Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4827: They Have Fallen! II

Chapter 4827: They Have Fallen! II

Chaos’ eyes blazed with coldness.

"THE Secretive Eon has fallen. THE Living Quantum has fallen. THE Living Dimensional has fallen. THE Living Temporal has fled across time itself, partially infected and possibly beyond salvation."

He looked at each of them in turn.

"None of you stand a chance of resisting this infection if it reaches you. I do not say this to diminish your power or your pride. I say this because it is truth. I am THE Primordial Chaos, and I could barely sense and resist. I could only flee. If THE Entity claims you, there will be no fighting back. There will be no last stand. There will simply be darkness, and then something else will wear your face while you cease to exist entirely."

His voice dropped to something almost gentle.

"You will steer clear of those infected. You will remain in Alfheimr for now, where THE Creature’s Weavings provide some measure of protection. You will not attempt heroics. You will not attempt reconnaissance. You will survive, because the dead, or in this case the replaced, cannot contribute to finding a solution."

...!

The reactions to Chaos’s words were immediate.

Emotive, who had been bouncing with manic energy moments before, turned silent and contemplative. Her emotions stopped cycling. Her smile faded. She stood perfectly still for perhaps the first time since Noah had seen her, processing the implications of what she had just heard with a seriousness that seemed almost foreign on her features.

Elemental became somber, his Phonemes slowing their rotation as the blood drained from whatever passed for his face. The weight of the threat seemed to press against his foundations with force that made him visibly smaller.

Origin and Hunger looked somber, exchanging glances that spoke of silent communication.

Noah looked at all of these changes with calculating eyes.

Fear was a powerful motivator, even though Absolutes...should not have any sense of fear!

And THE Primordial Chaos had just motivated everyone present to take this threat seriously.

He observed all of this.

But he couldn’t help but turn his gaze to Elemental.

"There is immense danger for everyone."

Noah’s voice cut through the heavy silence with authority that demanded attention.

"But man, the fucker I want to kill is right in front of me."

His illusory eyes locked onto Elemental with intensity that burned.

"You sent me a curse not too long ago, Elemental. You remember that?"

He tilted his head.

"It may not be the time or place, but in the grand scheme of things, you still have to die."

He turned toward THE Primordial Chaos.

"Say, O Primordial Chaos. Do you care if Elemental here goes to an early grave?"

...!

BOOM!

Noah’s words broke off the somber atmosphere as he looked at Chaos!

And he saw Chaos wave his hands nonchalantly as if he couldn’t care less about the fate of THE Living Elemental.

"I don’t give a damn who collapses who, just ensuring the infection isn’t spreading or having others here be carriers."

His shifting features formed something that looked almost like consideration.

"Actually, the less the better."

He nodded to himself.

"If more Absolutes died, that means fewer Absolutes to join the army of THE Entity."

His smile became something cold and calculating.

"Ho, this is actually a decent idea?"

BOOM!

The words of Chaos echoed out in the surroundings as the gazes of Emotive and Elemental flickered with calculations!

Noah looked at all these changes as Elemental looked back at him.

THE Living Elemental stood with the bearing of someone who had existed as an Absolute since long ago, his burly humanoid figure radiating authority that pressed against everything nearby.

And Noah smiled as he looked at this. This guy was using his Tongue, and thinks he can look at him with such a light of defiance?

As if they were having a staredown and Elemental did not want to lose as an Absolute, he spoke with a voice that held the weight of someone defending their pride. "You encroached upon my Civilization. Was I just supposed to sit there and take it? If I came upon you and your people, and I chose one of them and simply took them, would you sit still? As for your threats, they are merely baseless words with no backing. You are not even an Absolute. If not a trick like THE Weavers, you can’t do anything. Will you release your little heart and tell me to grab it if I can? Fuck off."

...!

BOOM!

Elemental’s existence pulsed with a fiery light as he defended himself for the first time in a while! One must not forget who Elemental was as his power was actually grand.

He had existed as an Absolute for many years, built foundations that let him stand among...well, only some of the most powerful beings in Observable Existence, and survived conflicts and schemes that had collapsed others.

But the moment these words echoed out, the skies of Alfheimr flickered! While the pillar of light representing the death of THE Weavers was fading into memory, a radiant new pillar of light representing the birth of another Absolute bloomed with obsidian-gold brilliance, and it even looked a little hairy.

The rise of a new Absolute was seen here under the gazes of others as they were astonished, with even Chaos having a look of thought before he disappeared.

THE Fallout made it hard for anyone to grasp Absolute as a consequence, and the corruption spreading across Observable Existence created barriers that should have prevented new Absolutes from emerging. So how did this one rise?

Noah smiled lightly as he looked at Elemental. He didn’t have the power of an Absolute? He had a backer of his Way, his Teacher, who just attained Absolute even with the curses of THE Fallout! The curse should make it impossible for any Absolutes to rise, but many things were impossible for others, but not for Absolutes.

And THE Big Stepper had something only Absolutes held access to when he took that step, an Absolute Everything, a currency that transcended the limitations THE Fallout had imposed.

As Noah smiled, Emotive was looking at him deeply with eyes that cycled through curiosity and calculation. "You don’t look the least bit surprised. Osmont, I’ve wanted to meet you dearly, but I have to ask now. You know the Absolute that has just risen? Are they under you? Is that why you torture my little Elemental with words? Because he says you don’t even have power of an Absolute, and bam, there rises an Absolute?"
