Chapter 461 - Capítulo 461: Beating A Sage Is Easy
Capítulo 461: Beating A Sage Is Easy
Xiang Yu opened his eyes to find himself in a microscopic world, watching the most fundamental form of combat – cells battling against invading bacteria, each victory or defeat a matter of life and death despite the tiny scale.
Even at the smallest of scales, combat still existed and thrived.
The scene expanded outward. Ants swarmed to defend their colonies from predators, each tiny warrior driven by pure instinct to fight and survive.
The battlefield grew larger as wild beasts clashed in forests and plains, tooth and claw determining the victor.
The scope widened further. Beast clans engaged in territorial wars, their roars shaking mountains as they fought for dominance.
Cultivation sects rose and fell in spectacular battles, techniques that could split the heavens colliding.
Rivers of blood flowed endlessly – everywhere was combat.
Worlds burned as armies swept across their surfaces.
Entire planets cracked under the pressure, returning to cosmic dust.
Xiang Yu watched as solar systems became battlefields, their stars used as weapons in conflicts that spanned light-years.
Galaxies collided, billions of years of combat compressed into moments as he observed. The very concept strings that held the chaos together became strained as universes themselves went to war, each fighting for dominance and survival.
Multiverses ruptured like bubbles, infinite possibilities engaging in combat on scales that defied comprehension. Laws fought against laws, concepts battled concepts, the very idea of conflict spreading across all planes of existence.
Through it all, Xiang Yu stood as an observer, watching the eternal cycle of combat play out on every conceivable scale. From the smallest cellular struggle to the grandest cosmic war, he saw the single thread that connected them all – the fundamental drive to overcome, to survive, to emerge victorious, and even combat just for combat’s sake.
He felt it all.
As understanding dawned, all of this infinite conflict began to condense before him.
Every battle, every war, every struggle across all scales of existence compressed into a single point of pure combat essence. With a gentle motion, he closed his hand around it, the entirety of combat’s infinite expressions fitting perfectly within his palm.
He had transcended Combat.
Xiang Yu slowly opened his eyes.
“This is…”
He felt his energy beginning to rise.
He took advantage of the situation and teleported right next to the spirit veins.
He had already upgraded them to the sage realm the day before. He didn’t absorb the qi with his spiritual root as it was still in the celestial grade. He absorbed with his skin instead, just like beasts did.
This was extremely easy with his primordial level bloodline.
He grabbed branches of the five spirit veins and endlessly absorbed energy.
Two hours passed as he remained like this, just endlessly absorbing energy.
Even the spirit veins themselves were shocked by this.
Even though their reserves had practically no end, they still felt the immense strain as Xiang Yu’s absorption speed kept getting faster and faster. It wouldn’t be long before he could absorb more than they could produce in time – they were almost running dry.
After thirty more minutes, Xiang Yu finally relaxed and let go of the spirit veins.
He had absorbed so much energy that they were almost withering, lacking the required energy to sustain themselves. Xiang Yu apologized to the fairies of the spirit veins and gave them hundreds of saint level treasures with a wave of his hand.
He then teleported back to his previous location to check his stats.
…
[Realm: Body: Martial God; Spirit: First Path Sage; Mind: Primordial; Soul: Primordial]
He looked at the status screen.
He really had broken through to the sage realm.
It seemed his theory was right – the tenth level was equal to transcendence.
Li Yao was away, experiencing the level nine Heavenly Dao Body tribulation. He needed to work hard to breakthrough to level ten Transcendent Dao Body so he could pull her Heavenly Dao Body to level ten too.
That way, she could transcend instantly, without even getting to the god realm.
Xiang Yu examined himself. The level of increase he felt in pure energy was incomparable to before. And even more, the pure increase in power. The sage realm was really incomprehensible.
Another thing was that he had now unlocked the ability to see through alternate paths.
It was the unique ability of the sage realm. With this, he could even attack others’ alternate paths and damage them through this method.
He concentrated on himself and tried viewing his own alternate path.
Surprisingly, there was nothing. There was no alternate Xiang Yu.
He breathed in relief. He had expected something like this – there was no way the system would be duplicated like that by a concept birthed from existence.
This was the best possible outcome for him. He didn’t even want to imagine there being thousands of beings like himself.
The world would simply cease to exist.
Speaking of dangerous entities, he tracked Li Yao’s path.
This was just like his – there was just a single Li Yao. He wondered if this was some sort of joke.
He looked at his master and martial aunt. There were hundreds of them. It seemed it was working normally for them.
For himself, he understood the reason, but for Li Yao, not so much. He wondered if it was the sage hiding it since Li Yao was technically her. After some thought, he concluded it might have something to do with the Heavenly Dao.
After all, Li Yao was the Heavenly Dao avatar.
Xiang Yu felt a wave of relief wash over him knowing that there was just this one Li Yao in all of existence. Well, there was also the sage, but that was another matter.
He summoned the system’s simulation function to test out his current strength.
He chose the First Path Sage of Causality with Martial God realm.
In the fight, Xiang Yu found it surprisingly easy. He was so much more powerful than the sage that it wasn’t even a competition. The only strange thing he noticed was that the sage somehow always made the best textbook perfect move for every situation.
He wondered if this was an ability related to causality or if it was a unique ability of hers.
Well, no matter. As long as he had overwhelming power, there was nothing she could do against him.
After the easy win, he was feeling a little confident and chose the Second Path Sage with Martial Saint realm.
