Chapter 525 – Nameless Artis
Chapter 525 – Nameless Artis
I was able to calm down with Ai Mi’s guarantee. After another discussion with Peng TouSi, we decided to have Ai Mi personally call Ai ShuQiao. She would lie and tell her mom she was missing a personal doctor and needed her mom to send over one of her doctors who is skilled at brain surgeries.
Peng TouSi didn’t seem particularly surprised we were able to resolve our conflicts peacefully. In his words, “Although you guys don’t have similar appearances, you have much more in common with each other than one might think.”
Is that true? I do know that we both have a fear of heights and like to hug things when we sleep…
Everything went smoothly, Ai ShuQiao easily agreed to Ai Mi’s request. As for matters related to American doctors coming to Chinese hospitals and operating on patients for free, Peng TouSi was responsible for handling all related matters. Since there were many precedents during the Sichuan earthquake, it would not be particularly difficult.
“I have to be straightforward, the doctor Mom sent over is a bit strange, so you should be prepared.”
“How strange.” I asked curiously, “Even stranger than Peng TouSi?”
Peng TouSi said with discontent, “Hey, I’m standing right here.”
Ai Mi frowned slightly as she tried to recall her memories about the doctor as if it caused her a lot of headaches.
“His name is Yu SuiLiang, a Chinese American with a green card. I met him twice when I was a kid, he was a very strange guy…”
“Uh… I think it’s common for talented people to have strange behaviors, but how’s his medical skills?”
“You don’t have to worry about that, of the doctors in my mom’s company, Yu SuiLiang is the best doctor’s (sigh) classmate.”
And I’m the neighbor of the friend of the aunt of the chairman. Invite the best doctor, I don’t want his classmate.
“Hey, don’t look down on people! Yu SuiLiang has a double doctorate in medicine and engineering. His goal in life is to create a cyborg…”
This sounds like it’s going down the route of Frankenstein’s monster! I want a doctor to cure Li CunZhuang, not to transform him. Does Ai ShuQiao not have any normal people around her?
“Actually, he was only recently hired at my mother’s company. He previously worked at a charity foundation, but when he was doing aid work in Angola, he implanted chips into the body of rats. It made the group up and run around crazily causing widespread panic, so he ended up getting fired…”
“Since there are strict medical laws in the U.S., Dr. Yu felt like his hands were tied and couldn’t exhibit his abilities to its best, so he already wanted to come back to China. There was no way he was going to miss this opportunity…”
I was worried, “Don’t tell me he only wants to transform others, but doesn’t actually know how to treat people.”
Peng TouSi replied on Ai Mi’s behalf, “Dr. Yu’s surgical skills are first-rate, he once performed brain surgery on a two-year-old child, which caused a huge controversy at the time, but…”
“But what.”
“But if you injured your arms or legs, definitely don’t go to him for treatment. He will try every possible way to persuade you to amputate your limbs and replace them with his high-tech prosthetics. He calls it ‘advancing the evolution of new human beings’…”
I was completely speechless.
So the reason he was returning to China was to carry out human experimentation!
I better keep my distance from Dr. Yu. I just hope he can cure Li CunZhuang’s without making any other modifications.
Otherwise, it would be too frightening if Li CunZhuang woke up from his operation with the ability to fire lasers from his eyes.
After things were basically finalized, I called Li CunZhuang’s parents and told them that an American surgical expert would fly to Dong Shan city in three days to do free brain surgery for Li CunZhuang.
Of course, I played down my own role in the conversation, saying that an American Foundation heard of their difficulties and had taken the initiative to send a doctor.
Li CunZhuang’s parents were skeptical as they had not requested assistance nor did they belong to a family in financial difficulty, so they could not have attracted the attention of an American charity.
Peng TouSi took the phone from my hands and began to dupe them. In short, he said that the American Foundation wanted to expand its influence in China. They heard from Ye Lin that your son was sick, so they thought it was just the right opportunity. The follow-up matters would be negotiated between him and the hospital, and everything would be done in accordance to regulations. When the time comes, all they had to do was sign the consent form for the surgery.
“Ye Lin, you… actually know experts in the US? Young people nowadays really can’t be underestimated.”
Li CunZhuang’s father said to me over the phone.
“Regardless of the final outcome, I have to thank you in advance for running around for Zhuang Zi. I think it’s a blessing from our ancestors for Zhuang Zi to have a friend like you.”
