Chapter 4969: Unity I
Chapter 4969: Unity I
What Abaddon felt was a moment of impact that pushed everything away.
And then everything went white.
Pure white.
To the point that he could not see anything else but white. No obsidian rivers of chaos. No flickering entropy. No probability spaces bending to his will. Just endless, perfect, serene whiteness that stretched in every direction without boundary or definition.
For the first time in eons beyond counting, THE Primordial Chaos felt himself floating in something that held no chaos at all.
He looked around, his form turning in the blankness as he searched for something, anything, that could orient him within this space. His hands rose before his face, and they were still his hands. His existence still felt like his existence. But the surroundings held nothing that his chaos could grasp or influence or understand.
"What...happened?"
His voice emerged into the whiteness and was swallowed without echo.
Behind him, footsteps approached with rhythm that felt familiar even though he could not immediately place why.
"You went out there for a second."
The voice belonged to someone he knew. Someone he trusted. Someone whose presence made the whiteness feel less empty and more like a space meant for rest rather than confusion.
"Are you okay?"
THE Secretive Eon came into view with smile that held warmth exceeding anything Abaddon had expected. Her features were kind. Her eyes held concern that seemed genuine. She moved toward him with grace that spoke of care rather than threat.
She helped him up.
He took her hand naturally, as if he had taken it many times before, as if this gesture was as familiar as breathing. Her palm was warm against his. Her grip was supportive without being controlling. She steadied him as he found his footing in the white expanse.
Abaddon scratched his head with his free hand, trying to recall what had brought him here.
"I could have sworn I was doing something critical. I just cannot remember what."
His brow furrowed with concentration that produced nothing but fog.
"Something with chaos. Something with unity."
The memories were there, he was certain of it. They lurked just beyond the edges of his awareness like shapes glimpsed through thick mist. He had been angry about something. He had been determined about something. He had been moving toward confrontation with purpose that had consumed his entire existence.
But the details refused to solidify.
His mind was foggy as if there was something clouding everything.
Luckily, THE Secretive Eon was here.
She nodded with understanding that suggested she had seen this confusion before, had helped others through similar moments of disorientation, had guided beings back to clarity when their own minds failed them.
But on her forehead, one could see beads of sweat as if...she was doing something that required a lot of exertion right now. As if she was lifting a lot of weight, and had to proceed carefully.
"You delved too much into chaos."
Her voice was soothing.
"We have so many paths before us, and if we focus on a single one, it can sometimes cause issues. But with chaos, many more things that weren’t possible before now have countless possibilities lying out before them."
She squeezed his hand gently.
"And remember, you are not alone. We... are never alone."
...!
After she said this, the white blank space began to change.
Countless figures of beings rose up one after another from the whiteness itself. They emerged like flowers blooming in accelerated time, their forms taking shape with grace that spoke of belonging rather than intrusion. They surrounded THE Primordial Chaos and THE Secretive Eon in circles that expanded outward until the whiteness was filled with presences that felt like warmth rather than threat.
Abaddon recognized many of them.
Jotuun Lifeforms.
THE Living Quantum flickered with uncertainty that somehow felt stable. THE Living Dimensional stood with spatial authority that bent the white space around him into configurations that should not have been possible.
And there were others.
So many others.
Beings he had encountered across eons of existence. Beings whose Civilizations represented the breadth of what Observable Existence had produced since THE First Cause. All of them here. All of them present. All of them looking at him with eyes that held welcome rather than challenge.
Looking at them, THE Primordial Chaos couldn’t help but feel a sense of warmth.
He had been alone for so long.
So very, very long.
His chaos had always set him apart from others. His nature made connection difficult. His existence as one of THE Four, now THE Five, meant that peers were rare and true understanding was rarer still. He had walked through eons with power that exceeded most beings’ comprehension and loneliness that exceeded his power.
He forgot what it felt like to have others with him.
But now, surrounded by these figures, bathed in this warmth, he remembered.
Beside him, THE Secretive Eon hugged his hand with both of hers. She pressed against his arm with affection that felt like homecoming. Her smile held invitation that exceeded mere welcome.
"Share the burden of that chaos with the rest of us."
Her voice was soft but certain.
"All that possibility and potential. Let us unite it with all of these Civilizations that you can tap into yourself to see all the variations of existence."
...!
Abaddon nodded with bright eyes.
His chaos had always been missing something. He had known this for eons without being able to articulate what the absence was. His probability spaces had been vast but empty. His entropy had been powerful but purposeless. His potential had been endless but directionless.
This could be it.
Connection! Unity!
Purpose that came from belonging rather than isolation.
With such a thought, rivers of ordered chaos began flowing from THE Primordial Chaos!
The obsidian currents emerged from his existence with eagerness that surprised him. They wanted to connect. They wanted to share. They wanted to bridge the gap between his solitary vastness and the warmth that surrounded him. The rivers extended outward like endless streams, reaching toward every single unified being in this white space.
They connected rapidly.
One after another after another.
Each river found its target and established link that felt like completion rather than compromise. Each connection brought new awareness of Civilizations that he could now perceive from the inside rather than the outside. Each bridge opened paths that his chaos could flow through to touch existences that had been separate from his own.
If one were to look down from above, they would see an endless web of chaos flowing into a united cluster of beings!
