Chapter 3809: Inevitabilities and Prisons II
Chapter 3809: Inevitabilities and Prisons II
Away from the entity irreversibly entangling themselves with an Inevitability.
Deep within a concealed region of the Folds...
A golden figure stood surrounded by a suffocating veil of silence.
It was Master Hannibal- or at least, one of his bodies!
He was still meeting two other Masters of Existence at this moment.
He turned his gaze to the others, golden eyes glowing faintly.
"The Key led to a domain perfect for what we need. Authority is limited inside the Labyrinth. Isolation is normal. It’s...ideal for killing Originus Venerants."
WAA!
Silence.
Torus raised an eyebrow, his third eye flickering.
Modiyana let out a faint hum.
They all knew what Hannibal was implying.
In the upper realms of power, ascension was no longer about progression for thousands or millions of years. They had enough of that shit.
It was about devouring.
True progress came from consuming the Weavings of Existence of others at the same level.
A True Source would be made even more complex when suplemented with the qualities of another!
A True Source of Destiny that devoured the weavings of the True Source of Beginnings could do even grander things. Purity would suffer, but complexity would continue to rise!
It was a dog eat dog reality.
But doing that wasn’t easy.
Not when Originus Venerants were nearly indestructible and likely holding multiple Resistances at 100%!
To kill one... you needed two or three Masters.
But these three?
They had done it before.
Quietly.
Efficiently.
"Multiple Sunfolds Masters of Existence are already isolated in this Labyrinth," Hannibal continued. "They’ll be more as they use this opportunity. But...once the Labyrinth seals them in... no one will know what happens inside. A more perfect killing field could not have been asked for. We share the Weavings of Existence just like before, okay?"
...!
Torus remained silent, but his third eye slowly opened wider.
A signal of agreement.
Modiyana finally spoke, her voice like layered echoes.
"What about the anomaly with no memory? The Unbound Living Paradox?"
Hannibal’s smile was cold.
"The Unbound Living Paradox a little chick trying to act like some big time schemer. He was separated from me, but this Labyrinth will bring us together soon enough. With nobody to protect him, he will learn what havig true power means. The anomaly with no memory...we will see about that one! But lets get going..."
...!
Three Masters of Existence plotted, and then made the moves to carry out their plans!
As they did this.
Back in the Veiled Sunfolds, past the entrance leading to the Living Origin Labyrinth.
The body of Master Hannibal found itself standing at the entrance of a vast forest filled with glittering and massive crimson gold trees.
Vibrant possibilities and dangers could be seen within its depths with many unknowns as in the next moment...
WAP!
Living Origin Authority flickered behind him as four Primarchs of the Veiled Sunfolds appeared.
Their eyes held bright expectations as Master Hannibal turned to them and asked lightly.
"The archway I entered is the same one you all entered? How long before it began fading?"
Of the Four Primarchs, a woman with a gold robe on furrowed as if she was receiving information from strings of destiny she couldn’t quite grasp, her voice echoing out.
"Within 10 seconds, the archway seems to dim. We were the last to get in before it faded."
"Mmm, I see."
Master Hannibal nodded, his eyes flashing with a cold and emotionless light as in the next moment...
BOOM!
A hammer moving at speeds Primarchs with less than 100 Resistance Archetype Points could not even catch smashed down and utterly obliterated the head of the Primarch that just spoke, flinging her body towards Master Hannibal as the remaining 3 Primarchs looked up in shock and horror!
Master Hannibal remained emotionless as he caught the body of the Primarch, his mouth opening as when he bit down, a portion of the body of the Primarch disappeared in his mouth!
He nodded as he waves his other hand, controlling his Hammers and Shield to weave towards the remaining Primarchs.
Progression was hard.
One had to do all they could...to ensure they did not have to spend millions of years barely making progress!
—
Within the isolated domain of the Living Origin Labyrinth, Noah stood still.
His crimson-gold eyes swept across the horizon.
The world around him was enclosed but vast, with walls of living flame and condensed existence stretched endlessly in all four directions, forming a domain the size of a small world.
At its heart towered the golden tree.
Its branches reached thousands of miles into the air, each of the nine main limbs cradling massive budding treasure chests glowing faintly with sealed power.
And above it all... hovered the grotesque winged mass.
Its form twitched unnaturally, tendrils curling and flexing mid-air like a thing half-asleep.
Its name alone made Noah’s gaze sharpen.
He thought of many things.
The story Sigrid had whispered. The memory of a Creature pursued across eternity by things born from failed truths and collapsed beginnings.
Mutated Inevitabilities.
And now, one floated above him! It was high up as it did not bother with them, and seemed like it would only move once provoked.
To understand and take care of this...
He needed power.
Raw, undeniable power.
So far, he had used just over 100 Resistance Archetype Points.
He would see what this granted him before using the rest.
He stepped forward.
The ground pulsed faintly beneath him as he approached the outer zone surrounding the massive tree.
Dozens of figures stirred in the far distance, tens of miles away.
[Green Tier Living Origin Golem]
Each one stood silently, unmoving... yet radiating terrifying pressure.
Sigrid silently walked beside him, her presence steady.
From behind, Master Shen took a step closer, about to speak.
Before Master Shen could speak, Noah cut in without looking back. His voice was calm.
"If I told you something and I couldn’t explain how I knew... would you trust me?"
Master Shen raised a brow. "Depends."
Noah nodded once.
"Master Hannibal is communicating with other Masters of Existence right now to harm us and others residing in the Veiled Sunfolds. From the Mannafolds and the Chronosect of Threadbound Folds. If a strike isn’t already in play, one’s being prepared. You may want to warn the Dwellers of the Veiled Sunfolds. Especially since this Labyrinth has just been opened in this region."
BOOM!
Heavy words echoed out.
And yet...
Master Shen was silent.
Noah caught that silence and took it for confirmation.
"So you already knew something," he said dryly. "But what will you do now? Your Veiled Sunfolds has acquired quite the piece of Wonder. If word gets out..."
Shen drank deeply and sighed. "We knew something... not to this extent. I’ll handle it."
Noah nodded.
He turned to Sigrid.
"I may have to release the link between us briefly to fight."
She gave a short nod, her expression hardening.
Noah took a breath and stepped forward.
BZZT!
Crimson-gold flames surged around him. From his chest, a stellar garden began to unfurl- runes igniting, branches of Authority flowering outward!
