Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4687: The Cursed And The Blessed II

Chapter 4687: The Cursed And The Blessed II

Inside THE Loom.

While apocalyptic horrors raged outside...

Ambessa uncomfortably pulled on the collar of the obsidian-gold suit she was forced to wear by the forces of THE Living Elemental as she moved from one section of THE Loom to another.

Around her were a few Pre-THE and False THE entities who were surrounded with vibrant golden lights as shockingly, their Sovereignties were being elevated. They naturally and forcefully had their Depths taken to THE Surface Depth in a process that should have taken eons but was being accomplished in mere moments.

It truly fucking paid to be in THE Loom as while it razed down Existence, everything devoured was being swallowed up by it and distributed to a specific few.

But did they really need these ridiculous suits?

Ambessa would rather be wearing her bloomers and something free, not this full body coverage bullshit that constricted her movements and made her feel like a decorated puppet on display. The obsidian-gold fabric clung to every curve and left no room for comfort, designed more for presentation than practicality.

"Can you fucking relax? It is Liberation Day, and we have been chosen."

The words came sharp and cold from ahead of her.

"You’ll be standing in front of THE Living Elemental and THE Living Emotive soon as they prepare us for the emergence to the outside Existence once THE Fallout is done. We have been chosen. Show that fucking graciousness. You see that Depth of Paradox building inside you? That is eons of work erupting today, and it is not your own. Come on."

...!

The words came from a golden-haired Early Creature burning with a light of Elemental who was looking at Ambessa with cold eyes. A THE Surface Depth Elemental Early Creature who had already been given a high-sounding title that didn’t matter to shit to Ambessa what it was. Something like "Vanguard of the Elemental Emergence" or some equally pompous nonsense.

Ambessa glared back while following as she thought about how she had gotten here.

About how another one of her Avatars had been decimated while she had gone to seek the forces of Noah Osmont.

And because of that name, because of Osmont, she was chosen among those to receive the bigger boons of THE Loom during THE Fallout. She was having her Depth built regardless of how tough it was to go from False THE to actual THE.

All because of the little connection she had with Osmont.

Frankly, couldn’t they leave him alone? He was probably dead from THE Fallout anyways. The flames that were consuming Existence outside were not something that could be easily survived, and from what she last saw as her Avatar fully perished, Osmont had been outside when it all began.

Why did THE Living Elemental have such a grudge against him to be forming a task force of THEs that would be looking for Osmont after THE Fallout?

It seemed excessive. It seemed obsessive. It seemed like a waste of resources that could be better spent elsewhere.

But no one asked for her opinion, and she was smart enough not to offer it.

Ahead of her, the chirpy Elemental Early Creature smiled as they entered a domain filled with rivers of fire and water mixing beautifully. The elements intertwined in impossible harmony, flames dancing with currents and steam rising in artistic spirals that painted the air with prismatic light.

"Soon, we will meet with THE Living Elemental and THE Living Emotive themselves," the golden-haired creature announced with barely contained excitement. "They will give us our directives for how to move outside THE Loom for the first time into an Existence with conditions that will not be habitable for most. We are the explorers of a changed Existence from this Shelter of THE Loom. We are the pioneers who will chart the new landscape while others cower and hide."

Her eyes blazed with fervor.

"The outside Existence has been fundamentally altered. Distance means nothing and everything simultaneously. Communication through normal means is impossible. Perception is limited even for those at THE Fundamental Depth. It is a hostile, broken landscape that will swallow the unprepared whole."

She turned to face the group with a smile that held both pride and anticipation.

"But we have been given the tools to survive it. We have been given the authority to thrive in it. We are uncursed. We bear no Existential Ceiling. While every other being in Observable Existence has been branded with limitation, we emerge from THE Loom as the elite. As the chosen. As the inheritors of whatever remains."

Her voice rose with passion.

"We will see glory! We will claim territories that others cannot even perceive! We will establish the dominion of THE Loom across the shattered remnants of Observable Existence! This is Liberation Day, and we are the liberated! Rejoice!"

...!

Ambessa frowned at the words and sighed internally.

Right.

It was Liberation Day. THE Fallout. Those within THE Loom gained an interminable amount while the outside Existence burned. And THE Loom had already separated into multiple Shelters that would flow across Existence. When THE Fallout ended, they could observe and explore the changed inhabitable Existence while maintaining their rule from different bastions of protection.

Ambessa knew she was just a cog in the machine, and she was just fucking tired.

She didn’t want to keep chasing after this Osmont as every time, she kept fucking dying. Why didn’t the rest of them get the hint? Every encounter with that man ended with her Avatars being obliterated, her plans being thwarted, and her existence being put through unnecessary trauma.

But the higher-ups seemed to think her repeated failures made her an expert on the subject. As if dying to someone multiple times qualified you to hunt them down successfully.

The logic escaped her entirely.

But...

Ambessa raised her head and looked up, seeing waves of auroras descending down from the crystalline ceiling of this domain. They wrapped around her and elevated her power with warmth that felt almost nurturing despite its artificial nature. Other waves spread to different parts of THE Loom, reaching chosen individuals across the vast structure.

She could feel her Depth solidifying, the False THE designation she had carried for so long finally giving way to genuine THE Surface Depth of Absolute Sovereignty. It was a gift that most beings would kill for, a boon that represented eons of cultivation being compressed into moments.

And yet, all she could think about was the price she would have to pay for it.
