Chapter 4839: The Interstices II
Chapter 4839: The Interstices II
Noah felt it!
A heavy and glorious weight coalescing inside of him. The Absolute Everything took shape within his foundations, pure Civilizational Authority compressed into a form!
This was from just stepping into The Interstices.
From one wave of his hand. From cleaning up a single stretch of pathway that no one had bothered to maintain!
If he continued traveling to other areas of this place...
If he explored the full extent of these forgotten routes...
How many Absolute Everythings could he accumulate?
How much pure authority was waiting to be claimed in spaces that even most Absolutes didn’t know existed?
Noah looked at this space between definitions that he was in, his mind racing with possibilities. He wanted to explore. Wanted to travel every pathway. Wanted to cleanse every Corrupted Growth and claim every scrap of authority that had been accumulating here across eons.
He looked toward THE Mnemonic Leviathan, who had appeared beside him on the Primordial Gray pillar. Her reduced form floated serenely, those ancient eyes taking in the cleansed pathway with something that might have been mild interest.
"What if I want to spend a bit more time in this place and not cross it within an instant?"
If The Interstices compressed distance so dramatically, if a billion gigaparsecs became seconds, then how did one slow down? How did one linger in a place that was designed to be passed through?
Pebanista Yacuruna turned her ethereal gaze toward him.
"You can do so in your own time."
Her voice held the patience of ages.
"The Interstices are pathways where one moves by definition. We are defined here at this moment. You need a legible method through your Civilization to define us before your Primordial Realm."
She paused.
"And when we step out, we will be there."
...!
The nature of this unique entity remained the same even now.
She knew and explained everything. Yet she did nothing.
Noah didn’t want to push her too much. She had already agreed to slumber beneath THE Infiniverse, had already shared knowledge of The Interstices that even most Absolutes didn’t possess.
So at this moment, he simply created a sentence.
A Philology.
He put together Phonemes of The First Tongue, linguistic building blocks arranged into meaning that he imposed around them both. The words weren’t spoken aloud. They were simply declared, authority made manifest through the foundational language of reality itself.
A declaration!
|We are outside of my Infiniverse.|
HUUM!
It didn’t look like anything had changed when he said this.
The Primordial Gray pillars remained. The darkness between them remained. The pathway stretched out in both directions as if nothing had occurred.
But Pebanista Yacuruna spoke out at this moment.
"Entering this place is nearly impossible for many. But leaving it, or at least this region, is fairly easy. You simply make the intent or the definition that you are taking a step to leave."
...!
Noah nodded.
He understood.
The Interstices moved by definition. You defined where you were, and then you stepped out of being defined in one location and into being defined in another. The pathways themselves were just the space between those definitions.
He had defined them as being outside THE Infiniverse.
Now he just had to take a step.
Noah moved forward.
One step towards another pillar, and...
The glimmering allure of The Primary Veins faded around him, the Primordial Gray pillars dissolving like mist before morning sun. The darkness receded. The space between definitions released its hold on his existence.
And shockingly, he saw the flickering corrupted Wastes around him.
The twisted remnants of THE Fallout stretched out in all directions, corrupted existence folding back on itself in patterns that would drive lesser minds to madness. But directly before him, separated from the chaos by a barrier of concentrated authority...
The blue-gold barrier of a miniaturized Infiniverse.
His home.
One step to enter the space without definition.
A single intent to define themselves in another location.
And then one additional step.
He had crossed unfathomable depths in that short period of time, bringing back a heavy and ethereal entity to his abode.
THE Mnemonic Leviathan floated beside him, her reduced form taking in THE Infiniverse with ancient eyes that had seen more wonders than most beings could imagine.
"This will do."
Three words.
The highest praise she seemed capable of giving!
And with that, she began to drift toward the barrier, toward the Primordial Realm that would become her new slumbering ground!
The entry into THE Infiniverse for Pebanista Yacuruna was a simple one really.
THE Infinite Loom and its ever-changing barrier simply opened as Noah and she floated in. The concentrated authority that kept his home protected from the chaos of THE Fallout recognized his presence and parted without resistance, allowing the ancient entity passage into a realm that few had ever seen.
This was the first external entity he was bringing into his home.
And he did so without fear after measuring all possibilities.
The region he brought her to had surroundings shining crimson-gold, an earthen floor of Muspelheim forming down below to give off a sense of familiarity for her. The integration of the Primordial Realm was nearly complete now, and he could shape its essence however he wished within THE Infiniverse.
All around them, rivers of Dreams flowed in lazy spirals. Streams of Prana pulsed with life-giving energy. Currents of Avalon and Helios and many other components of THE Infiniverse floated through the air while holding Logos and Philologies that defined them.
And as she entered, Pebanista Yacuruna spoke.
"It is a pure and quiet place."
Her ancient voice held something that might have been approval.
"I will slumber and move around here so long as I am not bothered. I..."
She paused.
"Oh?"
The dolphin-like creature blinked, her ethereal form going still as she looked in front of Noah.
The visage of a humanoid manifestation was forming from the very essence of THE Infiniverse itself. A woman of blue-gold light, her features regal and stern, her presence radiating the weight of an entire Primordial Realm given consciousness.
Beside her, the figure of another blue-gold illusory manifestation formed.
RUINATION.
The two of them stared at Pebanista Yacuruna with eyes that held calculation and curiosity in equal measure.
THE Mnemonic Leviathan looked at them as if adding new information into her database, those ancient eyes flickering with recognition of something she had not expected.
"There are many oddities in Existence."
Her voice was contemplative.
"The Early Veiled Shore of THE Creature is simply that. It does not have a consciousness that can apply itself like so."
She paused, studying the manifestations before her.
"For you to have managed to do this with your Primordial Realm is... different."
...!
Out of everything THE Infiniverse could have been called, oddity was a unique one.
