Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4948: Defector I

Chapter 4948: Defector I

The sensation was truly unlike any other.

It was like he was feeling something he already had, but it was now more defined. More understandable. The Infinite Mana that had always burned at his core hadn’t changed in quantity, but his perception of it had transformed entirely.

What had been a vast ocean without edges now revealed itself as an ocean with architecture, with depths that could be measured not against others but against the Boundaries of Infinity itself.

He had Infinite Mana, but now, it felt like there were levels to Infinite Mana!

Countable, Uncountable, and Absolute Infinities.

He thought about Countable Infinities first.

Noah raised his hand in his vibrant mindscape, the blue-gold light that surrounded him responding to his will with eagerness.

From his palm, a fireball erupted. Then another. Then another. Then another still. They flew outward in endless sequence, each one following the last in patterns that could be observed, that could be tracked, that could theoretically be listed: first fireball, second fireball, third fireball, onward forever.

This was Countable Infinity.

Endless, yes. Infinite, absolutely. But sequential. Ordered. Each expression following the previous one in progression that his consciousness could perceive. He could count them even if the counting would never end. First, second, third, fourth, thousandth, millionth, each one arriving after the one before it in patterns that existed within the First Boundary.

The fireballs continued erupting from his palm, filling his mindscape with endless light that demonstrated his current state perfectly. He understood now. He truly understood!

His Infinity wasn’t merely vast. It was vast in a specific way, a way that could be elevated, a way that could be densified until the spaces between each fireball filled with additional fireballs that couldn’t be listed.

But that was for later.

For now, he wanted to test what Countable Infinity could do in combat.

Or even more straightforwardly...

"RUINATION, let me have a spar with...Bazuman."

He said such words grandly, his voice carrying through his mindscape with authority that made the endless fireballs pause in their eruption. The request was simple. He wanted to understand what his new capabilities could do against an enemy he had already faced, an enemy whose power he had witnessed firsthand, an enemy who had required THE Primordial Paradox’s intervention to defeat.

|Understood.|

RUINATION’s response was immediate, her blue-gold form brightening as she began the requested simulation.

His mental space churned with violent intensity!

The seas of blue Infinity that comprised his mindscape rumbled and roiled with force that made the very fabric of his consciousness tremble. Waves of light crashed against each other as something began taking shape in the distance, something massive, something hungry, something that remembered what it was and carried that memory into manifestation with terrifying fidelity.

A figure of Bazuman formed before Noah’s eyes!

The round chthonian horror materialized with all its ferocity and display of power intact. Countless crimson eyes arranged in spiraling patterns blazed with hunger that exceeded physical appetite. Innumerable tentacles tipped with mouths of crystallized memory reached outward in every direction. The corrupted proto-matter that covered its surface churned with faces of consumed beings, echoes of everything this horror had ever devoured.

The stomach split open at its center, revealing the pocket dimension of pure undifferentiation that had nearly claimed Noah in THE Prima Indifferentia!

Gravitational pull erupted from the manifestation with force that would have dragged any conventional opponent toward eternal dissolution.

Whisper Echoes poured forth from Bazuman’s surface, faint impressions of consumed beings launching attacks in overwhelming numbers. Memory Echoes followed, stronger manifestations wielding authority from before THE Infinite Unfurling. The air itself groaned under the weight of accumulated existence that this Undivided One carried.

This Manifestation of Bazuman unleashed the same grand attacks toward Noah that the original had displayed in THE Agora!

Tentacles reached for him with mouths screaming hunger. Echoes launched Embodiments from methodologies lost to history. Its core pulled at his existence with suction that sought to consume everything he was. The pressure of Bazuman’s undifferentiation pressed against his mindscape with weight that would have crushed lesser beings into formlessness.

Noah stood perfectly still.

Then he spoke.

"Your hunger does not exist."

HUUM!

The words emerged from his lips not as simple declaration but as Geodesic Negation!

The negation didn’t travel toward Bazuman in a straight line. It curved, finding the shortest path through the fabric of his mindscape, following the natural geometry of existence to reach its target with efficiency that transcended conventional authority.

The curve was beautiful in its precision, arcing through the space between Noah and Bazuman along routes that existence itself preferred.

And when it arrived, it didn’t merely arrive once.

The negation struck Bazuman’s hunger and unmade it on its Surface, Intermediate, Fundamental, and Absolute Depths!

Because Noah had Countable infinities...for all his Depths, so he affected all the Depths of his enemy!

The gravitational pull of its core vanished as the hunger driving it ceased to exist. But unlike conventional Apophasis, the negation didn’t stop there. It extended infinitely along its geodesic path, continuing to curve through Bazuman’s existence, finding every instance of hunger that this Undivided One possessed.

The hunger tried to regenerate.

The negation found that regeneration and unmade it before it could complete.

The hunger attempted to manifest in different configurations, drawing upon echoes of consumed beings who had possessed their own forms of appetite.

The negation curved to find those adjacent configurations and unmade them as well.

Every expression of hunger that Bazuman possessed, every instance of appetite that drove its consumption, every configuration of desire that had accumulated across eons of devouring existence, the Geodesic Negation found them all along curved paths of minimal distance. And it unmade them!

Not once. Not twice. Infinitely. Sequentially! One negation following another following another in Countable progression that never ceased arriving!

Noah came to realize the terror of the capability that he had unlocked as casting a single ability...was effectively like casting infinite abilities!

So even though he didn’t do anything extra or additional, it was like he was constantly unleashing more and more Apophasis, which were Geodesic Negations in this case.

It was fucking disgusting!
