Chapter 4585: A Dissolution I
Chapter 4585: A Dissolution I
In the Primordial Genesis Shore, as Noah’s existence continued to shine with luminescent blue gold glow internally which even reflected outwardly through his skin, he looked at Ul’moreth with a radiant gaze filled with hunger for more knowledge.
Ul’moreth perceived this intensity and shook his head with what felt like an amused smile, though of course his entire form remained covered with thick hair all over as Noah was simply perceiving the emotion through other means.
The ancient entity gazed at him and spoke with knowing tone.
I can feel your impatience radiating from you, Little Anomaly. It is quite remarkable that you are already capable of uttering the Phoneme of Fire internally without having to hold all your focus exclusively on it. You are processing it as background activity while maintaining full awareness of your surroundings. But right now you already want to ask for more, yes? Very well. Okay!
They stopped walking at a small clearing between the impossibly tall trees.
Ul’moreth raised a hairy hand and motioned upward with casual gesture. A stick fell down from one of the towering trees above, landing perfectly in his grasp.
In the clearing surrounded by radiant trees filled with different types of civilizational authority, Ul’moreth began to use the stick to draw on the ground below with deliberate strokes.
|While there are countless variations and permutations of Phonemes throughout existence, while entities across all eras have developed specialized expressions and dialectical modifications, there are actually just eighteen Core Phonemes that can be considered the true alphabet of existence itself, The Letters of The First Tongue| he began while sketching the first symbol in the dirt.
From these eighteen fundamental letters, each one can produce eighty-one distinct variations. Fire, when written and expressed with slight modifications, can also stand for concepts like Persevere, Scorch, Purify, Consume, Ignite, and many others. These are tiny variations to the one Core Phoneme. In the end, you should be able to decipher all variations on your own once you understand the foundational structure, but the fundamental Phoneme of Fire will remain the same at its core.
He drew more elaborate patterns as he continued.
From the Phoneme of Fire alone, when mixed with other Phonemes...forms into larger structures we call Logos, words. But thats for later on. Fire can become Wildfire. It can become Soulfire, Coldfire, Voidfire. Each one is a different expression built upon the same foundational letter.
But Fire is merely one letter in the alphabet of Existence. Let me introduce you to the others, Little Anomaly, so you understand the complete linguistic framework you are learning to speak. And remember, all of these are merely the most accurate translation of The First Tongue.
He drew a flowing symbol next to the angular one representing Fire.
The second Core Phoneme is Water. It is the principle of flow, adaptability, persistence. These concepts of flow and adaptation are also variant Phonemes derived from the core Water. This Phoneme represents the concept of that which takes the shape of its container yet possesses its own inherent nature. Water embodies change without loss of self, transformation without destruction of identity.
Another symbol took shape, solid and geometric.
The third is Earth. Stability, foundation, endurance, the principle of that which remains when all else has passed. Earth is the concept of fundamental persistence, the bedrock upon which all other things are built. It represents materiality itself, the idea that things can be solid and real and permanent.
A swirling, almost invisible mark appeared.
The fourth Core Phoneme is Air. Movement, freedom, distribution, the principle of that which cannot be grasped but touches everything. Air represents the concept of pervasiveness without substance, influence without direct contact, the idea that some things affect all things without being seen or held.
He drew what looked like an empty circle, yet somehow it felt full of potential.
The fifth is Void. Not absence as many misunderstand, but rather the principle of potential, the space between things that allows them to exist separately. Void is what separates one thing from another, what makes distinction possible. Without Void, all would be compressed into undifferentiated unity. It represents the concept of possibility itself, the canvas upon which existence paints.
A radiating symbol burst forth on the ground.
The sixth Core Phoneme is Light. The electromagnetic radiation, the principle of revelation, clarity, the concept of that which makes other things visible and knowable. Light represents awareness, consciousness, the idea that things can be perceived and understood. It is the principle of illumination at all levels, from physical sight to intellectual comprehension.
