Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 3740: Days of Quintessence IV

Chapter 3740: Days of Quintessence IV

Marks of the Folds!

The rewards obtained for being able to succeed in the trials of this unique location, this Null Cradle of Fold-Breaking Ascension.

Its formation and sheer existence were surrounded by unfathomable complexity, as it stopped the outward expression of all True Sources regardless of Complexity and inserted their own Rules of Existence that were followed undeniably.

Even a Primarch would not be able to deny the weavings of existence here, weavings that even caused the Null Form to rise from someone as the only thing capable of doing anything.

No harm could be done to others through it.

Only the Calcified Wheels of Existence and Pillars of Concordance, which represented the heavy items to lift into their correct slots, were the things that the Null Form could express its weavings on.

As Noah came to understand this, one last burst of information came into his weavings and transformed into a prompt.

|Those who persist through this Outer Wheel of the Null Cradle unlock ascension to the Middle Wheel Platform, where even heavier burdens and rarer Marks await.|

A prompt to say that even grander waves of possibilities and complexities lay further above.

Noah nodded at it calmly as he looked at his 3-inch Null Form and began to walk forward, wanting to test out the weight of the Calcified Wheels and Pillars.

And on this obsidian horizontal Wheel, the area nearest to him had three entities—two Harmonized Sourcebound Icons and a Nascent Source-Bearer Complexity Entity—sitting around a floating obsidian Wheel.

The Wheel floated at everyone's eyeline, and there was a slot for the Wheel to be placed in down below. One had to drag it from its floating position and into that slot in order to gain a Mark of the Folds.

These three beings had been trying to do it for an indeterminate amount of time. Right now, one of them arose while stretching. It was a Living Thing, a man with a dark mustache and hair in violet robes.

A 40-inch Null Form surrounded him as he raised his hands to grasp onto the Calcified Wheel, and it was his Null Form that was able to clasp onto it. The Calcified Wheel buzzed with a terrifying pressure and weight as this entity tried to pull it down.

A Harmonized Sourcebound Icon, trying to simply pull something down, yet it was like an unfathomable weight and gravity forced it to stay right there. Even after groaning and seemingly expending a great deal of effort, the Calcified Wheel only moved down halfway.

From there, the Living Thing shook his head and let go, and the Calcified Wheel returned to its floating position. He went to sit on the nearby obsidian earth once more, as if he were recovering and trying to align to his Purity and Complexity even more.

At such a time,

Noah approached.

The three entities raised their eyes at him and glanced at his Null Form again before they shook their heads.

As Noah approached, he saw an obsidian light bloom around the floating Calcified Wheel that formed into weavings of information anyone could understand.

|Minor Calcified Paradoxical Wheel – 1 Nulltonian Unit of Existence. 1 Mark of the Folds.|

…!

Simple.

Easy to understand.

One simply had to take the alignment of their True Source that represented their Null Form, and as long as they were complex enough while having a stupendous alignment, they could pull the weight of this Wheel down and slot it into the ground to obtain a Mark of the Folds.

A Living Thing and two Dead Things sat here. Apart from the man in violet robes and dark mustache, the two Dead Things held obsidian skeletal bodies surrounded by Null Forms approximately 40 inches large for each of them.

The man in the violet robes looked at Noah and smiled as he spoke.

"Brother, what True Source did you tack onto yourself to have such little alignment that your Null Form is this small?"

…!

The man asked calmly, as conflict was not an issue here. Nobody was able to attack each other.

The Dead and the Living could speak freely.

Noah looked at this Living as his Lineage pulsed silently, information appearing above him.

NAME: Caelnor of the Destifolds

TITLE: Harmonized Sourcebound Icon

TRUE SOURCE: Chaos

CQ: 5,666 (9,666) | PQ: 5,666 (9,666)

STATUS: Marked

THREAT RATING: Variable – Low

A Living Thing, but his Quotients were unique, as he had obtained Marks of the Folds before and gained a compression of his Complexity and Purity. His power as a Harmonized Sourcebound Icon at 5,666 PQ and CQ was actually more powerful than any other Harmonized Sourcebound Icon, as it almost spilled into the level of a Resplendent Monad.

But the compression of his Complexity and Purity by the Mark of the Folds allowed him to express a terrifying level of power, as he could remain a Harmonized Sourcebound Icon and undergo more rounds of compression to be capable of even standing against a Resplendent Monad.

That was how terrifying this Null Cradle of Fold-Breaking Ascension and its Marks of the Folds were.

Caelnor of the Destifolds and the two Dead Things here clustered around this Calcified Wheel that could grant 1 Mark of the Folds, while there were groups of beings, both Living and Dead, sitting, standing, or moving around different Wheels and Pillars that granted different Marks of the Folds depending on their Nulltonian Unit of Existence.

