When discussing how the Bodhisattva did this and that, you are only fit to listen obediently. Stop showing off your half-belly of ink here!]

[Our Bodhisattva’s previous life response body was born in the Brahmin household of Fande in the Duoluo settlement of Sindhu Kingdom.]

[The Bodhisattva was born from her mother’s right flank. Her body was purple-gold in color and complete with all marks and signs. Upon falling to the ground, She could speak like a heavenly child, and seven treasures covered Her body. All kinds of auspicious omens appeared in the household.]

[When the Bodhisattva’s previous life response body grew older, She went to the various heavenly beings to seek the Dharma of renunciation, but none of the Brahmins or disputation masters could respond to Her. Thus, She took refuge in Buddha Ancestor, left home to study the Dharma, and assisted Buddha in spreading transformation…]

[Later, the Bodhisattva went to the Great Snow Mountain and sat cross-legged beneath a Nyagrodha tree, expounding and explaining the twelve divisions of scripture for five hundred heavenly beings.]

[Lecturing on scriptures and transmitting the Dharma brought great merit upon Her. Great flames of light emerged from the pores all over the Bodhisattva’s body, melting Her golden body and forming a glazed image. Sitting upon a lotus platform, She awakened and attained liberation, proving the second fruit rank Sakrdagamin.]

[After the Bodhisattva attained liberation and proved the Dao, She ascended to Western Pure Bliss Heaven, opened a dojo in the Land of True Reward and Solemn Adornment, broadly accepted disciples, and spread Dharma and lectured on scriptures…]

[The White Elephant Demon speaks extremely quickly, as if this section of lesson content has long since been firmly memorized, to the point that it can recite it backward.]

[He asks you this: what fruit rank has the Bodhisattva now attained?]

[The old scripture master is somewhat embarrassed by what the White Elephant Demon said. He wants to ask more specifically, but feels that would be beneath his dignity, so he continues questioning in the name of examination.]

[But this question causes a troubled expression to appear on the White Elephant Demon’s face.]

[The White Elephant Demon says somewhat hesitantly, Our Bodhisattva widely transmitted Buddhist Dharma in the Land of True Reward and Solemn Adornment, and Her own magic power also advanced greatly. Not long afterward, She attained first fruit rank Srotapanna and became Enma’s left attendant.]

[The Bodhisattva should originally have ascended to the Eternal Stillness Pure Land, but something unknown went wrong in the Bodhisattva’s cultivation, causing Her to fall back to second fruit rank, which is why She has always remained in the Land of True Reward and Solemn Adornment…]

[As for whether the Bodhisattva has now recovered the realm of first fruit rank, even the Bodhisattva’s personal disciples do not know.]

[The old scripture master originally still harbors the heart to seek instruction, but after hearing this, he cannot help slapping the table and scolding, What nonsense are you talking about!]

[Great Dark Endless Delusion Bodhisattva proved the Dao with second fruit rank, and later, after receiving Enma’s enlightenment, attained first fruit rank, which is how She became Enma’s left attendant.]

[As for the nonsense you mentioned about something going wrong in cultivation and falling to second fruit rank, that is completely fabricated!]

[Which absurd scripture did you read these fallacies from? Bring it here and burn it! Burn it!]

[The old scripture master is so angry that his beard bristles and his eyes glare. He is just short of throwing the White Elephant Demon out of the lecture hall.]

[As the Bodhisattva’s eldest disciple, everything the White Elephant Demon knows comes from what it personally witnessed, and is far more real and accurate than the scriptures passed down in the mortal world.]

[Now that it has been doubted by the old scripture master, it is so angry that it laughs instead, saying, Fallacy? Then let me ask you: if the Bodhisattva has already attained first fruit rank, why did She not go to the Eternal Stillness Pure Land, but instead remain in the Land of True Reward and Solemn Adornment?]

[This question touches the old scripture master’s blind spot of knowledge. The old scripture master stammers for a long time but cannot answer with any reason.]

[The old scripture master’s face turns red, then green. Flustered and exasperated, he says, You big-bellied monk, your belly is full of fallacies and nonsense, and you still want to listen to the lecture? Hurry up and get out!]

[The old scripture master then turns to you with a pleasant expression and says, This monk, however, is modest and polite. You may stay to listen to the lecture. Master will transmit the Dao to you, teach you, and answer your doubts.]

[This attitude is clearly meant to make things difficult for the White Elephant Demon, angering the White Elephant Demon so much that veins bulge on its forehead and its face and neck flush red.]