Next to it, he drew what seemed to absorb the surrounding brightness.
The seventh is Darkness. Not absence of light, but rather the principle of mystery, hiddenness, the concept of that which remains unknown and unknowable. Darkness represents the limits of perception and understanding, the acknowledgment that some things exist beyond awareness. It is potential unrevealed, secrets maintained.
An organic, growing pattern emerged.
The eighth Core Phoneme is Life. Animation, growth, evolution, the principle of that which organizes itself into increasing complexity. Life is not merely biological processes but the concept of emergent order, the idea that complexity can arise from simplicity and perpetuate itself through time. It is the principle of organization resisting entropy.
Beside it, a symbol suggesting finality and release.
The ninth is Death. Cessation, ending, transformation through destruction, the principle of that which returns complexity to simplicity. Death is necessary, the concept that all organized things must eventually dissolve so their components can be reorganized. It represents the cycle of renewal through dissolution, the clearing of space for new creation.
He drew an arrow pointing forward, then another, creating a sense of progression.
The tenth Core Phoneme is Time. Sequence, causality, the arrow of cause and effect, the principle of that which ensures one thing follows another rather than all things occurring simultaneously. Time represents the concept of narrative itself, the idea that existence has a story rather than being a static tableau frozen in one moment.
Expanding lines radiating outward in all directions.
The eleventh is Space. Extension, dimension, the principle of distance and position, the concept of that which allows things to be here rather than there. Space represents separation through distance rather than through void, the idea that things can be far from each other rather than merely distinct from each other.
A perfectly symmetrical pattern of intersecting lines.
The twelfth Core Phoneme is Order. Pattern, structure, predictability, the principle of that which makes rules and ensures they are followed. Order is consistency, the concept that existence follows patterns rather than being completely random. It represents the idea of natural law itself, the framework within which things operate.
Chaotic scribbles that somehow formed a coherent whole.
The thirteenth is Chaos. Unpredictability, randomness, freedom from constraint, the principle of that which breaks patterns and creates novelty. Chaos is the concept of infinite possibility, the idea that existence is not bound by its past patterns. It represents genuine newness, the capacity for things to be different from what came before.
Interconnected circles forming a unified design.
The fourteenth Core Phoneme is Unity. Connection, relationship, the principle of that which binds separate things into cohesive wholes. Unity represents the concept that things can be related without losing their individual identity, that wholeness can emerge from diversity without destroying the components that create it.
A single shape splitting into multiple fragments.
The fifteenth is Division. Separation, distinction, the principle of that which takes unified things and creates multiplicity. Division is differentiation, the concept that one thing can become many things while retaining some connection to its origin. It represents the creation of diversity from unity, the flowering of possibility.
A point expanding outward into existence.
The sixteenth Core Phoneme is Beginning. Origin, initiation, the principle of that which starts processes and brings things into existence. Beginning is temporal and conceptual, the idea that there is a point at which something is not and then is. It represents the transition from nonexistence to existence.
A convergence of lines into a final point.
The seventeenth is Ending. Conclusion, completion, the principle of that which finishes processes and removes things from existence. Ending is cessation and fulfillment, the concept that things reach their natural conclusion rather than continuing indefinitely. It represents the transition from existence to nonexistence, the moment when something has completed its purpose.
Finally, he drew a symbol that seemed to contradict itself, existing and not existing simultaneously.
And the eighteenth and final Core Phoneme, Little Anomaly, is Paradox. Contradiction, impossibility, the principle of that which violates logic yet exists nonetheless. Paradox represents the concept that reality is not bound by consistency, that things can be and not be simultaneously, that existence itself contains contradictions that cannot be resolved. It is perhaps the most dangerous and the most powerful of all Core Phonemes because it undermines the very framework within which the others operate.
...!
Eighteen!
18 glorious letters glowed on the ground before him as each one felt grander than the last, but this...was The First Tongue.