Noah looked at Caelnor, who was smiling with light laughter while looking at his small 3-inch Null Form that looked like a layer of blue gold skin around him as he asked,

"Why? Is my Null Form not enough to pull something with a single Nulltonian Unit of Existence?"

…!

His question was simple, but Caelnor and the two Dead Things looked at each other before the three broke into laughter.

"Haha, Brother, your Null Form is scrawny. Smaller than anything else I have seen before in this blessed Null Cradle of Fold-Breaking Ascension that we have been boundlessly lucky to find. Countless Primarchs try to locate this place that paradoxically exists across the Folds, as nobody can seek it, they can only be lucky enough to arrive. You were lucky, but… man. You are so tiny that you will not benefit from one of the most mysterious wonders of the Folds…"

Caelnor shook his head as if this were such a pity.

One of the Dead Things, distinguished as Xarnei, also chipped in, as its skeletal face cracked into a smile while pointing to the left where a black glow came to emergence.

"Look there, a little tiny Wheel that holds a hundredth of a Mark of the Folds has regenerated. We will leave that for someone as small as you to begin accumulating Marks."

…!

The Wheels and Pillars holding Marks of the Folds would fade once successfully slotted, raised, or endured, and only after some time would they regenerate to continue granting others Marks of the Folds.

Noah was pointed toward a small budding Calcified Wheel at this time because he was so small.

|Absolute Minor Calcified Paradoxical Wheel – 0.01 Nulltonian Unit of Existence. 0.01 Mark of the Folds.|

"…"

An extremely tiny Wheel.

Caelnor nodded as he saw it and continued.

"Yes Brother, look. Others small and weak like you are already going to claim it. It will be taken if you do not move quickly…"

A Nascent Source-Bearer Complexity Entity was already near the tiny obsidian Wheel that would give 0.01 Marks of the Folds, because even this was treasured and would allow others to slowly begin accumulating and increasing their power, as their Null Form would gradually increase in size from it.

But Noah shook his head as he looked at the distant area where this Dead Thing had already arrived and grabbed the floating obsidian Wheel in the air. His expression twisted to show strain as this being pushed down with a terrifying air and slowly but surely slotted the small Wheel on the ground.

HUUM!

An obsidian gold glow erupted from the filled slot as if a key had been slotted into a door, and a faint obsidian gold line formed and descended unto the body of the Nascent Source-Bearer's entity, who smiled with contentment, his power rising slightly.

"You missed it, Brother."

Caelnor shook his head lightly.

And Noah turned his gaze and came to focus on the floating obsidian Wheel in front of him that was worth a single Mark of the Folds as he shook his head.

"I will just slot this one in, Brother. A single full Mark of the Folds is better than 0.01."

…!

He spoke such words calmly, as if he were confident enough to be able to pull down something that even those with 40-inch Null Forms could not.

Caelnor and the Dead Things looked at each other before they shook their heads.

"Well, you won't listen until you see for yourself. Take care of your Null Form. Be careful that it does not break trying to pull this. Come, Little Brother, let us see what a 3-inch Null Form is capable of."

Both the two Dead Things and Caelnor showed hidden smiles, as if they had seen something like this too many times, where others that simply did not have the capability were about to learn a heavy lesson.

Noah walked toward the obsidian Wheel at his eyeline as he raised his hands and looked at his Null Form.

Three inches.

All because this region sensed the many True Sources surging within him paradoxically and deemed things not to be in alignment.

But he was in glorious alignment all around, as currently, his outwardly expressed Lineage shown as a blue gold Null Form was something that was arguably the most aligned with his being.

Even a True Source may not be as aligned as his Lineage that he had been building since the day he could utilize Mana.

So even though it looked small, he was confident enough to be terrifying and able to carry wonders.

He proceeded to put both hands on the edges of the obsidian Wheel. A buzz of light emerged at the beginning, right after, as the Wheel remained anchored in space.

Caelnor and the Dead Things smiled.

Just to move this Wheel, a Null Form that could exert a terrifying amount of force was required.

What could a 3-inch Null Form do?

"Brother, it is okay. Look here—…!"

In the midst of Caelnor's words,

His eyes began to open wide and nearly protruded out of their sockets.

Because at this moment, Noah held the obsidian Wheel anchored by a terrifying Paradoxical force.

His Null Form acted like another layer of him, as it was the one applying the force.

And…

BZZT!

He felt the resistance.

But the force of his Lineage was like a terrifying Beast. Even though it did not express itself in size, when he held something worth 1 Nulltonian Unit of Existence, it felt weightless on his Null Form.

And so…

WHOOSH!

He smoothly pulled down the Wheel from its anchored space as terrifying blasts of resistance buzzed.

And without breaking a sweat, he pulled it down to slot it as if he were carrying a small plate to a table.

An action that caused the eyes of Caelnor to nearly pop out, as the seated Dead Things rose up in incredulity!