Hey, that’s something you generally say to your daughter-in-law, don’t say it to me. It made me remember Fang Xin’s prophecy again which said “the person you love most will die”.
In order to cure my friend’s sickness, I can roll myself up in carpet then let Ai Mi jump on top of me, but Li CunZhuang isn’t the one I love the most.
But in retrospect, I still can’t explain that night. Why did my phone automatically dial 110, it always felt very mysterious, and I still haven’t found a scientific explanation.
I had a good night’s sleep that night.
Two problems were solved at once. I was able to get a doctor and also clarify my sibling relationship with Ai Mi.
Although there were some bumps, it went better than I thought. It felt like tomorrow would be another day brimming with sunshine and hope.
Then tomorrow came.
The three days of vacation we had due to the high school exams occupying our classroom was officially over. Which meant from Friday onward, we had to attend eight days of classes in a row. There wasn’t a single student without complaints and it felt like the cruel life as a third year student had come earlier.
“I’m so happy I could see Ye Lin again.”
Xiao Qin said to me cheerfully. It seems that her menstrual cramps were almost gone and it wasn’t a problem anymore.
But I covered the bottom right corner of my desk in embarrassment.
If you ask why, it’s because the student who was taking the exam in my seat left a very dirty drawing with a ballpoint pen.
Why couldn’t they just focus on writing their exam? Is it because they usually don’t study seriously which lead to the same bad habits when writing the exam? Even if that is the case, you should at least try your best to fill in your exam and not waste time.
Damn, the examinee might not have been good at exams, but their drawing skills are off the charts! They easily sketched the outline of two naked cartoon-style girl with a ballpoint pen. One of the girls had her legs spread in an M shape, shamelessly displaying the content between the legs. The other girl was holding up her heavy chest with her hands and she had a look like she wants her appetite to be appeased.
It’s at the level where it can be published into an H manga. There’s no point going to higher education, might as well move to Japan to develop and you might make a name for themselves.
The worst thing was that the two naked girls were drawn with a ballpoint pen. It was etched into the wood and couldn’t be erased with an eraser. I guess I have to use the Swiss Army knife that I have been hiding.
Xiao Qin should stop looking this way, I don’t want her to see such a humiliating painting.
I took a sigh of relief when the class finally ended and Loud Mouth called Xiao Qin to go to the washroom together. I took out my Swiss Army knife from my bag and wanted to scrape off the naked girl’s drawing on my desk.
But I was caught off guard, right when I moved the paper away, Xiao Qin came running back. She jumped right in front of my desk and was able to get a good look at the drawing.
“Eh.” Xiao Qin froze.
Did she freeze from shock?
“Eh eh eh eh eh.”
Xiao Qin was astonished.
“Ye Lin students actually draws so well. I didn’t know about it at all.”
I wasn’t the one who drew it. It was a depressed senior who couldn’t answer the exam.
“This body… it’s almost on the same level as Celery-sensei.”
No, I’m pretty sure it’s far above Celery-sensei’s level. I’m not exaggerating when I say these two naked women are vivid to the extent that you can directly jerk off to.
Xiao Qin suddenly became a little discouraged, but it had nothing to do with her drawing skills.
“So Ye Lin students likes this style… but I can’t copy the one on the left for the time being…”
The one on the left, the one holding the two balloons? Yeah, you can’t copy it for the time being and you can’t copy it for the rest of your life, but Gong CaiCai has potential…
“If Ye Lin classmate likes the one on the right, I can do it…”
Xiao Qin said with a red face.
The right one with the spread legs? I’m not going to be able to focus in school if you keep talking about H stuff.
I pulled Xiao Qin aside and used the Swiss Army knife to scrape off the naked woman on the desk leaving unsightly marks, but it was much better than the original.
But the class leader witnessed me destroying public property.
“Ye Lin, what are you doing?”
The class leader entered from the back door just in time to see me making the last cut to the desk.
“Destroying desks and also bringing such a long knife to school…” the class leader glared at me and reached her hand out to me, “The desk matter will be dealt with later. First give me the knife, dangerous things must be confiscated immediately.”
What? The knife was a limited edition diplomatic gift from Wu Sheng. It’s an upgraded version of the Centurion and you can’t even but it if you had money.
As if reading my mind, Xiao Qin blinked and said to the class leader:
“Um, I brought the knife from home, Ye Lin classmate was just playing with it. My mom will scold me if it’s confiscated, so please be lenient and let me off the hook this time…”
