An Lin heaved a resigned sigh and turned to look at all the imprisoned and tortured Spirit-Engulfing Beasts with a sympathetic expression. “What do we do then? Try again?”

Tina placed her hands on her hips with an angry expression. “These nine tribes have only just taken care of the Spirit-Engulfing Beasts, and they’re back to their old tricks already! Wars have ensued between tribes again; it’s like they won’t be satisfied unless they’re fighting! Recently, the Dark Wing Tribe discovered Qi Lou City and have set their sights on humans, saying they’re lower level lifeforms that should be enslaved!”

“Lower level lifeforms? How did the Dark Wing Tribe come to that conclusion?” An Lin was shocked to hear this.

“They say that humans look like them but don’t have wings! It’s a case of I have it and you don’t, so you’re inferior!” Tina chuckled coldly.

An Lin: “…”

He was completely speechless at this thought process.

“If I hadn’t placed a handicap on the powers of the Dark Wing Tribe whenever they went near a human, the human race would have probably been enslaved already.” Tina pursed her lips, clearly extremely unhappy with the Dark Wing Tribe’s arrogant logic.

Humans were inferior to them? Didn’t they know how bad*ss the humans on Tai Chu Continent were?

Even her owner, Giant An Lin, was a human. So weren’t they essentially saying that their god was inferior to them?

Tina almost annihilated the entire Dark Wing Tribe there and then, but she still repressed her urge to do so after drawing on her patience as a God of Creation.

The meaning of Tina’s words was very clear. She wanted to have another go!

The nine tribes were like her own children. As such, she would rather see them grow together as they fought against an external threat, rather than allowing them to slaughter one another.

She was going to create a perfect antagonistic tribe this time. They were going to instigate a legendary war, in which the human race and the nine tribes rose together as one to fight for the safety and prosperity of the world!

Thus, the question arose again; how were they going to create an antagonist that fit the bill?

Tina turned to An Lin with a lost expression and blinked her emerald eyes at him, clearly waiting for him to come up with another idea.

An Lin looked back at Tina as his head began to throb. “Honestly, it’s very hard to invent a concept for an antagonistic tribe with low intelligence, yet powerful enough to stand against the nine tribes and the human race, and at the same time, also keeping environmental damage to a minimum…”

He thought for a moment before coming up with an idea. “How about we create a tribe like locusts with extremely powerful reproductive abilities that can survive via photosynthesis and drinking the blood of highly-intelligent lifeforms? We will overwhelm the nine tribes with a policy of quantity over quality!”

“That’s too crude!” Tina shook her head with contempt.

An Lin’s lips twitched. The antagonists had to be sophisticated too?

Another thought suddenly occurred to him as he conceptualized a more sophisticated antagonistic tribe. “Little Na, we could create some monsters capable of using the powers of laws. For example, sickle monsters that can guarantee three-strike kills, or flame monsters that can only be killed by powerful water-type spell techniques, or debilitating monsters that weakened beings that come within a ten-meter distance of them…”

Tina’s eyes lit up before she became downcast and shook her head with disappointment. “No. Bestowing the powers of laws upon living beings is something that I can’t do with my current level of power…”

An Lin was a little taken aback to hear this. “Not even some weaker laws?”

“Laws are laws. They represent a power that transcends beyond normal power. They are powers of a higher tier, and there is no strong or weak differentiation between the laws.”

Tina gave an example here. “For example, if someone were to possess the power of a law that allows them to kill all humans named Xiao Ming, that would be quite a useless power to have, right?”

An Lin nodded. “There aren’t that many people named Xiao Ming nowadays, so that is indeed quite useless.”

Tina smiled. “Then, for example, there was another person who could change everyone’s name to Xiao Ming. This power of law seems quite useless as well, right?”

An Lin nodded. “Isn’t that just a gag ability?”

He then suddenly seemed to realize something as his pupils contracted drastically.

Tina continued to present her case, “Then, what if these two were to meet…”

An Lin was already one step ahead of her, and he drew a sharp intake of breath. “That would be a genocidal epidemic!”

“Thus, there is no strong or weak power of law. The power of law in itself is a power that transcends beyond everything. They’re like invincible forces and reckless usage of them can result in unimaginably catastrophic consequences.

“Hence, it’s best to be more cautious and refrain from experimenting with the powers of laws until I gather more power.”

A solemn expression appeared on Tina’s face as she spoke about this, so it was clear to see that she took this very seriously.

An Lin could understand where she was coming from. Hence, he had to think of another way to invent an antagonistic tribe.

Everything was made exceedingly difficult by the upper limit placed on their intelligence.

An Lin and Tina were both completely stumped.

They had a feeling that whatever they did to make a creature more powerful and bad*ss, they couldn’t escape the fact that these creatures were all destined to be retards… With this in mind, they were at a complete loss!

The trauma of the Spirit-Engulfing Beasts was still fresh in their minds.

An Lin suddenly clapped his hands together. “I think there is another way; we can redeem the Spirit-Engulfing Beasts!”

“What do you mean?” Tina asked with a quizzical expression.

An Lin replied, “The Spirit-Engulfing Beasts don’t have brains, right?”

Tina’s expression darkened. “They do have brains, it’s just that their brains aren’t all that smart.”

“It’s all the same. They’re all retards in any case. However, the dinosaurs are retards too! But why is it that dinosaurs can survive but the Spirit-Engulfing Beasts can’t? What I’m saying is…” An Lin paused for a moment as if to collect his thoughts before continuing. He said, “It doesn’t matter that the Spirit-Engulfing Beasts don’t have brains, we can just transform them into killing machines!”

“What’s the difference?” Tina was still quite confused.

“The difference is, we made them extremely powerful from the get-go so that they can hunt for highly-intelligent lifeforms in order to enhance their own strengths. However, they are limited by their lack of strategy and self-restraint. We can take that trait away from them and give them powerful concealment techniques. That way, they would be able to exercise self-restraint and bide their time in the shadows before selectively attacking their prey.

“As such, the lure and conquer strategies of the nine tribes would be ineffective as the monsters wouldn’t just mindlessly pounce on highly-intelligent lifeforms anymore. On top of that, it would be extremely difficult to find them, and the nine tribes would live in a state of constant danger.

“No matter where they are or what time of day it is, they could be preyed upon without warning! Such nightmarish creatures will be sure to unite them and make them strive for constant self-improvement in order to better protect themselves!”

An Lin suddenly spoke in an excited voice.

Tina’s eyes immediately lit up upon hearing this. “Good idea! Let’s give it a try!”

As for why the two of them chose the Spirit-Engulfing Beasts, perhaps it was just an irrational fixation on an idealized concept.

In other words, they wanted to pick themselves up from where they had fallen.

Hopefully, the second generation Spirit-Engulfing Beasts would rid them of the titles of the idiotic God of Creation and her stupid accomplice…
