Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 5066: Anchored And Bound! I

Chapter 5066: Anchored And Bound! I

As Beowulf was pushed back with a heavy injury, Noah moved with unfathomable momentum that his newly transformed hand granted him.

The Primordial Architect was reeling, that diagonal wound across his chest exposing wriggling internal physiology that should never have been revealed to anyone at THE First Scale. His armored form attempted to create distance, to establish the space necessary to recover and reassess this confrontation that had shifted so dramatically against his expectations.

Noah did not permit distance.

He threw his Spear of Civilization upward with motion that carried the full force of THE Hadean Hand of Infinite Grasp behind it. The crystalline weapon rose above the destroyed battlefield, above the space where multicolored seas had once spread as far as anyone could see, above everything that remained in this devastated region of THE Wastes.

The light of Quintessence Infiniforce shone upon the ascending spear with brilliance that painted the suspended rain droplets in hues of endless authority!

Civilization Ability Activated: Spear Multiplication.

Quintessence Infiniforce channeling through THE Hadean Spear of Civilization.

Illusory constructs forming.

Instantly, eight illusory Spears of Civilization materialized around the original weapon. They emerged from the Quintessence Infiniforce like reflections given substance, each one identical to the crystalline Kontos that had deflected Proterozoic attacks and shattered a Second Scale weapon. Nine spears now hung in the air above Beowulf’s wounded form, their multicolored brilliance declaring intention that could not be mistaken.

Waves of golden Observable force wrapped around each weapon.

The eight illusory spears oriented themselves toward Beowulf’s extremities with precision that permitted no evasion. They descended simultaneously, piercing through armored limbs with force that pinned the massive Primordial Architect in ways he could not escape. Two spears through each arm. Two spears through each leg. Eight points of anchorage that held his titanic form suspended in the destroyed air.

The main Spear of Civilization, the original weapon containing the full force of THE Infiniverse multiplied and raised by exponents that defied calculation, descended toward Beowulf’s head.

It pierced through his armored helm with sound that echoed across the remaining light years of battlefield.

CRACK!

"FUCKEEER!"

Beowulf roared with voice that emerged for only the second time since their genuine combat began.

His body became suspended in the air, held aloft by nine spears that channeled forces he could not overcome despite every aspect of his Second Scale existence straining against them. His massive armored form hung there like a specimen prepared for examination, like something that had been captured rather than defeated, like prey that had finally been brought down by a predator it had underestimated.

Target Status: Beowulf, THE Primordial Armor.

Condition: Anchored.

Anchoring Force: Boundless flow of Quintessence Infiniforce, Infinity, and concentrated Observable Force channeling through nine Spears of Civilization.

Target Resistance: Active. Subject is fighting against anchoring with full Second Scale authority.

Assessment: Resistance insufficient. So long as the Spears of Civilization continue to channel their deluge of forces, target will remain anchored.

Estimated duration of effective anchoring: Indefinite under current parameters.

...!

Noah moved after confirming the anchoring was secure.

His small figure, insignificant compared to the massive Primordial Architect suspended before him, flew across the distance separating them with speed that his transformed existence now permitted. He approached Beowulf’s chest, that torn expanse of armor revealing the wriggling physiology beneath, and came to land upon it as if standing upon conquered territory.

He stood on the wound he had inflicted.

His gaze was grand and tyrannical as he looked down at the armored head struggling against the spear that had pierced through it. Beowulf’s invisible eyes, hidden behind that helm, burned with fury that pressed against everything within range despite his immobilized state. The Primordial Architect was not broken. He was merely held.

But being held was enough.

Noah turned to look into the distance where Alexander had been waiting.

He waved his hand with a casual gesture that belied the significance of what he was permitting.

Alexander flew across the destroyed battlefield. His figure crossed the light years separating him from the anchored Primordial Architect in moments, his green robes trailing behind him as the Enneagram upon his chest spun with all nine gems blazing. He did not slow as he approached.

He smashed onto the chest of Beowulf beside Noah.

BOOM!

His gaze was chilly and cold as he looked at Beowulf and then at his companion, at the one who had made this moment possible through confrontation that should not have succeeded.

"Thank you."

The words emerged simple and sincere.

Noah nodded in acknowledgment before stepping back slightly, ceding the space to someone who had earned what was about to occur.

Alexander turned to look at Beowulf.

The Primordial Architect’s armored form continued straining against the nine spears anchoring him in place. His massive limbs pulled against the illusory weapons piercing them, his head twisted against the crystalline spear that had penetrated his helm, his entire existence fought against the imprisonment that had been imposed upon him.

None of it accomplished anything.

"I was impatient, so I asked for help."

Alexander’s voice emerged measured and cold, the tone of someone who had made peace with what they were about to do long before arriving at this moment.

"While I will not have a grand battle with you, I can come in at the end to allow you to feel what I felt."

White gloves appeared upon Alexander’s hands, materializing from authority that seemed designed specifically for this purpose. The material was pristine and clinical, the kind of covering one might wear when performing surgery rather than torture. His fingers flexed within those gloves as he looked down at the torn chest beneath him, at the wriggling internal physiology that had been exposed by Noah’s earlier strike.

Noah watched as Alexander reached into that wound.

His gloved hands pressed past the parted armor, past the animate metal that tried to resist his intrusion, past every defense that Beowulf’s existence could muster against what was occurring. Alexander’s fingers found something within that wriggling physiology, grasped it with precision.

Alexander has activated unknown ability.

Effect: Existential Nociceptor visualization.

This ability should only be accessible to Second Scale entities.

Analysis: Alexander’s Enneagram is providing elevated perception despite First Scale classification.

Alexander’s Enneagram began to spin faster, all nine gems blazing with multicolored light that pressed outward from his chest. His hands became covered with that same multicolored brilliance, authority flowing through his fingers into the depths of Beowulf’s existence as they held glimmers of Noah’s Quintessence Infiniforce.

Something...began to rise from within the Primordial Architect!
