Just as Su Yang was thinking this, Janet stormed out of the pool, dripping wet as he blocked Su Yang’s path.

Despite having a pitch-black body, its dark eyes still lit up as they glittered. It occasionally blinked and seemed like it had disappeared from the world when it turned completely black. Still, it looked like it could melt the hearts of anyone who laid eyes on it.
Su Yang wasn’t a person who fancied pets but when he saw this kitten, his eyes lit up. He couldn’t help himself from squatting down so he could reach out and play with the kitten.
However, he didn’t expect that the little kitten was still as agile as when it was a leopard. It straightened its body and raised its head as it opened its mouth while squinting its eyes. Then, it loudly meowed at Su Yang. It sounded like the sound of a child crying without even a hint of fierceness. Instead, he felt like its meow made it that much more adorable.
Su Yang laughed and grabbed the little kitten but struggled to escape his grip. However, Su Yang had it in a death grip no matter how much it struggled. Finally, it gave up and lay quietly in his hands, looking like it had lost all will to live.
Janet felt less threatened as well as his gills disappeared. He glanced coldly at the kitten, gave Su Yang a salute, and turned around to head back to the pool.
Sensing Janet’s disdain, the kitten cried out and was about to fight him to the death, but Su Yang hugged it tighter in his arms so it kept quiet.
Just as it was tossing and turning, the system prompt on its body appeared as well.
