he made the deliberate intention to allow his aura and his being to be perceived by her perception alone, allowing his presence to bleed back into the observable from the state of total invisibility.
HUUM!
He became visible to her perception in a single instant of reappearing light, and the response from the Gilded visitor was immediate as she looked over in his direction and took a single step that warped the space between them!
WU!
She appeared in front of Noah right away, her figure manifesting with the sudden and heavy weight of a mountain of compressed authority, and this ally of Ubergulden Adelheid looked at him up and down with a cold and judgmental focus!
Noah remained seated with a calm smile, his Humilitas Ego projecting a quality of serene and unassuming depth as he mirrored her actions by looking her over in return, noting that her attire was a grand display of sovereign elegance that surpassed even the regal presentation of Elzyana.
She was adorned in an exquisite golden sari of draped silk that flowed around her form like a river of molten sunlight, and her existence was further embellished with vibrant accessories of heavy necklaces and radiant jewels that chimed with a subtle and dangerous resonance.
Her power felt even heavier than that of Sororis Prima Elzyana, suggesting a standing within the Sisterhood that commanded a terrifying degree of respect, and she stood before him with the posture of a ruler who found the current environment to be beneath her station.
In the next moment, she broke the silence with a voice that was as cold as the void between the realms, introducing herself with a cadence that allowed for no ambiguity.
"I am Maharanis Prabhavati, or in the terminology of THE Magna Sorora that you might be more familiar with, Sororis Prima Prabhavati."
Noah looked at her with his unique and humble disposition, his eyes reflecting a quiet curiosity that held no trace of the tyrannical pride he usually broadcasted to his enemies.
"I am Osmont, THE Weaver of Existence, and I find myself wondering...why you choose to carry the two distinctions of Maharanis and Sororis."
Sororis Prima Prabhavati looked at him coldly, and she answered him with a clinical and detached explanation.
"I am Maharanis because I belong to a distinguished and ancient house within THE Braneworld Observable Existence, a standing that is similar to the one held by Ubergulden Adelheid who stems from the lineage of the Ubergulden house, but I am also Sororis because my identity as a sister of THE Magna Sorora is equally important to the architecture of my life."
WAA!
"I have come to this desolate region and searched for you specifically to see exactly what kind of Bounded Lifeform would be capable of convincing my childhood friend to risk her very life and the status of her house, for I have been asking myself if you would be some unfathomably handsome existence or perhaps a being who had gained an incredible degree of power to make you stand out among the dross. Yet as I look at you now...I sense nothing of value, for I do not even perceive the weavings of power that should accompany a being of your supposed significance."
She stepped closer, the radiant jewels around her neck pulsing with a dim and threatening light that mirrored the rising tension in her gaze.
"Do you truly know the position she holds and do you comprehend what all of this clandestine maneuvering means for her if the truth were to be discovered by THE Gilded houses? Do you understand the certain death that will be granted to her if you were to be found out, and do you realize that... I should likely just kill you right now to end her problems early before your insignificance causes her ultimate ruin?"
BOOM!
Noah let out a soft and melodic laugh that carried the gentle weight of a stream flowing over smooth stones, his eyes remaining entirely calm even as the killing intent from the Sororis pressed against the local space.
He looked at her with a laid back expression that seemed entirely at odds with the gravity of her threat, for his current state of Humilitas allowed him to view the prospect of his own demise with a serenity that bordered on the absolute.
"I find myself genuinely curious whether a Sororis of your standing possesses the capacity to erase a being such as myself from the weavings of existence, though I think we shall not find the answer to that question today because you have made a promise to your childhood friend. Rather than wasting our time with threats of a death that would only serve to break poor Ubergulden Adelheid’s heart, tell me more about the grand arrangement of your kind, for I watched hundreds of Gilded Ones descend upon Observable Existence only moments ago and saw the arrogant manner in which the Superbius issued their commands to the rest of the host. Are THE Gilded truly so divided in their standing?"
Sororis Prima Prabhavati adjusted the golden silk of her sari, her radiant jewels pulsing with a soft and haughty light as she looked down at him.
To her, the questions he asked were so fundamental that the mere fact he needed them answered was a testament to the primitive nature of his origins!
"It is not a matter of division in the sense of a flaw, but rather a masterpiece of absolute order that ensures the stability of many Observable Existences through the glorious right of the Superbius Houses. For we are the sovereign planners and the faces of civilization who have been engineered with the most refined Pride to lead."
BOOM!
"Beneath our guidance, the Ira serve as our glorious and unyielding blades while the Avaritia maintain the archives of our wisdom and the wealth of our reach, and the Invidia watch for any deviation from this perfect harmony to ensure that no discord ever disrupts the beauty of our arrangement."
...!
"Even the lower tiers find their truest purpose within this hierarchy, as the Acedia remain as the immovable anchors of our infrastructure while the Gula and Luxuria find their truest fulfillment in providing the labor and the pleasure that allow the higher designations to focus on the governance of Existence and war against THE Relictus. To a Bounded mind like yours, it may appear as a cold stratification, but in truth, it is the highest form of compassion to grant every being a designation that perfectly matches their engineered essence, for what could be more merciful than ensuring a Luxuria never has to suffer the burden of a decision she was never meant to make while she basks in the reflected glory of the Superbius she serves?"
